Regarding female marshals/commanders... I'm thinking of adding a realm law Female Commanders (Forbidden/Allowed) which can be enacted only if there is True Cognatic succession, by a ruler who is female, brave, has a martial education, and perhaps a few other traits and law prerequisites, or religion/cultural restrictions. Female commanders would be permitted for a select few religions (who would not have access to this law) or nations who have enacted this law. Thoughts?
An excellent solution.

Numahr, would you like to integrate duinnin's religion icons into Lux? It would give us a lot more variety.

Female commanders would be permitted for a select few religions (who would not have access to this law) or nations who have enacted this law. Thoughts?

Looks good!
Another idea I may propose is to have a trait (e.g. "general" or "able commander") which allows a person to become marshall or lead armies. The trait should be given to all men with matrial education and/or brave trait and to rulers (perhaps bishops and mayors should be excluded). Furthermore, a woman which is ambitious and brave also has a small chance of receiving this trait (I think of Fulvia as an example).
The trait may be connected to already existing veteran/champion traits thus expanding the sequence a little.

Thank you for the great mod, I'm having a lot of fun with it.

With the 1.08??

In the first post it says that the downloadable is the v0.6c, wich is for the 1.07b patch.
What did i missed?

0.6c will work with the 1.08 executable, there's a few changes I'm making to bring it in line with feature updates in 1.08.

Here is the bloodline trait for Attila-descended characters:
Blood of Attila
This character is a descendant of Attila the Hun, whose empire stretched from the steppes in the East to Germania in the West. Following the death of his brother and co-ruler Bleda, Attila took sole rulership of the Hunnic Empire. In 450 CE, Valentinian IV’s daughter begged Attila to rescue her from an arranged marriage to the Roman-Goth Areobindus. Declaring his dowry to be the Western Empire, Attila invaded Europe a year later resulting in the death of Valentinian IV himself. With the Western Empire stunned, Attila went on to sack many vital Roman towns until Flavius Aetius managed to form a grand coalition to confront Attila at Chalons. Following the shock defeat of Attila and his retreat to back to Pannonia, he began his plans to invade Italia. However his plans did not come to fruition as he died during the consummation of his marriage to the Gothic princess Ildica. Because of this, and the surprise defeat at Chalons, the Germanic vassals of Attila revolted and claimed their own portions of the crumbling empire. Amid the chaos, Attila’s sons Ellac, Dengizich and Ernakh fought for the remains of their father’s empire. Now, the descendents of Attila rule but a fraction of his vast empire, yet the arrival of similar nomadic steppe warriors causes their blood to stir. But will they rise and take back what is rightfully theirs by conquest?

Misspelled "descendant", i've noticed this and other misspellings in descriptions and events.

Hello.

I tried this mod out and it does have a very interesting concept.

However, one very big problem with this mod I see is that everything is so darn fragmented. Maybe that is intended to be changed in the future as the mod grows, but I don't really get that impression. The sheer mish-mash of cultures, religions, and different countries all just pressed together reminds me of someone flicking paint from his brush on a canvas to see the result. The lack of any large countries or established powerbases is sort of disconcerting, and I'm not sure this really lives up to the spirit of the mod. If the premise is that the two 'Empires of Light', then it makes little sense that both Empires have seemingly disintegrated to a 1400's Byzantine Empire-level...

Besides which, there seems to be little natural expansion opportunities. All of the Dacians live in the small country of Dacia. All of the Vlachs live in Tara Romanescu (or whatever the place in Wallachia is called), and there is very little Racial overlap between borders. (Vlachs don't have any special incentive to conquer Dacia because no Vlachs live there, and vice versa). So really, the map is on one hand very fragmented with far too many small nations. On the other, each nation is really its own self contained race, religion, so there is no reason to expand for the purpose of bringing your fellow races/religions under your banner. So I think that it needs a lot of refinement, though the concept is still pretty cool.

I also think it's neat how the Seleucids have endured, though it's pretty hard to imagine that happening given the terrible state they were in when Pompey found them. Maybe one day you'll get around to making up a family tree for them, so instead of Antiochus I, the starting character could be Antiochus the 50th or something, heh.

Maybe one day you'll get around to making up a family tree for them, so instead of Antiochus I, the starting character could be Antiochus the 50th or something, heh.
actually, there's a gigantic timeline in the first few pages that more or less tracks the developments that led to the current timeline in-game.
of course, you'll need at least an hour and several dozen wikipedia tabs to fully keep track of Shaytana's altverse (I admit I stopped at the first century he wrote  )

Comments? (Muslims do not have access to this law; Hubalis and Gurzilis have no need for it.)

- Actually this dynamic solution looks most excellent... :) I would just say consider making it forbidden for christians too, for good measure, or at least for Catholics and maybe Orthodox (OK other Christian faiths could why not accept it by opposition)

- I'll integrate the religious icons, they really look great

- Update ETA tomorrow Saturday: more details on content soon (mostly integration of content created by ColonelWright as I am myself very busy with a RL assignment I have left pending too long...)

Nope, it's supposed to be this way, in short the Roman Empires were much more like loose confederations of kingdoms and tribes.
