Just checking in on how this mod is coming along. Look like it's being regularly updated which is good. How many different start dates / bookmarks are going to be provided in the final mod? As well how "strict" are these events? I know one of the complaints about RTK13, the Koei game, was that events basically meant that anything gained or lost by Liu Bei prior to year 207 is meaningless because the events system would always put you (playing as Liu Bei) in the exact same place, at the exact same time, no matter what you'd achieved in the interim.

The events are strict for AI. But if you as the player own any territory/player being affected, the story events only affect you when you serve to GAIN, not lose. So a story event should never mess you up. More events like the leadup to Chibi, the Nanman uprising, and Liu Bei's final war against Sun Quan need to be added. As for final bookmarks.. I intend to add some more bookmarks beyond the current timeline. One for the end of the three kingdoms (ie the rise of Jin), and maybe a few for the 16 kingdoms period... Though that would require ALOT of additional history which may or may not make the release. I don't mind adding more Three Kingdoms bookmarks in if people would like them. 200 for the Yuan-Cao divide... Ma Teng's invasion... Just let me know.

Timeline to 1.0.... I will give you a summary of what I have in mind. At every point I am open to suggestions. And as always, if any mapmaker desires to expand the map in any cardinal direction, I will be more than happy to add Japan, Kushan, Champa, etc. to the game.

I would love to see a Warring States Mod. I believe the Zhanguo Mod creator contacted me about using our resources and I was cool with it. But I wouldn't know how to do the whole BC era thing (negative years). And yeah, the mechanics and history are different. If anything, the Warring States period was China's feudal age, closer to the later Medieval era of Europe.
(Meaning the Warring States would fit the CK2 model perfectly).

But I will leave that to someone else. Once I finish out the Three Kingdoms era, I will probably take a back seat. I am busy these days... And I have started designing a Three Kingdoms game of my own. This will have been the precursor to something hopefully greater and more enjoyable..



P.S. Please message @rein005 and beg him to return if you want that Zhanguo mod. He was working diligently on it before it got busy. I think he just wants some fans to support him. :)

I was just about to pose this same Issue, I am playing as Wu-Gui when I first noticed it, not sure if its just for Han or not

It happens with Nomads and Koreans too, I can confirm.

Okay. Need some feedback for Monks and Mystics... I am thinking about using the societies and artifacts pretty prevalently.. Artifacts = weapons/books/jewels (Imperial Seal). Societies can be bandits and religious cults. (Yellow Turbans, Five Pecks Sect, etc.)
