Have played a few games of LI with a newer SVN. Haven't noticed any slowdown.

Two things;

1) There's no Mali Empire?

2) "We learned things in battle" seems to proc fairly often; even when it's already proc'd.

I'll look into it, but I believe it's triggering at vanilla rates.
IIRC, I tweaked it so that it triggers more often, but the effect is shorter-lasting. That or I did the opposite and forgot to stabilize the MTTH @_@

Indeed. DarkReborn added the Artorian line already, the others will be added relatively soon. If not now, they'll be in the expansion.

At least one de jure empire down there.

I'm guessing FG added those in anticipation of his map expansion... so I'd say he's holding off on adding the religions until the expansion, or until he completes them (which is the best course of action, the copy he sent to me the religions were barebones)

Have played a few games of LI with a newer SVN. Haven't noticed any slowdown.

Forgot to ask a question about this; how many years have you played? I'd like to know because I introduced a few maintenance events to solve the slowdown, and I'd like to know if they're working properly.

BTW: I'm trying to give each (integrated) BLC gfx culture an unique look, other than just different coloured clothing for each, so I'm starting with the Saxons (mainly because there are way too many Saxon 3d models in my personal repository, so many, that I could stop a train with them)

After many ( and I mean way too many) redos of the Saxon royal/marshal helm (so I can replace that mask they wear now, which was a ceremonial burial mask; it would be akin to an Ancient Egyptian ruler running around with a golden burial mask-piece), I've gone with the same idea as the Saxon unit pack DLC and gave them late roman style ridge helms:

Another random aesthetic survey: I'm thiking in making a more traditional a more early Byzantine/Laet Eastern Roman gfx culture instead of their actual Diadochoi era inspired one (which would be limited to... Hellen culture as, it should). How would everyone feel about that? I've some resources on Byzantine clothing that might come in handy in this situation.

Thanks, I only need name lists, though with proper dating and such I'll code the characters myself (unless you guys want to have a try at it).

@tsf4: How about you start with the Ptolemies? We already have a full Seleukid list, so it's only proper that the other big Diadokhoi family gets a proper ruler list. Keep in mind that there are a whole lot of Ptolemaic branches in Nubia and Ethiopia, one comes from Caesarion (Ptolemy Caesarion in Meroe), one of Cleopatra's sons with Marc Anthony (Ptolemy Antonius in Nobatia) and with a local Ethopic Solomonid prince, I guess (Solomon Ptolemy in Shewa). I know the Ptolemies at Kyrene are also a cadet branch, of who though, I have not a clue. If you want an easier time, you can start with a direct tree from Ptolemy I to the ruler of Kyrene (Apollonios), and then we'll worry about the cadet branches.
Or you could really start wherever you want, this is just a suggestion.

@jmberry: You seem like an expert on British history, so I guess you can start with Britain indeed. Post that list of Powys rulers, and I guess you can start from there to the rest of the Island. A nice thing would be to finally see the 3 Artorian lines (Artorius of Cornovia, Artorius of Dyfed and Pendragon of Brythonia) finally united. You can also tackle the convoluted Saxon dynasties if you want to.

A lot of new religions referenced in events/jobs_lord_spiritual.txt have not yet been added to common/religions

Yeah, DarkReborn is right; I've got all the religions up and running in my revision but to avoid compatibility issues with the head revision, I've elected to refrain from uploading the rest of the new religions until the expansion. However, right now SELIN is being updated and for simplicity's sake I uploaded a couple of files as a whole rather than just the parts that are in the game right now.

Unless they're causing mix-up issues, I'd ask that you please leave them be, since it would save more work in the future :D

Yeahhhh... Bektashi's out.

It was originally sidelined so it could be improved upon and maybe introduced as an emergent religion later on in the game. It's still possible for that to happen, but not right now. Currently, it's just getting in the way.

That's nice. I like it. And I think the position is OK.

By the way, maybe Vesi and other Mediterranean-based Germanic peoples need a bit of rework, because right now they're wearing a lot of fur and Viking clothing, and I can't possibly imagine someone wearing those robes on August in the Mediterranean.

That's something I'm holding off until getting to the Eastern Romans (just the Rhomaioi, basically). To be honest, I don't know if making the Visigoth (and other Mediterranean Germans like the Vandals) attires more Germanic or more Roman.

But yeah, the furs should be confined to the Continental Germans like the Thiudiscas.
