I'm going to be uploading soon a few performance fixes I've been working on... I believe I know which event may be causing the slowdown.
that said, are you using the SVN version, or the released pre-SOA alpha?
Pre-SOA version. Whats the SVN version?

It's the developer/modder's version in which they have updated upon the previous release but isn't quite polished/good/stable/other enough to be released.
.... which works pretty much as intendedwell, technically that pre-SOA release was more of a "wanna-bug-test-what-we-have-so-far?" version though![]()

Failing that, make the first act of your infant empress to give a whole bunch of dynasties independence, with nice, neat borders. Then, once she's of age, she can start the process of reclaiming it all<snip>

So I've reached the point where my empire is the largest on earth, my faith is the most widespread one, my capital has outrageous levels of technology, and the only two female members of my dynasty are my fifty-some empress and her infant great-niece. The size of my realm gives a -70 to relations with everyone, as well as one heck of a penalty to levy sizes. The moment she takes the throne, there will be no possible levies to raise, so even if I continue to abuse holy wars to defer rebellion (Which I can, because I have enough prisoners to turbo-boost my infant empress to 500 Piety), I will only have my 5000-strong retinue to fight more than thirty thousand angry muslim soldiers from what remains of the caliphates. And probably also what remains of Sparta, just for good measure.
Congratulations on making vast, multicultural empires appropriately deadly. I - having formed, appropriately, Arche Makedonia - suddenly sympathize a good deal with Megas Alexandros. I would play on, but alas, like I said, I'm running out of dynasty. Maybe I'll try to see if I can get an Enatic-Cognatic reform in before the old lady dies.
aye, once I finish my JLPT next week, I'll see if I could look into balancing the realm-duress levy modifiers (specifically, reducing the linear reduction by a lot while probably boosting the size bonus for smaller realms - that said, I'll need playtesting to do so effectively, so not anytime soon).Maybe with 2.0 you'll change the realm duress modifiers ?
I mean the levies have benn drastically lessened
nope, but I might considering add them in the future once I have done my backlog (and have asked permission)Quick question
Does this mod have the pillaging/sacking events from the winter kings mod?
I found some bugs in the Pre SOI release.
Most notably that retinues and title creation have a negative symbol. When you attempt to form a title you lose gold but there is a negative symbol on the authority that once formed lowers authority. Retinues cannot be formed because the retinue cap has a negative sign next to the holdings.

I apologize for neglecting to get back to you, and even more so for taking so long on the SELIN update. Unless you have plans to update again soon, I'll run off the 11/2 file and put my changes in. I can't have a guaranteed deadline yet, there are some personal things that are taking up the majority of my time right now, but I will get it done soon.
the funky tooltip for localisation is half the engine's fault though, since it renders its actual value and not the absolute value, which makes it hard to phrase/code without awkwardness of double negativesI found some bugs in the Pre SOI release.

The negative next to authority is not a bug, it's intended. Still amuses me that it's green and not red.
Retinues seemed fine for me, I just couldn't get any because -200% martial on all holdings. D:
