Just a few hints of what we're doing right now and what's coming next.

Now that Morgenröte is compatible with 1.4, we will first try to finish the Dubois update accordingly. This will happen with two patches: a smaller one that will be ready by Friday evening (CET) at the earliest, and a larger one until the end of the month.

The smaller patch will contain some fixes as well as a small content extension that I will present tomorrow. The larger patch will add the previously missing content: paleontology missions, special fossils, nature reserves, and the possibility of animal habitats disappearing (and being secured in nature reserves) with industrialization. Depending on the time, anthropology could also be included, but that is not yet certain.

After the second Dawn update we will try to design a compatible version for 1.5. Since Paradox will have an update to 1.5 from mid-September anyway, we would then work on the compatibility patch. We plan to upload our own version to Steam for this.

Dubois: Climbing Objectives

Dubois Mod Logo.png

Welcome back to the penultimate Dawn Morgenröte Diarium for Dubois! As you may notice, Dubois is a still-unfinished project that continues to grow. As announced, there will be a smaller update today and a larger update later in order to finish this project for now and focus on other things. However, this does not mean that there will no longer be any extensions to natural history content. Geology is definitely one of the topics we will tackle one day, but probably not this year.

But to give a little foretaste of this topic, today I want to introduce a feature that is only built in as a basic, but should already give a little foretaste: mountaineering. After the conquest of Mont Blanc at the end of the 18th century, a wave of mountaineering and fascination for the mountains began, which found expression in romanticism and hiking, which became a popular sport. The original logo of Morgenröte, which shows Caspar David Friedrich climbing the Giant Mountains, illustrates the connection with the Faustian longing to cross borders and the sense of the spiritual.

Climbing Choose Mountain.png

The fact that Mount Everest was treated as the “Third Pole” after the discovery of the North and South Poles shows that storming peaks was also a question of national prestige. This is where we start. The first ascent of peaks is possible in all states that have a state trait with mountain ranges. A general can equip a team to storm the summit and also enlist the help of a scientist. In the future, geologists should also be able to work here.

How long the climb takes and how difficult it is depends on the height of the mountains. There are four categories: small mountains (e.g. Appalachians), normal mountains (e.g. Alps), high mountains (e.g. Andes) and the roof of the world (Himalayas). You can only send a general who has a skill that qualifies him for promotion: these include surveyor, mountain commander, explorer and mountaineer (new). A general who successfully climbs a peak gains the Mountaineer trait or one of the other listed traits (except Surveyor) if he does not already have it.

Climbing Easy.png

Success depends on researched military technologies, the age and health of the leader, and their characteristics. Avalanches and steep slopes can pose a major risk that threatens the entire endeavor. In addition, there is the possibility that an exceptionally good mountaineering general creates a mountain infantry that remains as a modifier even after his death.

Another innovation to round off the "Dawn experience" is Objectives. When you start a new game, there is now a separate bookmark called “Thriving Culture”. In total it is equipped with 10 different subgoals. In the overview we have selected four different countries (Austria, Belgium, Sardinia-Piedmont, Switzerland) that symbolize the spirit of Morgenröte well, but there are certainly more to mention.

Climbing Summit.png

That would be the end of this diary! The next update will come in the next few hours. The last Dev Diary on Dubois is about nature parks, the extinction of exotic animals and their rescue and breeding.

New version 1.8.4 "Coaz"

New update 1.8.4 "Coaz" is ready, bringing mountaineering and objectives to Morgenröte and also fixing some issues.

General:
- Updated to Patch 1.4.2

Geology:
- Added a new type of Scientific Expedition: Mountain Expedition.
- States with a mountain range state trait can be conquered by a general which has at least one of these traits: Mountain commander, Explorer, Surveyor or Mountaineer (new trait). A nation must own the state.
- Naturalists and Paleontologists can join the team and will find some extra specimen/fossils.
- The Succes of an Expedition depends on the traits of the expedition leader, but also technologies and the altitude of the mountain: higher mountains need more climbing.
- Experienced mountain generals will create Mountain Infantry (modifier), giving a small advantage to nations fighting in mountains.

Paleontology:
- Paleontological Licenses are now available for all recognized countries.

Botany:
- Botanical Licenses are now available for all recognized countries.

Astronomy:
- Changed icon for observatory building.

Objectives:
- Added Objective "Thriving Culture".
- Added 10 Subgoals for "Thriving Culture".
- Added 10 Journal Entries for "Thriving Culture".
- Added 4 recommended countries for "Thriving Culture".

- Added a mission to build a first railway line (is used by the AI as well)

New Characters:
- Alfred Brehm (random North German Naturalist)
- Johann Wilhelm Coaz (random Swiss Naturalist)
- John Muir (random American Naturalist)

- Fixed a bug which erased animal habitat modifiers when colonizing.
- Fixed localization bug in academics.2212.
- Fixed a bug which prevented Naturalists and Paleontologists memorizing their Pacific Expedition.
- Fixed the mesh error overfloating the error log.
- Fixed a naturalist error overfloating the error log.
- Fixed scipted button issue creating unnecessary log errors.

Dubois: The West Andean Manatee returns!

Dubois Mod Logo.png

Welcome to another Dev Diary! This time it is about the big features of 1.8.5 Brehm.

First off, there are some small additions too, Brehm brings 50 new historical characters for example as well as some QOL features like moving nearly all decisions to journal entries, lots of Bug fixes (there should no longer be ghosts as scientists and balloonists).

20230929090744_1.jpg

No more Ghosts when the game kills of a Scientist

But the biggest work was setting up a feature that I moved over from Cabinet of Wonders and made it accessible for all nations.

You will now be able to set up Nature Reserves in States that have a Habitat! For this you need to research the new Genetics technology though, a level 4 technology.

20230929102312_1.jpg
20230929102318_1.jpg

You can either have a Royal Hunting Reserve giving you prestige or a National Park that will give you Society Research Speed.

But why should you build a Nature Reserve at all? Because your habitats might get destroyed otherwise! If your State has an urbanization of over 20 or no more arable land, your habitat will become endangered and then be destroyed in the next 10 years. The only (smart) way to prevent that is to establish a Nature Reserve.

But a Nature Reserve has another great advantage: It allows you to breed animals that you collected in your Zoo. That means you can create new habitats to prevent an animal from extinction!
20230927142528_1.jpg

The new Journal Entry

But you might wonder if you can breed an Elephant in Siberia with that mechanic. Obviously, Elephants do not live in Siberia and can’t be bread there, as breeding is limited to a continent. Some silly things can happen though, like the West Andean Manatee, that lives in lakes in the Andes. This might be changed in the future or maybe we just leave it in as a fun Easter Egg.

Breeding isn’t too easy though. It will take years as you start with 20 animals and must get to 4000 or above (which again is silly for Elephants but just take it as a representation). The process of breeding should take about 25 years which means you will be able to breed one or two animals per game. If you want to get faster progress, you need a Naturalist or even better a Naturalist that is either experienced or famous. A Grand Zoo will help your breeding progress as well which should bring the needed time down to about 20 years.

20230927143133_1.jpg

Congratulations to your new Lynx Habitat!

But wait! Piedmont is the only place with Ibexes, and they really don’t want to sell them to you! Well, no problem just do the right thing and… no, actually just send your Naturalist to smuggle some of them out of there!

This is right, you can now smuggle animals out of countries that do not want to sell them to you. But smuggling is a risky endeavor, so just do it if you need to because otherwise you might get angry nations…

Some nations start with a small advantage. Both the owner of the last Bison and the last Ibex habitat can get events that allow them to build a Nature Reserve in the 1860s already as they did in our timeline. Even the USA will get an additional Nature Reserve if they own California that does not have any habitats at all. But the well-known Yosemite National Park can be established anyways!

20230929100641_1.jpg

20230929100629_1.jpg

20230929100611_1.jpg

Historical Nature Reserves are fancy!
Which brings us to the last feature. Look at poor Belgium for example: This small but extremely developed country does not have any habitats at all… The only thing they can do is surveying their land for a fitting place for a Nature Reserve, setting it up and then breed some animals there!

20230929101457_1.jpg

This is not Belgium, but it shows that you get more options with special State Traits :)

Yes, it is possible for Nations without a habitat to still build a Nature Reserve and use it to create a new habitat. This mechanic is limited to countries without habitats though and it is only possible to build one single Nature Reserve.

So, get ready to save all the exotic animals in your own Nature Reserve soon™!

Morgenröte 1.5.png

Big News, Morgenröte-Fans!
Morgenröte is now availabe for the 1.5 Beta, including all the features from the current 1.8.5 version "Brehm". Some features like the PMs from Curtiss had to be deactivated for a moment; the same goes for pilots from battlefields. But don't be afraid! The rest of Morgenröte has arrived and is ready to conquer the fields of 1.5 and enrich it with the glory of its flavor.

