If I don't hear from Numahr tonight, I will take out the sectarian and communitarian traits they are just all over atm. I am also half thinking of putting the Sarmatians in this update as well, can't decide yet - I'm not quite happy with the names they use.

This mod has been awesome so far, i really love it. i'm currently in a game as the Norse King of Norway. I have four questions though. 1.) will you be implementing religious heads Ie: Pope/Caliph, for various religions that currently don't have a religious? 2.) it seems to me that the Norse Court Volva (Court Chaplain) doesn't have the ability to convert people to the Norse faith, but provences not of the Norse faith get and event after awhile, saying that they have returned to the old ways. Is that to be the form of Norse conversion? 3.) does the viking events ever end on their own, or do you have to always do the return home feature? 4.) The Norse seem to have an event similar to ramadan, i forget the name at the moment, but it does it always have a chance of having your character wounded, ill, maimed, or infirm?

1)depends on religion, some will get heads eventually, others won't - for some it really doesn't make sense to have heads
-the Norse questions you are asking are related to Aspie's Norse mod, I did an adapted implementation of it changing some things but not those so I'm not 100% expert on it but:
2)yes, Norse conversion is via event
3 and 4 I'm not 100% sure about. Aspie is the best to ask. :)

Re. the religious heads thing, I think that the Imperial Cult would be a good one to give a Religious head, that is also the head of the dynasty, if it wouldn't break the game.

Ok, I'm guessing Numahr won't update his work tonight so I will just temporarily remove those 2 traits - I prefer it that way rather than have those traits all over the place. I'm going to upload the update soon, it's going to have some religious icons based on the stuff Orinsul sent me...and other things, most notably it's got the kingdoms of Tylis, Singidunum and Pontus in.

No sadly because I am going to have several dynasties under Imperial Cult - one just got Imperial Cult as religion this update I'm uploading now. Hint - It's the Augustans.

Ok, update posted. Tell me if you have any setup balance suggestions because I am changing my model from having all setup changes implemented in one go in 0.4 and just implementing stuff as I go. Tomorrow I'll most likely add the Sarmatians in if I'm satisfied with the culture names list.

Could I persuade you to maybe release two versions of the mod, one without the changes to building? I really enjoy this mod, but building up control in provinces is really boring. Especially when you forget about the lag and open up the building tab without being paused.

SELIN update sent to Sheytana, with two major bugfixes:
- converted provinces loose the old religion's modifiers;
- communitarian / sectarian traits get under control.

Also:
- overhaul of communitarian / sectarian classification based on clear rules;
- integration of intolerance in communitarian / sectarian traits;
- bonus to Jewish economic research bonus .

Look at the relations map, you will immediately see in red the intolerant sectarian religions of the Middle East... Select a Manichean ruler (or any other sectarian) and look at his relations map as well to see the effect of the new feature... will post some maps to make it clear tomorrow.

You must have been hearing some typical Balkan nationalist propaganda pseudo-history. ;) Not that I'm adverse to pseudo-history mind hehehehehe... I've also heard tons of nationalist pseudo-history for decades now, coming from all sides of that particular brand of fantasy - pretty much every single people in Eastern Europe has its own nationalist spin attached hehehe... Reading some of the nationalist mass produced "history" books around Eastern Europe is priceless entertainment! :D

The Albanoi were an Illyrian tribe like many others, Albania the kingdom is a medieval creation, strangely by Charles of Anjou hehehehe. Also if I implement another kingdom related to Illyrians - it's most likely going to be Dardania - they are integral to the timeline. So, sadly there's little chance of implementing Albania atm. They might have been an interesting addition for some I'm sure.
Actually it was an article I read in a Danish magazine for History Called Illustrated History. The article also mentioned that the tribe was Illyrian but they where already in place at the time of the great migrations so they would be the "Original" tribe of sorts.
The article is an answer to a question. It is in Danish but I'll try to translate it here.
"Q: How long did the Albanians live at Balkan.

Answer: The majority of historians believe the today's Albanians decent from the Illyrians. They were a group of tribes who lived by the eastern shores of the the Adriatic during at the age of antiquity. The tribe was named after the legendary hero Illyrios from Greek mythology and their oldest empire dates from the 700 B.C..
The name Albanians is believed to have derived from the Illyric city of Arbon that is mentioned in Polybios World History dated 100 B.C.
So contrary to almost all the cultures around them the Albanians lived at the Balkans before the great migrations."
This is just if you want to add it at some point otherwise its just a small info on the Albanians. I remembered the name wrong it was from a city and not a king they got their name.

Pontus seems to be localized as "Pontuss", and instead of Mithraic, which seems to represent the western Roman military cult version of Mithra, its religion should probably be some sort of Zoroastrian.

Feel free to ignore this if you havn't already set it out in mostly stone. But I was curious as to your version numbering system, what are you considering the milestones leading up to the next increment. Or are those things mostly a surprise you have in store for us.

Played about 200 years as Kingdom of Jorvik. Fantastic mod! I'm on the fence about the buildings, but I really dig the ability to sort of "focus" your build order a bit more for customization. I think the kingdom of Daneland de jure vassals is wonky. I'm trying to eradicate Christianity in Britannia and Scandinavia atm. I have tried to avoid blobbing too, England , though Saxon, is Norse/Dynasty (couldn't save Daneland and it's creation reqs seem off) and Jyland Norse /Danish / Dynasty! I put up the dynasty bonus a bit too so the comp is usually game to help out . (only on D wars though, house rule!)

Great experience so far. Have had a multiplayer session with the save as well and the stability was par with vanilla.
