I would say keep him as Emperor. Maybe later when you have time make it so if he doesn't also have k_italy the title gets destroyed when he dies so we don't get a succession.

Please, I am really interested in the Eastern Germanic Languages, and would love to play as a Gothic nation.

They might not be correct, but it's hard to come by actual Gothic declension tables so I assigned <austr-> to the <ō>-class nouns, <Ruma> as well, and <sagqs> to <a>-stem nouns.
Edit: heck, I can do several more if anyone wants. Gothic is easier than Icelandic.

Egypt = Misrsland (Land of Miṣr)
Libya = Leibjōsland (Land of Lībiyyā/Leibja)
Jerusalem = Jairusalem (found in Wulfila's bible)

France = Gaulisland (assuming <Gaul> is a neuter <a>-stem)

The Northern Irish Electricity board has decided this is the best time for sporadic power cuts, so I may have to delay the release given that I can't work on it with no electricity.
Every single Germanic tribe comes from southern Sweden (i.e. Gautland or Götaland) and/or Denmark (Danmörk), so yes, there's a widely-accepted theory they come from Gotland

Just another question, how will you deal with the issue of your vassal grabbing counties and baronies that is outside of their de jure duchies or kingdoms?
High crown laws prevent that as far as I know, so that'll be what I do for the Roman Empires.

And, what would the religious situation for the Imperium Romanorum Occidentalis before the Fall of Rome and then after (with Julius Nepos) look like? Would it be possble for flavor events, doing the Coliseum, and for the East - the Hippodrome? (When you build it)
Vassal can still fabricate claims and demand it from their liege though.
I'm not sure if I can do anything about that, aside from revoke title or demand vassal mechanics that are already there.
The East is predominately Christian by this point, I'd say about 30-40% of the population were pagan, but the in terms of the nobility that number was closer to 10-20% (mostly in Greece). I'd really like to have flavour events, but they are pretty low on my priority list right now.
Perhaps you can modify the requirements you need before you can demand a duchy from your liege? That and limit the amount of titles a count can hold before incurring a negative penalty?
And the West is just a mish-mosh, or also having some dangerous outlook for the Pagans?
The west was mostly pagan in Rural areas, and mostly Christian in urban areas. The Senatorial class were significantly pagan too.
I could do that, although I don't think duchies will be a problem, given the succession system I'm using for them (open agantic elective).
I see. what would be a brief synopsis of the first release, and when do you think it'll be released? As do you still have troubles with the Northern Irish Electrical co.?
Effectively the first version will have Italy, Spain, North Africa, France, Ireland (and partially Britain), parts of Germany, and the ERE. No big mechanical changes, nor any mods integrated. Culture will be done, as will religion (although most new religions are unplayable as of now, I might fix them at some point).
I could wait until I have everything done to my satisfaction, but that would take so long that it would be 2 weeks- a month before the first release is out. I'd rather release fixes and new versions as I go.
The release was going to be this weekend, but with the new SWMH map coming out, that has been delayed until I integrate that.
As a bit of a mod question - was the Roman-thing in The Winter King mod (King of the Soissons) ever truly there? a Roman installation in Northern Gaul that could have remade the Empire after the death of Julius Nepos?
