Rather than add more events I actually decided to get of my procrastinating behind and fix some of the prereqs on the buildings system. Although I've already lost my enthusiasm for it, I did alter some things - it should be a bit better now.

God this mod looks good. I'm always a big fan of your work, Shay, and as a student of history I think I might also be able to smooth out any rough edges this may have. Thanks mate! I hope you enjoy! Keep in mind it's still 0.1something yet :)) though...so a far way off 1.____. A gazillion things need improvement! Many things bother me greatly for example not having historical characters in dynasties...seeing everyone as ______ I kills me but I don't have the time to add historical characters at the moment. :( Also many things need renaming... I wish someone wanted to rename some baronies for one. BUT having said that I think the mod is great fun to play atm - especially as one of the Hellenistic remnants that get creatable Empires of their own and a Legendary Tradition and so on - like the Seleukidai in Antiocheia.

I've implemented the Norse mod, seems to be working fine... also now Cultural Cities IS implemented as well, not just in theory hehehe. I've been polishing some things, adding dynasty coas etc, then when I can get my mind back to it I'll go back to working on the buildings a bit. Tonight's update should be a good improvement on that aspect - specifically regarding military line of buildings prereqs.

Is there a way to sell buildings? I made the first timer mistake of upgrading all improvements including those relative to autonomous cities and magistrates and, well, my once proud and rich Constantinople (which made about 19,00 Gold) now produces a measly 4.5 with the upgrades :(

I don't think there is a way to sell them. Some things are indeed expensive to implement but when things will be working properly some expensive things will eventually pay off - for example it will be expensive to setup a bureaucracy but that will be counterbalanced by the stuff it unlocks in the buildings tree. (it still works that way now to a large degree only not as well as it should hehe) In any case tonight's update should deal with the buildingsystem a bit. (still a long way off as it should be but better)

I'm happy to say I reworked the buildings prereqs to a large degree. Things should work closer to the way they should in tonight's update.... well if your rulers survive long enough to build anything. :rofl:

Lol! I wish I got a nickname like that, in my Argead test game I'm running on my laptop atm my ruler has every single bad trait you could think of (cruel, possessed etc - he's a catalogue of red traits) yet he's in his 60s, going strong - he just got leprosy too...and he won't die! :p

Yeah, i couldn't get rid of my queen by sending her into battle so i was kind of stuck with her :ninja:, however she managed to found an empire and defeat a crusade so she wasn't all bad.

I'm going to do a bit of minimal testing on the update now, then post it before I go to bed very soon. It features many reworked building prereqs, the integration of the Norse mod, a working Cultural Cities mod, a couple new events, some polish, an added Sol Invictus religion head, and some things I already forgot I fixed or implemented - 40 degrees temperatures > my brain functions. :rofl:

I've posted the update... hopefully it works well. As a disclaimer - I do not know if the Norse mod has any inherent bugs in it - so if you play a Norse noble please tell me if you find any! Also tell me if something needs changing! I've done a mostly "as is" implementation - only done some minimal changes to it such as nerf its 2 buildings.

Tested it, works like magic - it's even savegame-compatible with the previous version!

Only one minor problem I've faced with it - for some weird reason now, my custom country now has a flag different from the one designated to it (it's supposed to read the file "e_nocturnal.tga", saved in 128x128, 24-bit and contains a white skull, but for some reason it just gives a city/fort on a red background)

For a chocolate (since it can't be vanilla since it's a mod :p )-only game, it works perfectly (I even got my son into the völva position :rofl:)

Edit: It's not from your end, it's from me - this idiot here made a typo in the history files :)

Finally got time for the mod, Ill be sure to play Norse and tell you what happens


EDIT: All the Norse heresies don't have the "Ting" building which adds some troops, and there isn't a head of the Norse church and I thought Norse mod adds that.

EDIT: My god they are really hard! My Kingdom of Sweden fell apart right when I Viking'ed

Ah ok... I was thinking it could be from the fact there's new mercenaries added with the Norse mod and maybe they did not have flags... now that I looked at it...they don't seem to? That should affect the other flags I think. I'm going to add flags for them for tonight's update to be sure.

Mmmm, I'll look into the heresies issue. I am not so certain Norse should have a religious head... it's not like a Norse warrior from Ireland would care in the least about what a Norse "priest" would say back in Sweden or so.

If you mean their martial is 2-3, then it's the way CK2 generates skills. I did not add stats to the original hundreds of characters...so barring a couple they all get randomly generated stats and CK2 seems to like generating low stats. You can up your rulers martial skill via events, and other ways... in my last test game one of my rulers had a martial of 20+.

Today I'm going to do something a lot of people don't care about but I do - add CoAs to remaining new dynasties that don't have one. When I'm done with that I'll do something else, unsure yet - most likely I will start by adding some more beneficial events.
