Currently only Syria, but I can create Palmyra and Judea; is there a requirement with the number of kingdom titles that you need to hold? I have been hesitant to create more due to having gavelkind succession at this point, and I would be very ticked off to have half of my kingdoms go independent before I create an empire.


Edit: Just created titles and found it after creating Palmyra and Judea. Sorry for the ignorance.

Actually it was a false alarm, the image was photoshopped off the Legacy of Rome one (you can even see they forgot to change the date).

Richard VanHouten, how did you change the culture file? Manually or some specific program doing it automatically?

Antoninus isn't Anthony, only Antonius - they are not the same name. And links to names doesn't need to be English - they only need to be the same for all connected names. So I really don't understand what devil pushed you to change _Augustin to _Augustine, _Marcus into _Mark, _Lucas to _Luke, or _Bartolomeus to _Bartholomew, especially you made it only for few cultures - rest still have the form I gave as default. Same thing with _Pavlina, there are now two different links: _Pauline and _Paulina.

Inigo was doubled reasonably, as this name might be translated both ways - sui generis between Iberian cultures or as a translation of Ignatius. Same with some other names, mostly Celtic (Welsh, Irish, etc.), e.g. Tadg (that can be translated as Thaddeus, Timothy or treated as native form).

And what's important - while it's true Janusz comes from Jan, though it isn't treated as the same name - that's why I didn't add any link to it.
Radomir is Radomir, Radim is Radim, Ratimir is Ratimir - three different names, only two are connected with similar lexeme Radi-, when Rati- is totally different.

Next thing, why did you delete Ivo? I've added it with reason, as this was name borrowed from German and was quite popular.

And... Gosh, I've looked for that information for long to make sure - Béla is NOT Albert!

...When you did such mess, you could at least ask why I did some things the way I did it. I've spent many free hours I could use for some more important schedules to transfer them to the most actual file you've put in the thread, specially for you and this mod. I couldn't do everything what was to do, but I was getting ready to start again with new release, to speed up with skipped things like Siegfried you asked (BTW, you ignored Dutch and Frisian culture, just like me).

I don't have that time to tell you what is wrong now, but there are plenty more things to do now, not only because of me. I'll start working on it... again. But for the next time, please, at least consult with author, when you're not sure about changes he made.

Manually... which is why it took several days. I thought I'd only changed Antonius links to Anthony. By Paradox convention, English is used for name links where an English equivalent exists. Thought any deletions I made were in the old file, any I didn't copy over from your file were errors of omission, not commission. As for the rest, just didn't go back and catch all the changes I needed to make (though I did catch some missing links from your file in the process.)

Tsar Monarchist, regardless of how accurate you are (and I've not checked the things you dispute) I don't think your tone is appropriate. Mr. VanHouten is pretty much the only reason this mod is still alive and regularly being updated, and he is also very helpful when it comes to general modding issues.

So, by all means take issue with something he's changed if you disagree with it, but I don't think there's any need to be quite so harsh. I very much doubt his motivations were malicious.

I use Notepad++ with Compare plugin downloaded to change files. Always easier while working. And would rather change newer file with some mistakes made in there than modifying older file... again. Waste of time, for you or for me - depending on point of view :p

I know it's Paradox method to use English names as links, but it's really unnecessary.

Accurate I was, right. But as said, I've spent lot of time to make it. And while names are my passion (what means I'm taking it serious), that still was hard work. So that shouldn't be strange I felt not good seeing the mess in the file.

But also, I don't feel I used any inappropriate tone in my post - at least not intentionally. Not being kind and nice doesn't mean I was rude of something. Especially I didn't know it was his or some program's fault.

As a Rhomaion Luwian Despot, I castrated a Rhomaion Luwian doux, and he stayed in office... anyone know what has to be changed (I assume in cultures) to enforce ineligibility to hold a title?

Oh... and I used Winmerge to compare the files, but still made changes manually (either copy and paste a section, or type in manually.)

I'm not sure that's possible. The 'eunuch' trait has the 'cannot_inherit = yes' modifier, meaning (presumably) that any heirs who are castrated are then removed from the succession. For people who are already ruling, though, I can't imagine it would make a difference.

Maybe would need to differ decisions? You know, for non-rulers (any_demense_title, or something like that) it would be kept as now, and for rulers - castrating AND overthrowing them.

So let it be some event chain for Luwian rulers only - you get castrated or blinded, expect people trying to overthrow you.

Hi,

I tried to install this fantastic looking mod earlier, placing it in the Mod folder in the CK document files. When I went to run it, the game would crash before even opening. I then tried to open it with the mod unchecked, and the game would open. I have no othe mods, and use Steam on a Mac: is this the reason it won't work (the Mac, that is) or is it something else? I've tried installing other mods and get the same each time - the qpgame quits before it opens. Am I doomed to never be able to use mods, or can this be fixed at all?

EDIT: Sorry if this has already been asked, but obviously I don't have the time right now to go through 270 odd pages :)
