Version 0.6 is up!

v0.6 is something of a revamp of the de jure duchy/kingdom setup which some people (myself included) did not really take to in the new patch -- included herein are also a multitude of additions, changes and (hopefully temporary) fixes.

Many thanks to my usual playtesters for their feedback and suggestions, and to those who have let me include elements of their work either in full or in part.

This version is for the new 1.05b patch/hotfix combo. Click here if you'd like to see some screenshots. :)

Thanks -- added. I've also corrected succession types for England, Ireland, Wales, Scandinavia, France and the HRE.

Thanks, hope you enjoy it!

If you're a fellow Saxon lover, try playing as Eadgar the Ætheling (he's duke of Wessex) and help defend England -- after that you can bide your time and get yourself elected king. It usually takes me a couple of generations but it's definitely worth the wait. :)

Since you mentionned it in the succession thread, I already tried to play the historic turn of event with vanilla ^^.

I played as Malcolm III, married Margaret and invited Eadgar, then waited that Saxon lords rebel against their norman ruler to press Eadgar claim and install him on the throne of England. (historically all attempts of Eadgar failed pathetically :p)

Then I can continue as Eadgar king of england, but that would be a bit redundant as i already have a Godwin game in progress :). But with your mod, I might try playing as duke of wessex instead as it looks more interesting :)

Yeah, check the strange screenshots thread. I managed to get Eadgar's son elected king of England and Margaret's son inherit the crown of Scotland. :D

I tried your mod, it's great in addition to the heraldry stuff, especially having the correct (even if fake) Godwin and Wessex "coats of arms"

The only thing I was skeptical about is when I realized by 1110 the Scandinavians formed their Kalmar empire.

I might be wrong but the Kalmar Union was afaik the result of having all the 3 king titles in the hand of the same person through a clever wedding, which is already achievable in game. The monarch was king of Danemark, Norway and Sweden, but there was not an emperor, then 3 kings. Having this as an empire is not a good idea for balance purpose, and it make historically as little sense as having a british or spanish empire

Actually the Kalmar emperors are called kings/queens in the current version. Sorry I forgot to include that.

I'll also change the trigger so you need to be king of all three realms and not just any two. :)

Glad you're enjoying the mod though. Who have you been playing as? I've got plenty more fixes and additions to come!
