Would it be possible for myself and my collogues to use some of the graphics from Lux Invicta to create a dualist religion group? The vanilla interface doesn't fit very well because of the Christian piety symbols. We'll credit Lux Invicta as the source in return (I spoke to riknap about this already and he said it's fine but that I should run it by everyone before I do anything).

EDIT: Could I add in some dynasties too? You have several Hunnic dynasty names and I've just added a Hun culture.

I get the idea of the current Merchant Respect system for clans/tribes, but it's flawed -- you have to pay even when you lose respect or gain it automatically, and more often than not that can bankrupt you.

Logged in here just to agree with and highlight the above comment. The Merchant Respect system takes about 400-700 gold from you each time your rulers transition. The problem is that gold is deducted when their respect goes down as well as up. This means that if your respected ruler dies, his heir will lose a ton of gold from decreased respect. Then he will lose the same amount again when he gets the prestige back. This bug in general keeps clans/tribes almost permanently bankrupt.

Now passing a new Mercantile Disposition Law is free from any direct monetary cost. The requirement of available cash has been slightly increased. If you are rich, you will "interest" your mercantile class... now beware, as before, if you want to keep their interest up while not having genuine mercantile skills (stewardship), you will still need to be generous. But this is limited to the option of volunteerily paying to artificially keeping your level up, not to the law transition anymore.

Does this work fine for you now? :)

Finally got Way of Life and dusted off my CK2... Damn, this mod is evergrowing. I definitely will give the latest version a try this weekend. Maybe even an AAR? ;>

EDIT: Or should I wait for the new update? I see the ETA was May, but remembering the times I used to meddle in LI development myself, I know such things are like wizards; never late nor early :D

What happened to the Mediteranian Graphics? I vaguely recall it being used when I last played LUX ages ago, before the Med Graphic got split in two.

Main reason I ask is because I'd love to be able to figure out how to change the Romans culturegfx without making them use other cultures clothes. No offense to however worked on making the Romans, but I just loath the vanilla appearance of Occitanghx that the base game uses for most of Europe.

Tribes have not been added (well, I remember DarkReborn saying he was making a couple of Finnish provinces tribal, but there isn't really any support for changing from tribal to feudal/republic since the vanilla tribal buildings don't integrate with LI's special building chains), since it is considered that the world is somewhat more civilized in LI than in vanilla. There has not been, and will not be, any timeline extension into the past, as 1) we don't have the manpower to do the extensive work in province and character history needed, and 2) there aren't enough clues in Shaytana's timeline to who and what controls where in the past. Way of Life, however, is fully supported.

If your Mac has the resources to run this very memory heavy mod, I don't see why not.
