Morning all, I just wanted to create a post to highlight a great mod that added a great mid-late game objective to the game.

Infinity Stones!

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1497481986

The TL;DR was that 6 stones were spread throughout the galaxy and each one gave you a buff, and certain combinations gave you exponential buffs up until you managed (if you managed) to get all 6 then you could initiate the *SNAP*.

It was a great mod and although it is not compatible with the latest version, it did bring some fun and challenge to the game. The original mod developer burnt out with making mods and I unfortunately do not have the skills to re-create / fix it for the latest versions.

Anyway enjoy this little piece of my nostalgia.

(PS the link above takes you to a reupload version as the original mod maker hid his original mod, you can see him in the comments, they are @Thunder.)

I actually really like the core concept

Not too keen on the marvel/stellaris crossover,

Would be very interesting to see galactic features that provided such buffs, I know we already have unique systems, but something in this style would be a fantastic idea for more.

I believe there is already an artifact in the game that grants you great advantages and you can fight over. The Galatron. Granted it is extremely rare to find and I still haven't seen it in any of my games. But it's in there. Regardless more flavour is always welcome, I would be all for it, but of course after the game is fixed.

Thats the key difference, A single RNG artifact is not the same as a series of artifacts that always spawn that gives the player the objective of hunting down all artifacts to make your empire stronger / OP. It even gives reasons to go to war sooner to grab as many artifacts as possible.

As mentioned the Marvel Theme isnt important forthe concept, but makes it more fun (for me atleast).

I like the idea of things like the Galatron, where you can send an expedition to retrieve it and bring it back to your own empire.

However, I dislike, for example, the Dragon Horde in the Ether Drake system because unless I am willing to build and maintain an outpost in a far-flung star system for a potentially very long time, it is completely useless to me. In fact, I wish more things in Stellaris were the type of things you could pack up and bring back to your own worlds, even at great expense.
