I guess this is also a stupid question to ask when people are busy with other things, but would any of you mind telling me if you've encountered a reformed religion with flavor text in the game? I had a wonderful game with the Qart-Hadasht slaver republic where I formed anew the Carthaginian empire and modernized the Beelshamani faith to the Baalite religion, and it was nice having the flavor text for those efforts. Every other religion I've managed to reform since then has only had the placeholder text, sadly. If any of you have any pointers on a faith to try reforming in the game that you know has a little tidbit at the side beyond 'u happy nao?' I would greatly appreciate your assistance. I've admittedly not played too much in the northwestern corner of the map, which is where most of the work seems to have been concentrated going by lineages and bloodline traits, so I probably missed anything there.

Okay, following my Mathrafal genealogy is a lineage for Gwynedd, Perfeddwlad, and ... whatever Hereford's been renamed to. A refresher:

Bloodline of Maelgwn
This character is a descendant of Maelgwn ap Cadwallon, King of Gwynedd and High King of the Brythons. Maelgwn remains a legendary character among the Brythons, partly because of Taliesin the Bard, his son-in-law and court bard. Immortalized in the great songs of the Brythons, Maelgwn is widely remembered as the High Dragon of the North, and Great King of the Hen Ogledd. An Artorian and Constantinid on the maternal lines, Maelgwn was one of the chief supporters of Christianity in Brythonia. His support of Christianity turned the Pagan Brythons against him, and the Dragon of the Island found his death at the hand of the Pagan priesthood, burned alive as a sacrifice to the old gods. His descendants turned Gwynedd into a bastion of Christianity, while still allowing the druids of Ynis Mon their traditional rights over the Island. The Kings of Gwynedd might not be considered a great power among the Kings of the Island, but their strongholds remain impregnable, from this position of strength they can safely plot the downfall of their many enemies!

Agravanus “the Arrogant” [Agravaine], 494-?, son of Lot, Dynasty: Agravanid, Culture: Sarmata, Ethnicity: Britannus, Religion: Zal-Christ, held county of Vadum Exercitus
Agravanus starts the Agravanid dynasty, which rules what we would called Hereford. All the figures between him and the cureent guy (Pellinoros), should be placeholders.

Proposed Bloodline: Blood of Gododdin (given to Cadwallon ap Cunedda and Pellinoros Agravanid). Grants +1 Martial, +1 Stewardship
This character is a descendent of the Gododdin Tribe, perhaps best known through two figures – Cunedda of Gwynedd and Lot of Lothian. Descended from Mithras-worshipping Roman soldiers stationed in the North of Britannia, Cunedda moved his people south to drive the Gaels out of Gwynedd, which then became his domain. Although the descendants of King Maelgwn are the most noted of his lineage, other branches of the House of Cunedda live in North Cymru and have even held the throne of Gwynedd occasionally. Another, later, Gododdin, Lot of Lothian, allied himself with Magnus Artorius (Cunedda’s grandson through the female line, interestingly enough) and fought against the Saxons, who called him the King of Blood. He died at Mons Badonicus, surrounded by dead enemies. Although the core Gododdin are gone, wiped out by the Bretwalda Oswald, their descendents continue to thrive amongst the people of Gwynedd and Brythonia, serving as warriors and administrators for lesser men. One day, a new figure will arise from their line, one who will unite them and restore the Gododdin tribe as masters of North Britannia!

Amazing mod, loving it right now as I reform the Hellenic Hegemony. I'm just curious if you would ever consider adding a Spartan specific Graeco-Roman faith that exonerates Ares or Herakles especially? I just feel it would be a more accurate reflection of Spartan practices and the like moving forwards over time :3 Other than that, keep up the amazing work! Looking forwards to an expanded map including India!

That would be pretty cool but the Eosophoros religion also works for them given that it's highly militant war like and opposed to the wide spread Abrahamic faiths which including the one right next door and it's a result of the Roman Sol Invictus cult and the Mithra cults influence as well so it makes sense.

Shouldn't it be graphical_culture, not graphical_culture_type? If graphical_culture_type is the right tag, this needs to be reported in the Validator thread.

A correction to my post higher up on this page, I think I encountered flavor text for a reformed religion either from reforming the Berber faith or the Canaanite one or possibly both, I can't remember too well. If anyone knows where to go in the files to see the flavor text for the reformed religions (or maybe religions in general?) that would be fantastic.

A couple are in NM_localisation_religion.csv; most are in SELIN_localisation.csv, including all the placeholders DR added (starting at line 2409) which need to be revised to show the soul, civilization, etc.

Yeah... I started on some descriptions but really, I got distracted by other work. Better have Numahr take care of it, since he's much better at it.

there's a bug, which we're having trouble identifying the source of, wherein a game that runs at usually 3 days a second goes to 3 seconds a day without warning. you likely accidentally triggered it, and if you could help us by trying to remember the transition point (what was happening when the massive slowdown suddenly occured) it would be much appreciated.
JUst had this happen to me. Does this fix itself eventually, or does it stay this way permanently?

Just came here to say the same, played for a few decades and then it's 3 seconds a day all of a sudden, I'm also wondering if it's like this for good?
we're not sure if it's been fixed in the SVN and/or if it can be fixed (the sudden quagmire lag that is)...
do you have access to the SVN version? or rather, are you willing to help us test the SVN if this bug/issue has been fixed?
