Soon I guess. I'm doing my share of work right now, making a regex script to automate all that... like hell I'm doing it manually :D

Manually would be far too much of a hassle! Good plan using a script to do so. Is there also plans to update the BLC module for LI as well, or will that still work regardless?

SELIN 2.0 which was 100% completed before SoA minus the odd bug, should be clean for next release, which I guess will be a zero new feature release, so that we can actually decide what changes we will make to SELIN.

well, last Sunday's release was more of an beta-of-a-beta-through-the-door release, so hardly consider it a proper release anyway (especially since I haven't actually managed to work on anything on my end aside from minor fixing and tweaking ), so feel free to consider the next "release" as the proper one :3 )

I had no CTDs on selecting/raising holy orders or mercenaries, or their holding characters.
The modifier is Riknap's thing, so I'll guess he'll check that.

Don't worry then. I have already converted or merged most of the SoA content, so it should be just a matter of eventually balancing things out.

weren't they supposed to be using the temporary early-SELIN descriptions as placeholders though?

It's updated to the last LI version in the repository, I'm waiting on riknap to upload it.

I forgot to ask, but the changelog? I know you did say you made a number of cumulative changes, so just compile whatever you could remember in general terms in addition to the log you've already made previously in an SVN release log

hi guys, loving the mod so far, unfortunately, I accidentaly let my game update to 2.0 so my saves gone, unless youre planning some sort of compatability patch?

Had a great time as the Imperium Romanum, although I did think the realm duress opinion modifier got a bit.. much later on. With an empire spanning greece, south italy, egypt, the levant, anatolia and mesopotamia, i had an opinion modifier to my vassals of something like -65!
I also noticed that I _never_ had any peasants or religious revolts at all - is this a bonus of my religion or something?
One more thing, i noticed culture conversion has been severely nerfed - any particular reasons why?

One more thing, i noticed culture conversion has been severely nerfed - any particular reasons why?
cultural conversions are bugged in the previous version - instead of an MTTH of 1/2 millenia (doable but not too rapid like vanilla), it'll take 12 millenia in that version :p

as for opinion of vassals, part of the reason is that you're not supposed to be able to comfortably hold a large empire. but then again, it's not exactly good balance either to just rely on opinion to make large empires unstable - factions should also have a larger impact at that point (which I haven't exactly gotten to balancing yet).
I'll still need to fine tune the balance of that, but not any time soon though. For now, it'll stay that way temporarily until I could work on it.

- mostly @ riknap: theory crafting as it may sound, I think the re-balance by PDS of the recruitment system serves, to a large extent, the purpose of your realm duress modifier in a more integrated manner. The higher your main title is; the further you expand from your de jure area; the stricter limitation is on recruitment. So basically on good law of diminishing returns without artificial limitations. Maybe it will be time for the realm duress triggered modifier to retire?

- indeed "we" are supposed to copy paste mechanic descriptions. I just think nobody felt concerned by the "we". I may do it as an expedient once I am done with the more urgent task of entering correct values for short reign modifiers. For info I have done 63 religions so far (close to 30%).

- I tuned down revolt risks values after a lot of feedback on them popping up too often. Solar Imperial religion provides -3% revolt risk, but no revolt ever is a bit strange. Anyway debating on pre-2.0 revolt mechanic is a bit pointless anyway, let's see how revolts work in 2.0 before we speak of any balance.

- mostly @ riknap: theory crafting as it may sound, I think the re-balance by PDS of the recruitment system serves, to a large extent, the purpose of your realm duress modifier in a more integrated manner. The higher your main title is; the further you expand from your de jure area; the stricter limitation is on recruitment. So basically on good law of diminishing returns without artificial limitations. Maybe it will be time for the realm duress triggered modifier to retire?

- indeed "we" are supposed to copy paste mechanic descriptions. I just think nobody felt concerned by the "we". I may do it as an expedient once I am done with the more urgent task of entering correct values for short reign modifiers. For info I have done 63 religions so far (close to 30%).

- I tuned down revolt risks values after a lot of feedback on them popping up too often. Solar Imperial religion provides -3% revolt risk, but no revolt ever is a bit strange. Anyway debating on pre-2.0 revolt mechanic is a bit pointless anyway, let's see how revolts work in 2.0 before we speak of any balance.

indeed, this is exactly my thoughts. the out-of-de-jure system would certainly help.
that said, while I do plan to nerf the Realm Duress triggered modifiers, I won't be scrapping them altogether however - holding together a large realm should still have consequences, especially given the setting, so a ruler of a multi-kingdom empire shouldn't be having an easy time as a homogenous kingdom. But most importantly, this is also to prevent financial snowballing more than ever really.
Of course, balancing it to be right would take a bit of work still, but I'll see what I can do once I'm free again.

as for the copy-pasting of localisations, IIRC I believe darkreborn alread said he did so in the past, so I'm kind of confused now ( I haven't exactly booted the game for some time :( )

as for revolt risk, that might be because I toned down the general revolt chance in the defines - I'll need to also look into that as well

I did start, but someone replaced almost half of my work with "Template" on almost every entry. Some still remain (the Wodanaz entry for example). Anyway, that should be lowest priority right now.

cultural conversions are bugged in the previous version - instead of an MTTH of 1/2 millenia (doable but not too rapid like vanilla), it'll take 12 millenia in that version :p

as for opinion of vassals, part of the reason is that you're not supposed to be able to comfortably hold a large empire. but then again, it's not exactly good balance either to just rely on opinion to make large empires unstable - factions should also have a larger impact at that point (which I haven't exactly gotten to balancing yet).
I'll still need to fine tune the balance of that, but not any time soon though. For now, it'll stay that way temporarily until I could work on it.

ahh fair enough! I think I saw the MTTH in a tooltip somewhere and was somewhat.. surprised :p
Another thing - in my game, a few unreformed religions managed to reform, and it seemed like the localizations of their reformed names was missing, if that makes sense.

Speaking of which, is there a way to revert the patch version of my ck2? Or will the saves on the current version of LI be save compatible with the next?

A progress report; It seems it was not the religion/culture line order it seems that every province history file now requires a... proper history with dates (even if it's empty). That's nice, it'll make my script all easier...

That's not the case, I would take another look to see if there's anything else elsewhere amiss. Nothing has changed concerning province history files in 2.0.

It fixed it for me at least... I don't know whatever it was but it seems that adding an empty history tag like so:
