Hm...converting to EU4 causes a crash; without the mod it exports just fine. No error message or anything, just stops doing anything.
I'll test it out in a bit. Tell me more.Hm...converting to EU4 causes a crash; without the mod it exports just fine. No error message or anything, just stops doing anything.
There's most likely a conflict with another mod which is overwriting the trait.I am in my first playthrough with your mod, and i think you did a great job!
I just wanted to report a bug which is annoying THE HELL out of me: Every Month i get the event "You are the current ruler of the glourious byzantine empire. may your reign be a long and prosperous one!" when i click the button to dismiss the event i dont get a trait (it tells me XXX gets the trait "")
This constant event started to appear after i switched to elective monarchy i think.
Not really much more to tell; I tested every start date, with and without mending the schism, with and without the Imperial religion. It simply stops doing anything. It says that the software doesn't respond anymore and then I close it. After waiting an appropriate amount of time of course (initially 15 minutes).I'll test it out in a bit. Tell me more.
I tried exporting a game and it worked without any problems. Delete the mod and download it again, there may be old files still present. Steam doesn't remove old files I no longer use, neither does overwriting the files manually, so you should try a fresh install. Always do a fresh install when I update the mod.Not really much more to tell; I tested every start date, with and without mending the schism, with and without the Imperial religion. Oh, and no other mods, of course. And every DLC available, excluding Sunset Invasion.
You can still change your age even though I edited the trait ages. The skill points still make your age change. Thanks for the quick reply, indeed it was the "Age Customizer" mod that caused the issue.
Hm...interestingly enough, that worked. Thanks a lot.I tried exporting a game and it worked without any problems. Delete the mod and download it again, there may be old files still present. Not outside of console commands or one of the vanilla conversion decisions.I switched to Hellenic, and I really like the events to do so, so far. But I was wondering if there was a way to switch back to Imperial if I so wished?
Roman and Greek law was strict when it came to marriage. You had one legal wife and that was it. Concubines had no legal standing, neither did bastardsNo concubines or polygamy for Hellenics?Sad....
Not according to the Macedonians. The Macedonian and later Diadochi kings all had multiple wives or concubines. It's also been implied that polygamy is more a monarchical thing as more marriages for the king means more alliances. If you can restore the Macedonian empire and you are not in a republic,I can't understand why you can't go the polygamy route.Roman and Greek law was strict when it came to marriage. I've never studied the Macedonians, but polygamy wouldn't make sense for Romans or other Greeks, hence why Hellenic doesn't feature it.Not according to the Macedonians. The Macedonian and later Diadochi kings all had multiple wives or concubines. It's also been implied that polygamy is more a monarchical thing as more marriages for the king means more alliances. If you can restore the Macedonian empire and you are not in a republic,I can't understand why you can't go the polygamy route.
The flavour events are a bit dry at the moment but more are planned for the next update. At present they cover stuff like funding local temples or productions of the Iliad/Odyssey, auguries, the deification of your parents (Only triggers if you are an emperor and they had at least skill which was 12 or more), and invitations to join various cults (Sol Invictus, Mithras and so on. All they do currently is give you a "Cultist" trait which adds piety, but I'll be giving them unique events once a book I bought about mystery cults arrives). There's also a sacrifice event which can net you piety and prestige in return for gold. As for unique mechanics, I wasn't able to localise the names of the gods based on culture (So you'll get Jupiter or whatever even if you are Greek) but I'll be doing this as soon as Paradox adds these mechanics. The Hellenic faith starts off without a religious head but emperors can appoint one, which gives you an event that allows you to give the title (Archereius [Grand Priest] of [Capital]) to either yourself or a vassal. You still can't play as priests, but you can hold the religious head title, women can hold temples, and priests can both marry and inherit. I'll be adding support for concubines in the next update, but you'll only be able to have one at a time (As was the custom in Rome and Greece). The religious head can call great holy wars, but only after the vanilla conditions have been met. Hellenic rulers don't have access to the regular pagan county conquest or subjugation CBs, but they can use the regular holy war CB from the offset.curious what sort of flavor events and mechanics do the hellenic pagans have in your mod?