Please keep in mind that 1.5 is an unstable build and as such, also Morgenröte features have still to be balanced and may be rough. Consider this version as a beta, too - with some new features like changes to archaeological expeditions and a massive change to the Archaoelogical Museum. Please start a new game when playing with the 1.5 version of Morgenröte.

This Morgenröte version will only be available on Steam for the moment, but there is also a Github version. Please contact us on Discord if you are interested in the latter!

We're preparing the next update 1.8.6 "Andersson" hopefully for the next weekend. This update will need a fresh started game because of some changes in variables, buildings and PMs. So be warned if you want to finish your game first. :)

Diarium XXIX

Anthropology and Scientific Congresses

Dubois Mod Logo.png

Welcome to the last Diarium for Dubois about the last update of Morgenröte before patch 1.5 - hopefully the Diarium XXX will already be about the new features for the 1.5 version of Victoria. ;)

In the upcoming update 1.8.6 Andersson there are three aspects that are particularly emphasized: some changes in archeology, scientific congresses and anthropology as a new branch of science.

Let's start with anthropology! By anthropology we mean what was first understood by anthropology in the 19th century: namely the prehistoric history of humans. In the 19th century, interest in “cavemen” increased. In principle, the question was how old humanity really was, where it came from, how it came about. While it had previously been assumed that the thousands of years old bones came from “antediluvian people,” awareness increased that humanity was significantly older than assumed. Under the influence of the theory of evolution, the question of the place of humans in the animal kingdom, as well as the place where modern humans came into being, came to the fore.

Anthropology Modern Archaeology.png

In short: At that time, anthropology was primarily paleoanthropology and prehistoric archaeology. What is understood today as “cultural anthropology” will later be the field of ethnologists in Morgenröte. Anthropologists, on the other hand, primarily look for human fossils and prehistoric artifacts (subsumed under local artifacts). Anthropologists are the sixth type that can emerge from academic training, alongside engineers, astronomers, naturalists, paleontologists and archaeologists. They only appeared late - namely with the invention of modern archaeology. The nation that researches modern archeology first gets an anthropologist for free.

Anthropologists can explore prehistoric caves. Prehistoric caves are distributed in small numbers per continent at the start of the game. Their discovery requires an anthropologist. However, historic prehistoric sites also exist. These include famous paleoanthropological sites such as those in southwest France, the Neander Valley, Taung and Zhoukoudian. These places appear after a historical date. This is also intended to ensure that international anthropology does not lag too far behind.

Anthropology Cave discovered.png

Anthropologists can be sent into these caves to find artifacts and bones. Human fossils are divided into two types: general bones and special bones. The latter fossils are the interesting ones. In total there are five human and early human species for which there are bones. Cro-Magnon man, Homo Erectus and Australopithecus are examples. If an anthropologist finds three bones of a certain type, he or she can classify that species. The classification brings anthropological prestige. This would be even higher if a researcher were to classify a previously unknown human species for the first time in the world. Special bones and general bones also add a bit of anthropological prestige.

Sometimes an anthropologist cannot classify bones directly. Paleontologists and archaeologists also sometimes find unknown fossils. An anthropologist may be tasked with identifying a bone to assign it to a species. How quickly he does it depends on his experience.

Anthropology Window.png

There are also historical events, such as Peking Man or Piltdown Man (whose fraud can also be exposed under certain conditions). Since this nation usually carries out its first classification with the discovery of a historical fossil, in this case the first classification is fixed with a specific date. However, there is a game rule that can be changed so that no historical fossils appear. This may be beneficial for the human player, but it is likely to result in international anthropology's development being somewhat behind historical levels.

Let's move on to the next topic: scientific conferences. What is known so far are the astronomical congresses at which the question of whether Ceres is a planet or whether the universe only consists of the Milky Way or several galaxies is clarified. These congresses have been significantly expanded! Three new Archaeological Congresses and three new Natural History Congresses have been added. Questions about the oldest civilization, the historicity of Troy, the location of humans in the animal kingdom and the extinction of the dinosaurs are clarified.

Scientific Congress Babylon1.png

In many cases, scientific congresses build on one another; The origin of humanity will only be clarified once the congress on the place of humans in the animal kingdom has already been held. Sometimes only the overall decision of a congress gives a bonus; In many cases, however, the vote of one's own nation already has an impact. So, when asked about the oldest civilization, a vote for Mesopotamia can have a bonus on the annual excavation of Mesopotamian artifacts. The final decisions do not always have to be historic - there are usually two or three possible outcomes of the Congress, which always depend on the voting behavior of the nations. For example, if hardly any human fossils have been found in Africa to date, the anthropologists involved will assume that humans originated in Asia - or even in Europe if only Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals were found.

In the Scientific Society there is an overview of twelve valid theorems in the scientific world that can be changed by a specific congress. Towards the end of the game, these theorems will look different than they did at the beginning of the game - and possibly very different than they do today! At the end, compare what the worldview of your scientific society looks like.

One final point: archaeology. Since presenting the roadmap, I have made it clear that there are still some things to do there. In this update a few first steps have been taken. For example, all modifiers for exhibitions will be abolished. Instead, your exhibitions will now be displayed as Production Methods in the museum. In addition, your exhibitions will now be rearranged automatically, you no longer have to do this manually.

There is a newcomer to the exhibitions: namely for local artifacts. These artifacts are worth less than others and there are only two exhibition types instead of the usual four, which also give less prestige. Local artifacts can be found during Local Excavations. This is an opportunity for smaller landlocked nations to do at least some archaeology and build a museum with regional art treasures. Anthropologists can also find local artifacts.

Local Excavation.png

Expeditions have been slightly improved. The “quick expeditions” have been removed, instead you can choose a mysterious guide. This increases the chance that expedition events will trigger special events, such as narrative event series and major artifacts. In addition, when preparing for expeditions, events should no longer come in a cascade like before, but one after the other.

In addition, the next update will finally fully integrate Dementive's "More Flavor Events" (MFE) mod. This means that many new events from the economic and social sectors will be added, which will loosen up the game again. Thank you again for this at this point! :)

In addition, some events from Lord R's Cabinet of Wonders (CoW) will also make their appearance. These include Swiss cultural events and extraordinary sporting and highly serious scientific activities at Niagara Falls. I also added a few old cultural events for Italy, such as the Canto degli Italiani and Italian writers.

Mameli.png

The next update should be released this weekend. Dubois will finally have the shape that Lord R and I imagined. After that, some hotfixes might have to be done, but in principle we would then be satisfied with the big topic of natural history. After 1.8.6 Andersson, we will focus more on adapting to 1.5 and improve some existing mechanics before we move on to the next Morgenröte project.

New version 1.8.6 "Andersson"

New Update 1.8.6 "Andersson" has been uploaded! This Update will bring (Paleo-)Anthropology and Scientific Conferences as main features to Morgenröte. It also adds 36 historical characters and many QoL changes to Archaeology. Last but not least, it integrates the More Flavor Events (MFE) Mod by Dementive completely!

Have a look at the changelog, it's huge. :)

General:
- You can now promote a specific Academic.
- Universities with Mathematical-Technical Focus are available with Atmospheric Engine.
- Promoting an Astronomer needs Modern Astronomy.
- Switzerland now uses a specific style of army uniforms that are inspired by the uniforms during the Sonderbundskrieg
- Normal characters now get the scientific traits too to reflect that politicians and officers can have an academic education as well.
- Integrated "More Flavor Events". Huge thanks to Dementive!
- Integrated the "Modding Mod". Huge thanks to Dementive!
- various new traits
- All Scientists except for the Engineer now have an overview event with their achievements.
- Added new Achievements: The Sensational Six (have six scientists at the same time)
- The Triggers for the Zoo, Museum and Observatory are now better and even tell you, how many Artifacts/Zoo Animals you have.

Archaeology:
- Exhibitions are now production methods in the Archaeological Museum.
- Exhibitions no longer have to be arranged; the upgrade from one exhibition size to the next takes place automatically when:
-- an archaeologist returns from an expedition
-- yearly excavation artifacts arrive
-- a major artifact is found
-- a great discovery is made.
- Options removed in the museum to arrange exhibitions or host an archaeological congress. All exhibition modifiers deleted. All exhibition events deleted. Archaeological Congress deleted.
- Removed Workforce from Archaeological Museum.
- No more "cascade effect" for events when preparing or visiting cities on archaeological expeditions. Events now only take place one after the other.
- Removed fast Archaeological Expeditions.
- Added instead the option to hire a "mysterious guide" who knows special places. This makes special events such as the pyramid puzzle, the sarcophagus of the Unknown Pharaoh and other narrative events much more likely. The probability of finding a "special clue" is also significantly increased.
- Added an event for the Museum Inauguration, which gives 5 academic progress.
- Added Scientific Conferences:
-- The Exodus and the Historicity of the Bible
-- The Rise of Civilization and the Role of Panbabylonism
-- The Discovery of Troy and its Implications
- Added Local Excavations for Countries without access to major excavation sites. This is less prestigious than the normal expeditions/excavations.
- The Archaeologist now has an overview screen where you can see all their discoveries

