Copy Crusader kings buildings files from common\buildings over Lux's 00_buildings (or just delete Lux's) and delete in Lux\localisation the file 1_buildings file. (Make backup BUT I believe it should work) Maintaining more versions of the mod is not something I am going to do because I don't have time for it - Lux is being developed with the building system as a core element atm.

There is a long way to go on the timeline, all will be explained in time. Setup is also being reworked. Let me just say this the current setup is placeholdery in parts and a rush-job. The setup I will end up with will reflect the timeline 100% whenever I'm done with it hehehehe.

Ok I see where you got that :) Albanian history is something I've learned to be a minefield when discussing it with people holding strong convictions one way or another. :) Maybe partly because I remember an epic conflict between 2 such people who nearly came to blows over it. I will most likely have Dardania if I have Illyrians - I would like to have Illyrian culture in, but that's another culture that needs to be implemented names and all... Dardanians were another Illyrian tribe just like the Albanoi, but in my timeline they actually formed a very strong kingdom etc.

Thank you - localisation error, will fix it tonight. As you can see from the unfinished timeline Romans in this reality operate differently. They oversee a vast network of client states, some of these are taxed to pay for legions. Romans basicaly are first and foremost obsessed with military aspects and having clients pay for their military (or provide them with theirs). Call Romans the Army with a Confederation of the Ancient World. :) Pontus was primarely a military client. Policies were implemented later to turn the Roman approved (and developed for that purpose) cult of Mithra supreme in such places. Sinope was the Headquarters of the Pontic Legion besides being the obvious center of the client Pontic army itself, it became quite Mithraic.

0.4 was to be a major setup rework, I have renounced that idea and I'm slowly implementing things as I go. I'll turn the game 0.4 when I'm satisfied with things. I currently have some major plans up to 0.8... 0.9 and 1 I have no idea what I would want to do with other than polish etc, but ideas can come. I'm keeping plans a surprise because I am unsure if I can implement what I want to do etc, so better that way rather than dissapoint people. :)

On the buildings. Let me just say this for future reference (I said it before but I want to be clear on it) - this mod is developed primarily for my own pleasure and on some issues I won't budge no matter what - buildings is one of them - the building system will be done to my taste no matter what. :) I like building things, I like to be able to just sit there with a small state and develop things on occasion. I will listen to feedback and if I find some brilliant ideas I will change things but other than that the buildings system is most likely going to be implemented precisely the way I like it :)

I have a question for people: do you want more unique buildings such as legendary military traditions at the expense of performance? I believe that adding those buildings tied to specific provinces adds to performance loss...I am unsure how much or if I am correct but that's my current belief -> has zealous trait. ;)

I want to add some more of those and have 2 kinds - the OP Legendary ones , so for example I woud give Chalkaspides to Pontus in Sinope, and the less OP ones, I might call them as I had wanted to do something along those lines at one point anyway "Superior", or I could go back to my original design and say "na na na na I don't care about performance" and add Superior troop types to regional areas tied directly to province and remaining there forever irrespective of culture changes... So tell me folks do you want this stuff at the expense of performance or not?

I am actually thinking for errr regional fun reasons to maybe give at least 1 legendary tradition roughly per regional area... so for example 1 tradition somewhere in Britain, 1 in France, 1 in Iberia, 1 in Germania, 1 in Slavic East Europe, 1 in the Nomadic Area etc... maybe. I will also have to consider balance so it's most likely that they will be given to smaller states or that I will rework the setting a bit to make the states receiving them smaller. (well if they overperform in game, if they don't they don't)

I am also considering implementing a new Empire for tonight's update one for the Indohellenic area. I've also been thinking of allowing Berbers to form the Carthaginian Empire as well. I am on the fence about putting in a Pontic Empire around the Pontus Euxinus.

There is a big twist to the tale of Britain, that will be revealed when I get the timeline up to it, one of the reasons I haven't put the traits in there and the legendary tradition is because I wanna do it all at once for that area or so - call it the Rule Britannia overhaul. ;) Patience, there's going to be a tradition there, and traits, and more! (also the setup over there will be reworked a bit. As you can see stuff that appears in the timeline is beginning to appear in the setup, Britain will follow. :)

I wonder if there's an easy way to give regnal numbers to starting characters (without having to put in historical characters in files... having those all the way to the time of alexander, linking them together, linking them to titles etc would be sheer die of old age till it's done stuff - not to mention incredible save game bloat and lag issues). It pisses me off greatly to have someone who should be at least X+ appear as I... :mad:

Being Danish with no ties to the region I did not know it was such a mine field. I just posted here because I thought the article was cool and sort of fitted in to the set-up in this mod.:) Whatever you do in this region I am certain will be cool too.

Yep, I understand. :) Being someone born in Eastern Europe I'm only too used to the typical nationalist inspired "history" arguments hehehehe. I hate them with a passion, I've taken to quietly withdrawing from such nonsense. :) Maybe it's because I'm not a pureblood (lol) but a mix of various cultures that I don't swallow any particular brand of this stuff hehehehe, or maybe it's just because I am enlightened! <---buddhaface :D So yah, for future reference to those who would - for when it will happen (if it happens haha) - I will not debate Balkan/Eastern European history on this thread. (or anywhere else lol).

By the way is WAD that the two large Danish regions in DK don't have CB on each other. That makes it a bit harder to unite Denmark and it is my impression that Denmark wasn't in a big turmoil to be united?

Well with the 2 being different religions that would work but if you generate a character with the same religion as the other it get muddled. maybe having some de jure between the 2 as well would be prudent.

I've added a Germanic Legendary Military tradition - Adalinge Herjis, (only 1 because of the lag these generate) and I've given it to Toledo so the Visigoths get a fighting chance, Carthage, Franken(perfect spot in Teutonic area I thought) and Cherson(to boost the Crimean Goths).

But to give you an even better answer, there's going to be 2 (at least) legendary traditions in Britain. One of them will feature - let's call it a minor hint - heavy cavalry. :happy:

I am thinking of adding another legendary tradition in - a heavy infantry legendary tradition multipurpose to give it to a Saxon province, a Norse province (or more - although there's 2 provinces with berserkers already) and 1 Varangian province.

While I know I want to put that tradition in Kent and Novgorod, I'm not quite sure where to put it in the Norse area hehehe. I was thinking of putting it in Uppland but that would make Sweden ultra OP hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Ok I've made my mind up! It's going to be put in Gotland :D If you can find an argument for me to put it elsewhere do so. :)

Denmark at this time had something called trelleborge where one theory says they where used to train professional soldiers. This was the only ones in the world and Denmark did have remarkable soldiers at the time so maybe there?. The trelleborge (there was 3 but if you only want one you could chose any of the three) was located at Jutland, Sealand and Skåne. Just an argument for putting it elsewhere.

Problem is whoever gets it has a major gameplay advantage and I will nerf it territory wise BADLY. Kent got it because it's 1 province, Novgorod got cut apart, I've redone the setup there. They were too strong to begin with compared to the other Varangian states. I don't wanna put it in Catholic Jutland, and if I put it in Skane or Sjaelland I would have to counterbalance that by taking away maybe 2 provinces... I sort of don't want to do it. Puting it in Gotland makes sense for the timeline in a way and also turns that 1 province into a powerful island realm interesting to play and also worth acquiring.
