out of curiosity, how many times has this been brought up? I can only remember two (this one and the more recent one). Before implementing a Sino-Hellenic reverse invasion, we'd have to decide (1) What the civilization modifiers would be, (2) What religion it would be, and (3) if not an already implemented religion, what the SELIN modifiers would be.
... keep it to your imagination then? :laugh:In the meantime, is there any chance of a working importation of the vanilla Mongol invasion events? My imagination likes the idea of a huge clash between the Zoroastrian Sassanids and Mongol hordes. Or a battle of the horse nomads in the East as the Huns attempt to fend off the Mongols for domination of the Urals..
Orinsul;14752984Also a Mongol invasion would probably make sense as the Great Sino-Hellenic army subduing the steppes and marching ever west would drive them out and theyd have to go somewhere and with the east what theyre running from the the south [presumably said:under the rule of indo-hellens likely allied with their cousins in China and the north all cold the divided west is both and only and the best place for those hordes of displaced horse nomads to turn to. So having a couple medium sized Mongol invasions in the century before the, much much greater, Sino-Hellenic one would make sense.
thanks. Have you noticed anything else?By the way, in 99_tradition_traits.txt, morale_defene->morale_defence (5 places)
for starters, as rich pointed out: there are only a couple of humour combinations. there's a bucketful of blood traits.Hm, last suggestion regarding Blood of... traits, though it will probably not affect me much if you don't, pending the answer to the second question:
Why can't Blood of... be handled like phlegmatic/etc? Those don't seem to tax the system overmuch, though I don't know the specifics. Alternately, would an on-birth mini-event be that taxing on the system?
Secondary, will the AI start mixing about 8 blood traits over time? Actually I'm not sure that'll deter me much, as long as I can find un-blooded NPCs, I just won't cheat with blood mixing. It bothers me to no end that I need to play an unbroken line of dudes to have a blood trait at all, and I don't even generally have one. I'm mostly just curious, the AI is so stupid it can probably use the line of 8 blood traits.
are you sure it's not a merc/holy order? Why is it that as Duke of Iceland, controlling both counties gives me 200-300 troops, whereas giving my son 1 of the counties he can give me 1200? Seems a bit weird...
That is indeed weird. Why is it that as Duke of Iceland, controlling both counties gives me 200-300 troops, whereas giving my son 1 of the counties he can give me 1200? Seems a bit weird...
There's still only one event, at some point after birth, that may change a Humour, IIRC.for starters, as rich pointed out: there are only a couple of humour combinations. there's a bucketful of blood traits.
That was an example of how many may get stacked by the AI after just making them fully congenital on my local game. The AI doesn't know how to do selective breeding, but who knows what'll happen after a century or two. Obviously I could play pokemon with them, but why bother?Where do you get this "8 blood traits" figure from?
You can't check the parents, and assign one or the other's Blood traits, in an event after birth? Or rather, check it cleanly? The humours are assigned randomly, I'm sure you wouldn't want blood traits assigned randomly.
That's not really better at all if I just want to maintain my single line's trait. That's actually more work than playing Pokemon with blood traits...And you don't have to play an unbroken line of men to have a blood trait, you just have to arrange for your gals to marry into some other unbroken line of dudes...
I'm having problems with black faces. I have all DLCs and I've already played ~100 ingame years until the black faces started appearing. At first it's only a few characters on the vassal or invite to plot screen that are missing faces, but as soon as I select one of these characters, all other characters get black faces as well.
Restarting the game fixes the problem for most characters, but some are still affected.
I'm using 0.6g and LIBERT3v10i (started the game with LIBERT3v10e)
you see, each trait would require a specific event written for it. but that's not the problem. the problem are the maintenance events - each event that checks for the (landed) mother's trait (with an unlanded father) and removes the specific father's trait requires a specific event. I'm not sure if it's possible to put a "remove_trait = OR={list of non-mother traits}" in the option, but if it were that would mean at least an extra maintenance event - if it WEREN'T possible, then the required number of events is 63! (63 factorial), or 1.982x10^87.There's still only one event, at some point after birth, that may change a Humour, IIRC.
