Before you make me a update, let me try to find some proof that Boleslaw was infact a Grand Duke and not just a Duke.

That will be hard.

The word used in Polish (... and the similar one in Russian and so on), "książę", can mean both "duke" and "prince". The usual - but by no means universal! - translation of this title as applied to independent rulers is "grand duke" if you want to differentiate it from dukes which are vassals of the person, else just "duke".

But that's just a translation. It isn't the actual title.

I don't mind the Polish title if Boleslaw can easily create the Kingdom of Poland with his gathered prestige after 1066 (like Duke of Bohemia to King of Bohemia in CK1). Otherwise, it would be a bit problematic.

On the other hand, Heinrich IV was not the Emperor in 1066, so I am afraid that if we have Boleslaw as Duke, Heinrich should be also the Roman King, not the Roman Emperor.

Included Zaldax "An Offer You Can't Refuse" mod. Made the Duchy of Poland independent again after some discussions. Created the Grand Duchy of Kievan Rus and the title of Grand Duke of Kievan Rus.

Why did you name Kievan Rus to Grand Duchy? Sure, it is a nice addition but, it is somewhat bothersome if everyone man after the first one would forever be called Grand Duke and never King. This gives me an idea though, which I suggested before also. Make Grand Duchy of Kievan Rus into a titular kingdom, while making Kingdom of Rus into de jure. Then the grand duke could strive for kingdom of rus so he could stabilize his realm and what not. It's just an idea, since I believe Kievan Rus is a bit too powerful at the moment. Don't know if this would really work, but yeah.

Well, I think after some more research, I would prefer to call the Grand Duchy of Kievan Rus Grand Principality of Kievan Rus instead. And the title should be Grand Prince. we will have to devide the Grand Duchy anyways. The Northern part will become a Grand Principality (kingdom) of Novgorod. Further, I will try to find a way to destabilize it.

There is one thing I fear about downgrading the Emperor to King of Germany. I don't know whether he will be able to become Emperor without the other Kingdom titles (Lotharingia, Bohemia, Burgundy and Italy)..

Many Emperors wear kings before there became emperor. But there have still the same power like a emporer. And how would you make the Kingdom of Bohemia under a Kingdom of HR? Thats impossible to mod. The facto you can say Heinrich was the emperor. Otherways you must make every new emperor firstly the king and check the realations with the poe etc. Thats impossible to make in this game (Or you make a titular empire but call the ruler "Holy roman king."

There is one thing I fear about downgrading the Emperor to King of Germany. I don't know whether he will be able to become Emperor without the other Kingdom titles (Lotharingia, Bohemia, Burgundy and Italy)..

If the AI follows the Ambitions, could you perhaps devise it this way?

If the kings of Germany were historically emperors in all but name you really should make them emperors in-game imo.
I do not know if that was actually the case though, but isn't gameplay more important than history (unless you can have both of course)?

UPDATE

Uploaded a new version 3.0a which fixes the provinces Holstein, Santois and Lorraine. Further corrects kingdoms in North Eastern Europe (Novgorod, Finland, Sweden, Lithuania and Kievan Rus). Have fun over the weekend! Next step will be to include the Hanseatic League mod by chatnoir.

I used contents of a study of the consulting firm I am working for. This study analyses likes and dislikes of character types etc. Sorry, but I cannot tell you anymore about it.

Great update! By the way, another question. The titles (Grand prince, prince, etc) for Russians. Are they culture-tided? I mean, if a Polish ruler claimed, say, Novogord, would that title then be "Duchy of Novogord" ? Would be cool if this was so, but not necessary.