Anthropology:
- Added Anthropologist as a new Academic.
- Anthropologists are available after researching Modern Archaeology. The first nation which gets Modern Archaeology gets a free Anthropologist.
- Caves may spawn, some historical, some random, as a source of human fossils. Human fossils can be found by an Anthropologist when doing cave explorations.
- Archaeologists and Paleontologists may find unknown human fossils. Anthropologists may identify them.
- Five (pre)human species: Cro-Magnon, Neanderthal, Homo Erectus, Australopithecus, Paranthropus.
- Finding three human fossils of one type will help to classify a human species. This gives anthropological prestige.
- Countries without Modern Technology and without anthropologists may invite foreign countries (Diplomatic Action: Anthropological Invitation) to send an anthropologist. Both countries will get a reward.
- Anthropological prestige is higher when a human species is classified for the first time.
. Historical Events for historical fossils like Peking Man, Taung child and others.
- Historical EVents for Altamira Cave, Piltdown Man and a possible exposure of the Piltdown Man Fraud.
- Added Scientific Conferences: Origin of Modern Humans.
- Anthropologist wit overview screen where you can see all their discoveries.

Paleontology:
- The destination of a Paleontologic Expedition will now be shown correctly.
- The Paleontologist now has an overview screen where you can see all their discoveries.
- Added Scientific Conference: Extinction of the Dinosaurs.

Astronomy:
- Removed Workforce from Observatory.
- Added an event for the Observatory Inauguration, which gives 5 academic progress.
- Added an event for the first nation to research Electromagnetism that gives you an astronomer if you don't have one yet and gives him the chemist trait.

Natural History:
- Added an Event about the Evolution of the Peppered Moth.
- Added Scientific Conference: Man's Place in Nature.

Zoology:
- The event for the Zoo Inauguration gives 5 academic progress instead of a modifier.
- Relations must be at least cordial when buying an exotic animal.

Engineering:
- Engineers now give a modifier that gives you a tech spread bonus depending on your technological advancement.

Cultural Events:
- Integrated the Barrel Expedition at the Niagaras from "Cabinet of Wonders"

Looks great! Have you thought at all of doing a module on the NW Passage expeditions, Arctic and Antarctic exploration? I think it would be pretty neat to launch HMS Terror and Erebus in the direction of the Northwest Passage.

NW Passage will definitely something which will be integrated at some point, in fact, it is one of my oldest ideas back in 2022, but many different things occurred which prevented me to implement it. Especially some "disaster" events in the tradition of the Franklin Expedition. There is already a new type of Arctic Expedition in the late game: Polar Expeditions with a Zeppelin.

There is also the possibility to go to Antarctica when doing a Pacific Expedition. I don't know if I expand on this one, though, because there are already vanilla expeditions. However, the true thing which prevents me is the non-existence of Antarctica at all on the map ... would have been better for immersion.

Vikelas: The Olympic Games

Vikelas Mod Logo.png

With a number like XXX, perhaps you should not only talk about content that will soon be available, but also review it again. In the summer I presented the second road map for Morgenröte. So let’s take another look!

“Dubois” has become Morgenröte’s biggest project to date. It turned out to be even more complex and extensive than Lord R (Nirual) and I imagined. We have covered no less than the 19th century aspects of natural history (with the exception of geology). Announced in the road map were Pacific expeditions, events on Easter Island and zoology. Dubois recently added not only paleontology and anthropology, but also the establishment of nature reserves, the assembly of dinosaur skeletons, the search for specific human fossils, botanical expeditions, scientific conferences, scientific society commissions, and much, much more.

But what “Dubois” has done above all is to bring together the previously somewhat scattered scientific aspects into an organic whole. There are now six different academics who can be supported and who are helpful with their specific skills. Countries can introduce research priorities and different universities. The icing on the cake is a brand new window that fuses all of these innovations and old features - especially archeology - together and provides an excellent overview of what "Dawn" offers and what "Dawn" IS.

