Any religion, upon reform, should have a Head. So the behaviour described is indeed unintended.

To be more specific:

- Both Yazidism and Yazdanism reform to Yarsanism. THis is not a bug. This happens with several religions close to oneanother "competing" for establishing a spiritual dominion. It has interesting gameplay implication... and somehow made the coding slightly lightweight-er ;)

- Upon reofrm your ruler should become head, a là Caliphe. If this does not happen, there is a bug.

Why have all the VIET childhood personality/random food/other traits and humors events been removed from gameplay?

IIRC DarkReborn or richvh did it to reduce redundant traits/systems that didn't have much gameplay value (or rather, the whole humors system was difficult to *fully* integrate *and* keep updated, and also slowed down the engine)

Thing is that Nomads are very very weak early game due to the reliance on the manpower mechanic, quite literally the only hope they have is mercs to help them out till they get 2-3k armies to make them even with their non nomad neighbors.

I've yet to have try out Horse Lords (or CK2 anyway...), but is it possible to mod the manpower mechanic by "strengthening" the counties where nomads they start?

on a relevant note, how integrate-able would the the Conclave/Horse Lords mercenary mechanics be?

(yeah, I know the Conclave DLC hasn't been released as of typing, but I'm guessing someone will see this post by the time it's released)

Hrm... tribes and nomads are both using Vanilla buildings, and all units are using Vanilla attack/defense values, so I'm surprised nomads are that weak. Riknap's our building and balance guru, so we just have to wait for him to get back to modding, I guess.

ditto above. haven't managed to check the files yet, but is manpower something tied to buildings/upgrades, or how?

(also, yeah, sorry for disappearing again - been busy with job searching and whatnot. my schedule should eventually "stabilize" soon enough once I'm employed to allow me to get back to modding though. ... ideally)

Make sure you've done the Important Installation Instructions in the OP. Try playing zoomed in, as that helps some people, and only zoom out when paused.

Ok, this is a bit weird - should some of the religions have the word "old" in their name? Such as "Old Antinomian", "Old Ghazi Muslim" etc?

No, they should not.

Edit: 2.5.x changes localization file entry load order priority, so that's far from the only localization glitch you'd see using current LI releases with 2.5.x. You can try the github version with 2.5.x, but I don't know how stable it is.

Hello ! I just got the git from the repository. The version number is 6K5 when the release one is 6K8. IS the git one older than the realase then ? That would be weird.

Or maybe I just haven't understood how to use the git repository, but I couldn't find any help or explanations on that. Would anybody help me ? :) Pretty please ? :D

Then it's up to date, I just haven't been updating the .mod file. Note that the laws still need to be cleaned up, otherwise it should be up to date for 2.5.1.

Why do several families(specifically House Mathrafal) not have any other characters but the ruler? Many vanilla families have been truncated this way.

Time and resources, the Lux Team is pretty small and not all of them are around at the same time of year I imagine.

The way Shaytana had it set up, nobody had any family, just initial rulers (usually just independents, very few vassals or ancestors.) There has been some work to expand those over the years, but it's still pretty bare bones.

No, they should not.

Edit: 2.5.x changes localization file entry load order priority, so that's far from the only localization glitch you'd see using current LI releases with 2.5.x. You can try the github version with 2.5.x, but I don't know how stable it is.
Tried it a bit last night. So far so good seems pretty stable to me. The last version would only run a couple years before crashing for me.
