I had some ideas after playing the alpha release before the last updates. Maybe some features from Rome Plus could be adopted in Roman government. The mod has an interesting feature of Roman adoption and successor apointment, among other things. I think a combination of tanistry and the RP's feature of successor apointment could also be used to mimick the succession style of the Roman empire. I think it is especially close to Nerva-Antonine succession. By modding tanistry to be ok for the government type, it is possible. Maybe these features could also be used for the minor titles within the Roman Republic as well. Heir designation may be an interesting option as well, but the feature from RP can replace it, I think, and I don't know if heir designation can be modded for different variables other than religion.

I think the religions from When the World Stopped Making Sense may serve as a model for some of the religions that are still to be developped. Personally, I think they did a great job. However, you can take different paths from the ones they chose. Personally, I also feel like Pluto/Hades may not be a good option for replacing Satan in religion-related events. He was a fearsome god, but not a tricky or evil deity concerned about toying with mortal lives. Maybe "the Fates", "the Furies" or a generic "evil spirits" would be better, in my opinion. It's hard to adapt non-dualistic religions to events based on the mindset of Christianity, but I think these options may sound more natural.

First of all, I am really amazed by how good this mod looks and feels. I love antiquity, thank a lot.
But I got this bug going on, where blank events appear that cannot be dismissed
I downloaded the version from modb which is 0.1 Alpha i think, and Im running it with 2.7.0.2 as specified
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
Maybe the mediafire link from Modb is updated? Should I try another version? Heeelp, please, i really love this mod

Hey there, thanks for the feedback and suggestions Lilium, Yeah I will have to take a look at the religions there, although right now I am curious about the new features coming out in Holy Fury concerning unreformed pagans etc, not too certain how I will integrate that... but I'm brainstorming. Yes, the whole Pluto/Hades is just a temporary fix etc, right now a large portions of the religions are simply bare-bones etc, lacking proper flavour and events as well as partial localization etc.
I will take a look at the Rome Plus mod...I've never heard of it actually but it sounds like they have some kind of system worked out...I am actually working on the First dozen or so Consuls at the moment and trying to figure out how to make a basic republican government work for the Romans.

Thanks DHenry, I appreciate it, I am really trying to keep the basic scope and scale of Vanilla and simply convert it appropriately to vanilla with some enhancements and unique features etc. The old release won't function with current CKII versions as I haven't uploaded my current mod build to the public. It seems stable right now in my playtests but I'm actively trying to flesh out a few bookmarks and gameplay basics so it feels more 'complete'. Hope that helps, I do hope to release a public build shortly. ;)

Oh good. Good luck, it´s a really good mod. I can´t wait to play in the later bookmarks, Ceasar, Cleopatra, etc. Also, to play as the first Christians sounds interesting..
I think I made the bug go away for now, by using 2.7.2
I haven´t got the empty event since

Interesting mod! Could you post some screenshots as to how it looks as of now?
Sure will do, although I will add the UI is mostly untouched, and I"m waiting on my "flavour overhaul" of it for the upcoming UI character updates first in the Paradox patch/dlc. Some areas of the mod are also very much untouched (portions of India, Northern Europe, and Tibet etc)

hey there! I really, really love this mod! But I haven't heard of, or seen any updates in years now. And granted, while IR is out now, I like CK:II's character and family tree stuff better, and I'd really love to see a new update to this mod.

Salve Friends! just a quick update here: I'm still working on the mod and it has changed completely in the last year in a way that is really positive so the graphics systems, map, UI, and alot more has been completely overhauled since my earlier release about a year ago. That being said, a huge amount of unreleased work has gone on but I seem to encounter major bugs at times which prevent me from advancing, or wanting to present my work to everyone, at the moment I've encountered a pathfinding issue due to modifying the map, it really messes up the gameplay in certain areas and I'm working hard to overcome it.

I'll update here soon, mostly likely with information on a new Title and Screenshots of some of the larger overhauls since the last Alpha. Thanks for your support and hope to show off some work soon and get a playable build out there !
