what happened to AGOT? It's always been the poster-boy mod of sorts, getting news articles and all, but I find it odd they're not on the list for the second time now.

Ehh, unless you are using a weird abbreviation it is right there as the most popular mod.

Here is some statistics from december from people who played CK2 and had opted in to send statistics.

81,5% - No mods
8,5% - CK2+
7,1% - Game of Thrones
2,9% - other mods

I wonder how many use V.I.E.T? I find that's a great mod. The only one that captures the feeling of Byzantine palace coups accurately actually. it's the only mod I've played where the Doukas don't end up ruling unopposed for 200 years.

Magnate lords had 1366 downloads for that month, are people downloading my mod and not playing it? downloading it and using it as a modding aid? are they refusing to send data to paradox survey?or are you not displaying all of the results as it is a heavily economic focused mod, and as you dont wish ck to have more economic play (but people do) hiding the resulsts so people cannot use that to back up there arguments for more economic mechanics/dlc etc

I have downloaded it to see how it works and possibly help with making it compatible with SWMH... but havent't played, at least not in march

given that i've sunk more than 800 hours into vanilla and still aren't done (haven't even had a game go much more than ~130 years) i'm not really missing anything substantial in terms of getting entertainment worth of my money i've thrown at the game

I like the mods but the base game is fun and there are hardly any CTD's. The Mods will only get better and more stable.

For me CK2+ get SUPER SLOW very quickly. It also starts taking about 2 minutes to do an auto-save after my 3rd auto-save, so thats annoying as hell. I also get CTD's with it that I never get with the base game. Too bad cause CK2+ is pretty good for the most part, I just refuse to play it for the reasons stated. I like to be able to PLAY my game, not watch it try and make an auto-save and fail.

Plus quite frankly the base game is totally playble. Except for Sunset, won't buy Sunset, lol.

Downloaded it.. Play it exclusively.. and always eagerly await the newest update. ML is the tits.
I do not, however, allow the reports to Paradox.

VIET's attempt to dominate the world of CKII modding will come. One day. (Though VIET is the only mod to my knowledge that attempts to mimic Byzantine dynasty changes, even if in a broad and mildly inaccurate way.)

Still I do know that a decent chunk of VIET users are also PB users, so... let's say if 10% of PB users are also VIET users, that means 0.07% of players play with VIET.

(Speaking of hwich I wonder what are the stats for SWMH)

Never played a CK2 mod, but I play with all DLC content on (yes, including Sunset Invasion, not historical but it helps add Holy War CB to the west and north of the map, giving me something to do there ).

I still play the base game, mainly due to real life, since I can't finish a game fast enough before the next version is released that improves the base game. v1.92 plays different than 1.8, which is different from 1.6, 1.6 from 1.5, etc...

I'm not missing anything, I enjoy the base game for what it is, I don't need mods.

I think there are two reasons.
1. Not all of CK2 users reported which mods they played.
2. Some users downloaded mods but never played them. I belong to this category. I have downloaded several mods simply because I wanted to know how modders code their works.

Don't forget that there will be a lot of users that don't even go to the forums at all.

With steam workshop added, we'll probably see a lot more mod users.
