Just had a claim faction war start in my current game... by/for a male claimant for an enatic realm. Oops. Need to edit some CBs/factions, males shouldn't be able to claim enatic realms, any more than females can claim agnatic ones.

Pshaw, you could be modding CK2 while playing EU4. Nothing keeping you from alt-tabbing to Notepad++ when things get slow, or at least roughing things out on paper.

things rarely get slow though, since I'm pretty much at war most of the time (whether by my choice or not), if not preparing for the next one.
And I tried that in the past, ie, doing something (whether modding/reading/surfing) while playing EUIV. The end result is that I rarely manage to do anything anyway, since too many interruptions to my concentration happen every few minutes :laugh:

(that said, when I do mod LI or CK2 anyway, I usually borrow a netbook and edit files in the dropbox-connected netbook while running it on my desktop. I can concentrate best on my "modding duties" that way :laugh: )

Why the heck haven't I tried this before? With such long loading times, I could have done wonders while waiting for my old man to have some children.

Um... Gary basically took the Umbra Spherae map, and chopped off everything east of the Ganges delta, and did it pretty much (as far as I know) without input from anyone else. I have no idea if he changed any of the provinces from what US had, but DR has added a few Vanilla provinces back in that got cut from US (or by Gary, whichever it was who did it).

We know that Shaytana wanted more provinces in Persia, but we have no idea what plans he had for them. The timeline isn't detailed enough to clue us in, either.

As Rich said, all I did was adding back some provinces that were lost in the map conversion and that's about it actually. That's why I said out of necessity, we could really use a dedicated map maker. In the meanwhile I'm the poor man's version of that :p.

Futuregary did indeed remove the provinces, or rather, he converted them into others. I have the initial version of the US map cut up to the Ganges that I sent him, which mostly retains the original vanilla provinces (From the pre-RoI map), save for some new ones at Corsica and Sardinia .

Outside of that, he changed Northern Greece's and West Anatolia's provincial setup to somewhat resemble their division on the Hellenistic period and that's as far as I know.

Rich, don't use namespaces for the events at job_actions, use IDs instead. For some reason, they won't trigger from there when using namespaces. You can check by looking at the Divine job action and seeing it doesn't list the chances for the events.

Well, the event IDs were too big (have the potential to collide with namespace IDs, depending on what namespace gets the 1300000-140000 block.)

If I'm honest, I don't actually know if adding an event there is required for it to trigger, or for it's chance to trigger to be shown in the tooltip. I guess that a test with a fast MMTH event with the job as trigger would solve that.

In any case, I guess we can use CM's Job action evnts ID range, which seems to be 2000-2100.

It's not required for the event to trigger, but is to let the player know what the possible events are, and what percentage chance they have to trigger.

I changed the event IDs to 99910x, which is unused.

Hmmm, it is a lot of work, but it's tempting, I've been mangling with it lately...

I can add my proposed Egyptian and Nubian provinces, see if it works, and then take it from there to some new provinces in Europe... and then I guess go for East Africa, which calls me strongly, but I know squat about it so far, and information on archaeological sites of Great Zimbabwe is... scarce, to say the least.

I'll talk with Dark Reborn about the state of the map he's in and how to manage new provinces and the like.

history/provinces: all non-wasteland provinces need to have a file here, containing c_ level title, max_holdings value and prebuilt holdings. Note that the last line won't be read by the game for some reason, so add a comment line or blank line after the last line you need to have read. Filename must begin with the province ID assigned in definitions.csv.

landed_titles: the titles assigned to the provinces have to be listed here, within their de jure duchy and kingdom. All baronies listed in the history/provinces file have to be listed here, along with enough extras to build out to max_holdings.

localisation: Each province needs a name entry (PROVxxx) and adjective entry (c_<name>_adj), along with name entries for each added barony, and name and adjective entries for any new duchy, kingdom or empire.

history/titles: To be playable from the start, the new counties/duchies/kingdoms/empires need files listing a holder (plus liege, if not independent) at game start. (I think you're familiar with this part.)

history/characters: The holders listed in history/titles need to be listed here.

history/technology: Any new duchies need to be listed here.