Academie Royale.png

Speaking about archaeology: as announced, this has already been reworked to a considerable extent. Archaeologists are now also characters who exist independently of politics. The expeditions are less chaotic in the initial phase and have been expanded to include an option to trigger specific special events. The museum is now a building with production chains: no more clicks in event series are necessary, instead you can clearly see what you have at a glance in the building (and also look at your competitors). These are important steps! The archeology is not yet complete, but most of it is. This should be completed by the end of the year.

The “More Flavor Events” (MFE) mod from Dementive has been completely adopted as announced, as well as some components from Cabinet of Wonders (CoW). The only thing we are really missing would be translations into other languages. Unfortunately, what still sets us apart from other mod projects is that we are almost only available in English.

New Mobilization Options.png

Precisely because Dubois was a very valuable but also tedious project, we did something smaller for the two weeks between our last release and the release of 1.5 - but also something that we had wanted to do for a long time, and that was also ours Players were asked: The Olympic Games!

In Victoria 2, there were at least a few flavor events every few years to commemorate the founding and running of the games. In Victoria 3 there is only a cheesy modifier for Greece when they research the Organized Sports technology. This is strange in so many ways that I hope I don't have to explain it - starting with the fact that the initiative to revive the Games did not come from Greece itself, but was largely due to the Frenchman Pierre de Coubertin.

Vikelas IOC.png

That's why it's possible for any country that has researched organized sports and has an academic to revive the Olympics. This academic will then de facto take Coubertin's role and found the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The country that revived the Olympics remains president – usually – until the end of the game. This means that the founding nation is always guaranteed a seat on the IOC board. The board of the IOC is elected every four years according to a certain key (5 Great Powers, two countries each from Europe, America and Asia, one country each from Africa and Oceania) and can therefore look completely different.

The job of the IOC Board of Directors is to determine the next location of the Olympic Games. Usually the first games are always played in Greece; If this does not exist, they will take place in the founding country. If Greece itself revives the Games, then it has a unique chance to permanently establish the Games in Greece. The board is then purely a matter of honor.

Vikelas Next Olympics.png

In most cases, however, the board votes on the host country every four years. There are one to three regular candidates. Through bribery, the player can be set up as the fourth country, although the final choice of the board remains uncertain. The country hosting the games will receive a strong boost in prestige after the games end. The athletes also get a home advantage when fighting for medals.

To be a host or take part in the Olympics, you must be a regular IOC member. All recognized countries that have researched organized sports and whose Infamy value is not too high can do this. IOC members also have the chance to be elected to the board. Up to 15 members can sit on the board. There are also events before the first Olympics that allow countries to join the IOC that do not meet the qualifications, but in which an academic takes his own initiative and makes his country an IOC member.

20231104223238_1.jpg

The Olympic Games themselves last about a month. There are a few small flavor events, two for normal participants and three for the host. At the end of the games, the coveted gold medals are distributed. As in real life, the medal table is an expression of prestige. 12 medals are distributed at each Olympiad. Of course, the statistics can be viewed at any time. By the way, in rare cases, characters such as generals, admirals and politicians can also take part in the games and collect new properties. And at the very end: perhaps a nation will also introduce the Olympic flame or the torch relay?

“Vikelas” is not just a project that deals with the Olympics, but also provides small flavor events for other sports. This includes the emergence of football, as well as baseball in the USA and cricket in the British colonies. With that in mind: all this, and much more, on 1.5 and the one-year anniversary of Morgenröte! :)

New version 2.0 "Lortet"

Finally the time has come! Victoria 3 reaches 1.5. For us, however, it is an equally special occasion: Morgenröte reaches 2.0!

This is not just a big step in terms of numbers. Lord R and I wanted to make it clear that the introduction of the GUI for academics and sports makes the mod look much more complete. We have also completed the large chapter “Natural History” for Dubois (for now). For this reason, we found it appropriate to express these big steps with the appropriate version number - not least because Morgenröte is celebrating its first birthday on November 18th. :)

Hotfix 2.0a "Lortet"

This update brings 3 EXPERIMENTAL (!) translations: German, French, Spanish. Morgenröte 2.0 is also compatible with 1.5.8. (It was before, but should now cause less confusion; it should also be compatible for 1.5.9)

Since this is a machine translation, we ask all native speakers to help us improve the translation.
