I finally am about to start my playthrough with ALL the DLCs (I consider it a full experience).
I am looking for 2 mod options, if I won’t be able to find something I like, it’s no problem, I’ll play unmoded.
  1. I would like to make empires scarcer (NOT non-existent – I found the mod for that; I don’t want it). It could be as simple as increasing the cost of creating an empire or maybe something more imaginative but don’t need to be. The idea is – less empires.
  1. I am considering a retinue overhaul but can’t decide which one will be most enjoyable or if I should simply go vanilla. Maybe I am missing some good ones. Can you recommend some?
  1. I’ll appreciate other recommendations that won’t heavily change the gameplay but will enhance it in a balanced way.

Have you considered increasing provincial revolt strength in game rules? You say you want to prevent empires, but maybe you actually want to prevent large independent realms (IE: massive oversized kingdoms are also undesirable)? If so, increasing provincial revolt strength means that a slight instability when levies are depleted can cause realms to fragment. Of course, you have to deal with the same problem, but that's half the fun!
