apparently, I forgot vassal_opinion doesn't work properly for modifiers. I might have to return the Vestigial Empire thingy back to its previous state then to prevent it from hampering players/AI too much

on a side note, I've finally restored building histories to what they were pre-TOG. IIRC there were around 13 or so provinces with predefined histories. In case I missed any, feel free to correct me (I'll post a lit soon).

Also, I've managed shrines now add piety to their owner. I was thinking of making each full shrine chain (ie. all 7 buildings) add +0.15 monthly piety (the aforementioned provinces with predefined buildings have access to the 7 by default, and relevant SELIN-soul religions have access to varying tiers as previously discussed [I really need to improve the documentation of the Game Guide links). Similarly, the local cult building chain (available only to those with certain traits, though they won't disappear after building )also adds +0.15 piety per month aside from land morale (+0.15? around that value or less).
Thoughts?

On a side note, my earlier question regarding adding a diluted/weakened version of the cult buildings to cities still remains. While this is mostly asked at Numahr, I'm curious what the opinion of others on this is as well.

On an off-topic tangent, LI has had 1,500 downloads of the alpha-003 since its release, so essentially a hundred a day in average. Good to know there's quite the support :laugh:

on a different topic - I keep forgetting to ask, but do you have plans regarding the celtic faces? And/or making alternate versions for them, in the near/far future? Or should I buy them to avoid looking at black boxes?

on a quick glance, I like what I'm seeing :laugh:
except I can't comment and look at it in depth, since it's 1:30 and I need to wake up early again tomorrow (this is becoming a habit, I noticed T_T )

edit: after some cursory looking, I'll admit I kinda prefer v3 better than v3.5 since the... bus wiring-ish clump of lines just makes me get lost :rofl:
besides, the design of v3 does highlight the government tree's role (granted, while I like the clustering of v3 more, the lines however....

edit2: since the dl was taking longer than I thought, I ended up noticing some details
namely, did you make the granary an education-type building? :p
we agreed it was eCONOMY :D (though I can totally see myself making this mistake xD )
in any case, no need to fix it for this for now.

edit3: a minor suggestion before I finally go shuteye
for v3:
you could probably try adjusting the education buildings to the upper left to be slightly diagonal. that way, you could probably push the local autonomy chain slightly higher.
as well as slightly taking advantage of the upper right space :p

then again, in the end I can see the largest issue we'll have are the lines :laugh:
I'll study your flowchart tomorrow in depth.
But for now, i have to say, it'll definitely be helpful in modding right now :D (maybe not just yet as a general gameplay guide xD )

Agreed, that was one of the biggest turn offs, I might try other layout modes to see if I can get something to work with the same building type grouping.

Probably, currently I'm having the program automatically do the lay-outs for me. In the future I might do some manual labor.
Just can't trust those fancy algorithms :p

Yes, this is far from what I want it to be to release as a tool for the players.

I do recall Futuregary mentioning he is working on that, making them non-required.

Edit: Same going for many other DLC's like unit packs.

I've been using your flowchart for some time (the v3 ), and I have to say the only real comment I could add aside from my earlier observations (like combining v3.5's clustering with v3's clarity) is that the only thing missing as a modding reference tool are tech level indicators.
If you could make a rough interim version 3.75 wherein you add in tech level requirements (just add use parenthesis and write the tech number there. if it's multiple techs, then just write the largest number), it'll definitely help (since I still find myself stumbling in terms of associating just how far "advanced" one building is relative to another [for example it won't make sense one building only requires tech level 2.... while its prerequisite requires level 4 ] ).

well, I do have a minor suggestion mostly on aesthetics - is it possible to make the connections of upgrade paths/continuities as thick/bold, while non-direct prerequisites remain thin? Right now, the dominant red prerequisite lines are totally dominating my field of vision ( granted, I kinda agree with red as prerequisite connectors, but only if they're visually in the "background", ie. thin lines, as compared to more relevant "upgrade and continuity paths" )
