My "Lost Content" subscription in the Workshop gives me a

Did you update the Workshop page and it's just hidden now ?

Decisive Battles
Makes battles decisive once again.

In other words. This mod makes the battles like they were before the 2.5.0 and later patches (assuming you disable shattered retreat through the game rules).

Tested with patch 2.8.1.1 but may work with earlier or later versions.
Could you explain what you mean by making them decisive again? And what you did to make it happen? Or what the differences are from vanilla as it is now?

@pzyber
I'd also be interested about compatibility or if a required update will come for Lost Content, after again getting bored with the current vanilla game
and missing this mod quite a lot. Any answer appreciated, even a "i don't work on this mod anymore", sniff.

PS: Having just seen that you were "last seen: Apr 27, 2018", i suspect to not get any response, but at least i tried.
Thanks either way for the good times with your mod pack.

I've updated the mods description, please let me know if it needs to be made even more clear.

Are there any plans to update your mods for the latest patch? And is the the Lost Content mod compatible with HIP?
It took a while but they are finally updated and will continue to be so. I don't think Lost Content will be compatible with HIP. I know I made some bridge mods to make some mods compatible but can't find them atm, I will look into that and let you know before the weekend.

Oh.....missed that.
Yeah someone thought the purpose of the mod was to enable dlc content for free and banned the mod. Bad description by me and a missunderstanding from PDX. I never had the energy to contact them and get it unbanned since Steam Support couldn't do anything.

Happy day !

Thanks for the reponses above.
Regarding the Steam issue, i'd guess contacting Castellon via PM/"Start a Conversation" option would make sense, as he wrote
the CK2 rules for user made mods thread https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/rules-for-user-made-mods-edits.779854/
If you find the energy and think that it would make sense.

PS : I recall that someone uploaded a variant of the Lost Content mod on the Workshop after yours had gone, but that as well vanished
some time later.

Everything is fine now again and I will continue to update them if required

Lost Content is now available again on Steam!

Well...there is no link in the opening post and i can't find it in the Workshop via the search.
Is it still set to "hidden" ?

PS: Okay, nevermind, seems to be found now by the search on the Workshop.

Just for others, as long as it's not in the OP again.

Fixed the link now. Lost Content has also been updated to fix an issue with spamming lunatic events etc.

Ah. I suppose basically updating the health_events.txt file to the official one was required.
Thanks

I compared the original and your health file with Winmerge and wondered why the closing bracket in (vanilla) line 207 is missing.
Oversight or intended ?

Thanks for the update pzyber! I consider Lost Content a must-have mod given the scarcity of events in CK2 but unfortunately, the lack of compatibility with HIP prevents me from using it.

Is there really no chance for an HIP-compatible version?

I might try a hand at getting Lost Content compatible with HIP but I'll need some help and advice since I don't have a lot of experience with event modding in CK2. Anyone interested?
What would be needed to be done is to have a mod that loads last and overrides the files that are in conflict between HIP and Lost Content.
The HIP files would need to get the same modifications by Lost Content as the original game files have gotten.
I thought about making this a few times since I have all the documentation but besides having to ask for permission from HIP the hassle is that if either the game, HIP or Lost Content are updated such a bridge mod would have to be updated as well. So it would be a hassle to maintain.

The issue i mentioned on 9th august with Lost Content is still around.

                }
                set_character_flag = new_leper_character
                random_courtier_or_vassal = {
                    limit = {
                        has_minor_title = title_court_physician
                    }
                    character_event = { id = RIP.11031 days = 1 }
                }

            hidden_tooltip = {

                    100 = {

                    }
                }
            }
    }
}
Thank you for reporting this, the mod has been reupploaded with this issue fixed.

I thought about making this a few times since I have all the documentation but besides having to ask for permission from HIP the hassle is that if either the game, HIP or Lost Content are updated such a bridge mod would have to be updated as well. So it would be a hassle to maintain.

I don't think you need to ask for permission from HIP for making a compatibility patch between your mod and HIP.

Regarding the hassle associated with possible future updates, I think that with the release of CKIII, CK2 will likely not be updated again (and it won't get any more DLC, that's certain). And we can expect that the CK2 mod scene will gradually stabilize too with modders moving to CKIII, which means that CK2 mods will not be updated as often as they used to be (the SWMH author from HIP has already said he wouldn't work on HIP for CK2 anymore and that he would move to CKIII modding).

So, actually, I think the time is right to make a couple of final compatibility patches, so we can enjoy sort of a stable CK2: Definitive Edition with all the best mods playable together!

That's true, for mods that are no longer being updated it will be a one time job.
We just need someone that makes the effort making all these mods compatible with each other. So if you need any information just let me know ;)
Or I might look into it eventually, making LC comaptible with other mods that is, as long as there is enought interest.
