Hmm, depends on how many more issues I've had with the map, being unable to map mod much the last week due to the patch issue pushed stuff back quite a bit, really depends on how fast Ican code provinces and landed titles and omega can code history titles

Also if I'm awake still in a bit I'll try and write up a dev diary on new african religions

Are you going to expand the map so much that you might include China at some point or is that too much of a Job?

Have you considered adding some sort of county viceroys like the Comes for a restored rome?

I've seen this come up a lot. Why would people even want this? It would be extreme micromanaging since with a large realm even duchy viceroys become a chore.

Are you going to expand the map so much that you might include China
at some point or is that too much of a Job?
The main way I would have done that is if Tianxia had agreed to my merger a while back before I started modding the map signifcantly.

China would take an obscene ammount of work, more importantly I think Pdox will make a dlc and I will use their map for china and merge it with what I have done in the current map if they put stuff in tibet and qinghai (which I am starting to doubt they will ever add tibet)

After the current map stuff I'll think about what I want to do next.

What do you mean? Couldn't you disable the granting of landed titles for vassals so they can only get and grant viceroy titles?
Not really, most of the diplomatic functions are hardcoded. The problem is that AI viceroy titles under vassals still go back to you, so you'd be swamped with counties.

Is that system hard enough for the AI to break to it, but not too punishing such that a good player can keep the Abbasids together?
I've been considering disabling it for the player. It uses event modifiers to make the caliph's vassals hate him and to reduce the amount of troops he can raise.

There's a similar modifier for 867 Francia and Byzantium under Michael VIII (He was a shit emperor and I'm adding a Rum horde event, so it makes sense there).

i feel like giving the ai big disadvantages is a bit much. with the large amount of religious diversity you guys added, ive never seen the abbasids make it long anyway
