Guys, I have crazy idea of making a mod for EU about Renaissaince in Arda (non-Lore) with all the continents etc.
So I just want to know if you had the same idea and/or will you play it if it will be done.

Interesting. Gondor at its height was probably near a renaissance level, lacking only gunpowder. Obviously you'd have to invent almost everything, with no canon sources. Logically EU of Victoria would be the game to use, depending on tech levels.

Such a scenario should have virtually no elves. The cozy relationship between Ronan and Gondor would probably have either broken down or the two would have merged. The Shire might have become a sort of ghetto. Its an interesting concept.

lololol best thing I've read all day my friend!

:D Well any outside investment is pretty much impossible, with humans not being allowed in.

Seeing as the Dunedain are perpetually short of manpower, yet trying to rebuild a vast realm with monumental buildings, the sort of labor-saving inventions that start the industrial revolution would be possible in Arnor.

The new Sauron thing would be a great idea, since you now get an enemy after finishing Sauron (it gets kinda boring without him).

Mouth of Sauron seems like a candidate to me.

I thought about using HRE mechanics for Reunited Fingdom. Shire will be reach in my opinion cause it has superior agricultural technology and can afford big number of human mercenaries. Also Shire has monopoly on tobacco.

Great Mod. Thank you.
While playing I noticed a few things (I hope I don't duplicate too many things):
- Claims for Dwarves are very expensive (over 2000 when the game bugged out)
- People under my rule become all dwarves even when they are ruled by their own people (I am looking at you Dale)
- Not all places I expect have the potential for a (lesser) dwarven city (Amon Lanc, Gundabad, Isengard, ...)
- Gundabad should probably be it own de jure duchy maybe even with a decision to rip it out of any de jure kingdom into a special kingdom (the same for moria and erebor) after the dwarven union is founded
- some flags don't seem to claer up correctly (seaching for mithril, hunting fo the ring (WAD?), dwarven assembly) or can be taken even if it already doesn't matter (mine/craft in erebor despite owning all possible armor pieces and finding the arkenstone multiple times)
- income modifiers for erebor apply always to the capital (sweet mithril powered moria with gold in erebor ;))
- I died an heirless death after the already at the start existing son and grandson died (gave myself the one ring but that wasn't really the fun)
- No Dwarven King joined the dwarven union (one guy at the start disagreed but it passed)
- Dwarven settlement outside of the mountains should be far more different from the ones in the mountains (not only remove the forges)
- Tribes don't upgrade even if they have the buildings needed
- Gandalf killed Durin's Bane!!! whitout any scripting (as far as I noticed)
- Could you enable transfer duke vassals under any king again? Many kingdoms can't be created and it would be nice to transfer the usless guys under a few selected dwarves

Another candidate might be a 'fallen' blue wizard.
There is no knowledge about did the blue wizards actually fall, in his later life Tolkien seems to have changed it so that they actually succeeded, by turning the Eastern men away from Morgoth-worship.

1. The Blue Wizards were able to hinder Sauron's operations in the East, aiding the defeat of Sauron in the War of the Last Alliance.
2. During the early Third Age and until the end of the Watchful Peace, they were tasked with finding where Sauron dwelt. They failed.
3. The Blue wizards ensured that the forces of the East did not outnumber the West, thus helping secure victory for the Free peoples in War of the Ring.

Pretty much everything beyond their names and the fact they went East seems to be open to speculation.

On a related note: I tried playing Sauron (as the necromancer) in the Fall of Armnor. All the wizards except Gandalf were in my court, and culled by events. When I mustered my army against some rebels, Manwe was leading my center. So that was interesting.

Prices for things like claims are variable based on your raw income, and Dwarves make hideous amounts of money, matched only by the Noldor. A Dwarf Republic or Noldor Republic would be...wow.

I tried making a vassal dwarven merchant republic but all the portraits vanished. Similar to how early eastern/ western clothing worked without the med portraits.

Dwarven and halfling portraits do not work with republics, period. They break the portraits once you click on them, and while you can reload and they ll be back to normal, the same issue will occur everytime you spot a dwarf/halfling patrician.

Hey guys, quick question, I was playing as a dwarf king, and I retook Erebor, but I can't seem to get past the Orc Raider event, do I have to have certain requirements to get past, or am I just unlucky?

Might just be luck. It took me a long time to officially reclaim Erebor, especially getting past that event.

I just got past it, but I've had to stop attempting to reclaim it, as the Orcs of Gundabad are declaring nonstop wars for the Grey Mountains.

Dwarven and halfling portraits do not work with republics, period. They break the portraits once you click on them, and while you can reload and they ll be back to normal, the same issue will occur everytime you spot a dwarf/halfling patrician.

I noticed ;)

The AI doesn't know that it has crappy troops and to be honest I have seen the grey mountains fall a few times.
