An update on the Visigoth title localisations... ATM I'm removing the ones for duke and above since, after putting some thought on it, it's indeed a bit excessive.

There's also another matter I'd like to address... apparently the pre-Christian tribal god of the Tervingi Goths was Teiwaz-Tyr, not Wodan-Wodanaz-Odin. I propose that the Tervingi descendant at Asturias (and Asturias itself) be changed from Wodanazic to Teiwazic. This will also help mitigate the fact that there are at least 6 Wodanaz realms in game but just a Teiwaz one.

Whole-heartedly agree. I was going to take a look at the religions of Germany as well; not enough german_pagan, too much allfather.

Looks like someone has new stuff to put in every day, so I have no idea when it's going to be ready. Personally, I'm almost done with the religion heads; after that I know Numahr has something he wants to do to Persia and Central Asia, but if we can't get that done before the end of August then I say we should just go with it. Aside from that, I don't know what else needs to be done before it can be released.

Now would be a good time to ask this: are we going full native titles and the like? I'd advise against it, because I think it breaks immersion indtead of providing it. The resulting mess and bad grammar of events and general game texts creates an incoherent amalgam of modern languages and Medieval concepts that don't bend in. It's like SWMH, where things like a Hungarian "Hertog" breaks it because someone translated Duke into Hungarian without going far enough.

Of course, that's my opinion, but as I said when we discussed Visigothic culture, no need for a "Theudereiks of X". To me, King Theoderic has a much better ring than Theuden Thewdereiks, and in 1066, it means the same, so it's a bit redundant. One thing is to add titles that English can't really represent or that are already accepted into our English speech. Another one is to fill the screen with babble and foreign words. And mind, I'm not English, but I'm playing in English and I like coherence.

I know, but I'd prefer we kept some simple rules in case we ever get too close to SWMH levels of babble. "Guillaume is a Nourmand Duc" is silly, but "Shazguz is a Pahlavi Xshatrapavan" is just bizarre, even if I understand everything. The bad grammar just takes me out of it all. Romanus Eunt Domus.

I'm stuck with trying to get the mod to appear in my launcher. I have all the required dlc and have the mod put into my mods folder, but it doesn't appear in my launcher. Why is this?

The .mod must be in the mod folder (the one in the documents path, not the one in the steam path; if you dont have a mod (not mods) folder in the documents path, make one.) and all the folders must be in a single folder in the mod folder, named to match the path line in the .mod file (which is a text file, not a movie clip, whatever Windows thinks.) This is assuming you're using the SVN version, which needs a bit more to install than a normal downloadable archive.

Out of curiosity, were you able to figure out what was causing the crash I posted over in the bug reports thread?

Also, when the new version comes out, will I be able to continue my game, or will I need to start over?

Not sure anyone looked at your crash, since 6J1 isn't stable under 2.1.6, and assuming you're playing on 6J1, you definitely won't be able to continue your game... map changes break saves.

Just commited the Luwian stuff I've been working on (see the Spiritual Enhancement thread) in SVN version 500. Since this includes new traits, it will mess up traits in save games if you update.

Not with the current release. The 2.04 release was buggy, too. We managed to get it mostly non-buggy before the RoI release, but I don't know if anyone remembers what SVN version in the old repository that was.

Is there no other way to play? I didn't copy the previous version elsewhere. I just checked and it isn't compatible with 2.0.4.
