Any idea how to make it more Lombardic?
Without a more thorough knowledge of their language there really is no way. By 769 they really shouldn't be considered Germanic anyway, they had long since integrated into the local population and the only remnant of their Germanic past was some of their names. My suggestion? Name the kingdom in Latin.
PS: The same thing has to be done for Avaria, which is currently called Hungary in 769. My fix would be Avaria for Avars, Pannonia for everyone else, Hungary/Magyar name equivalent for Hungarians, and maybe a variant for Croatian and Bohemian. The same can be done for Carpathia.
Er, no it's not. It is called Avaria and has a different coat of arms until someone else takes it over. An event pops talking about the fall of the Avars in which the kingdom is renamed to Pannonia. I can get screenshots of a 100% vanilla game if you want.

No he's correct, Dakilla TM was talking about the effect this mod has on the game, which is that it causes Avaria to default to Hungry in 769.

I'm having a problem, changed roman.txt didn't change the e_byzantine title history, thought it did fix the papacy list. I think there is a another file somewhere which I need to modify. Also I found Yiddish names on that web site and I have compiled them. But I still need to go through the current ashkenazi names because already just looking them I over I can see they are not linked properly.

Interesting, I'll take a look and see what's going on. I know the Roman file has the names of Roman Emperors, and I thought that would change it

Some Emperors are Greek culture, especially around the 5th and 6th centuries.
I thought about that and checked already, that's not the issue. Some of the ones that aren't working are Constantine the great and Domitian, they have roman culture. I have a plan to try an find the problem. First for example I'll change Constantinus to Constantinus_Constantine see if that helps. Second load every ck2 single text file in notepad ++ then search them all for for the charid of the emperor's who names aren't being displayed properly.

I'm thinking of giving k_Italy a Lombard name to by pass the current bug with Lombardy being renamed to Italy in the 769 start, the problem is there isn't much information on the Germanic Lombard language. From what I've read it seems like it was some where between Old High German and Gothic. For now perhaps Langobardenreich or Langobarden?

That sounds too much like modern German, Lombardic was quite different (Old High German was too, by the way).

In Old High German, the noun "Reich", was "rîchi" instead.

A tentative name (in Old High German, I don't know enough about Lombardic itself) would be "Langobardarîchi".

As has been said Lombardic seems to have been between old high German and old Saxon. So perhaps Langobardarîki?

I was about to tell you how mine ended up working after I changed Adrian to Hadrianus. But congrats, now the regnal numbering is fixed!
I ran the mod thought the validator and fixed the minor errors, I'll post the current version of the mod soon, before I do that when you have time could you post your version of landed_titles with the capitalisation typos fixed.
It was actually a High German language, or a part of Old High German itself:
http://multitree.org/codes/lng
From what I've read there is so little information on Lombardic no one is really sure, only a few things are clear, for example that b in OHG becomes p "pert < bert" "prand < brand" which means I should probably revise the Lombard names at some point to apply this if paradox hasn't already.

AFAIK it is possible, yes. Take a look at the Christian names, for instance, i.e. "Jone_John". "John" is also defined in the religious names for Christians. AFAIK this means that the Basque version of the name will only occur if the character is born a Christian.

I hope what you said can be implemented, because then that'll create a new dynamic for the Visigoths who were both Christian and Muslim. Or in a simple way, we could just put both Christian and Muslim names to one list.

Although this might be awkward when your Christian Visigothic king is named Mohamed

I've added a few names to the French list and fixed some typos for the cultures. I have not added the newer cultures you posted as of last time, but the ones before like Roman and Portuguese names and such are on there. Feel free to add your newer list to it.

Here's also the changes I've made for fixing minor details on landed titles.

For the cultures, I found some spelling mistakes and changed up some of the base names, like using _Calixtus rather than _Callisto for the base name. I think using the Anglisized Latin versions of these names makes it easier to use as a base, like _Justin rather than _Iustinus.

I've added translations for some Italian names you missed like Giulio/Giolio_Julius, Giovanni_John, Giordano_Jordan, just to name a few. Fixed some misspellings here and there and capitalized some names as well.

Also added Jules, Constantin, and Justin to the French list. All translated.

Translated the name "Ademar" for French, Occitan, and Portuguese cultures.

Added the name "Orso" to the Italian list, translated to Ursus as a base. Lombards have the name Ursus which can translate well since they flip to Italian.

Added "Peter" to the Lombard name list, mainly due to many Lombards in 769 are named Peter (originally not in the list) rather than Petrus(in this list by default and translated), which messes up regnal numbering unless the history files are changed.

Added translation for the Suebi name Vermund_Vermudo.

I have not added any new cultures you've posted, so when you post the update, put yours in there. If I missed a fix let me know.

EDIT: Also edit the localization file. The empress title translation for Italian is not capitalized. I fixed it on my end but since the file is an excel file, I can't upload it here.

Okay I'm going through them now and combining them. In the process I founds a few more Latin forums of italian names: Bassiano, Basso from Bassianus, Bassus respectively.

Perfect. I think maybe the next big part could be English, since that list barely has anything. Castillian could use some extra names, as well as Basque. The Celtic cultures have plenty so that'll be left alone. I'll do some digging for more medieval English names and post my findings here. I'm also thinking of adding more Christian names to Levantine.

If you would like to post an update, go ahead. This one will be big since it changes the history files of Roman Emperors.
