The aim is to reduce micro-management in research especially at the end-game, where scientific empires must re-elect projects very often despite having little or no significance. Unfortunately I didn't find anything like this.
Basic function 1: Automatically select new research, choosing as first priority the rarest technologies and secondly the lowest cost of research.
Basic function 2: Ability to exclude individual technologies indicated by the user, especially repeatable ones.
