Ah I was just checking that it was WAD and not some bug. I'm guessing this will occur less often as empires start to blob and armies get bigger. I can definitely tell it will be very nice for dealing with rebellions!
after playing a bit, I think it's slightly... less ideal than I hoped for (namely, wars can end in a single battle [which was the intent really, but in practice less than ideal ] ).
I'll probably tone it down a bit to 125% or 100%, but not less. I'll still make it the primary focus, but to a slightly lesser degree now (this next statement might give PastPatrick a heart attack, but I actually want the game to be not THAT hard

)
on a side note, I've had some fun playing as Venice. Well more accurately, I somehow saw the venetian republic revoked into a principaility/duchy again, and they were defending against a ravennan sacred war (which is too ... common in-game now that I think about it. might need to think of this a bit). playing as them, I managed to capture the ravennan king, who I executed, and their vassal mercenary captain inherited, so I played as them. I soon found that those mithraic-catholic's expansion war CB is slightly too OP/easy to acquire (but that might have been intentional - I'll need to recheck), so I for fun declared war on three realms, then raised my 2k legion of doom, and proceeded to kick arse :rofl:
then I noticed the Princeps of Rome was somehow a theocracy- whether he was deposed or not I didn't notice (I also encountered a peasant revolt to the north in lombardy, but I wonder who they were fighting )
all in all, that was... quite an interesting 5-minute session. Lux Invicta forever indeed :rofl:
as for portraits, I have no idea what I'm doing, and I somehow made things worse (operating on a personal copy). so I'll just leave doing whatever with them to your hands, and I'll just copy whatever you do to the repository
