Oh, and from your AAR... is it possible to tie blood traits to a dynasty instead of having it be a straight male line only inherited trait? That might also keep some silly things from happening with Matrilineal Marriage and having your dynasty getting some other Bloodline.
I wouldnt see that as silly, a King who carries the shield of his mothers house but is still judged by the blood of his father?
I'd say how it already is is the exact way to keep it.
On Blood Lines, ought there be a couple generic ones that be can added on decision to exceptional rulers and their kids/grandkids who dont have one?
So if you start as a character that doesnt have one, but then have a character who goes from count to emperor or something like that and has alot of prestige and piety in the bank, he can pitch in some prestige or gold to gain a blood trait signifying descent from him.
So you can get the legacy of greatness from something you do rather than something before the game started.
Not sure if itd workly smoothly though.
Maybe two or three of them, each with an accompanying unique nickname so you choose the decision, and get an event offering you the choice of which bloodline to found, and if you pick say, Blood of the Great Lion, then you get the trait and the Great Lion as a nickname so everyone'll know the trait means descended from you.
Probably the AI shouldnt be allowed it though as it couldnt use restraint and hold off until its appropriate story-wise to use it.
In your test game, remember that Christo-Zalmaxian has its SELIN modifiers. In particular, being a martial religion reduces your income. Take the modifiers into account when considering balance, as relatively poor / good performances in some areas are an intended effect of those modifiers.
You might consider boosting health on humour gain, have some more health boosting events that fire for 10-30 year olds, then health damaging events that fire for 50+. Also, increase the mortality rate for ill infants, and bring back stillbirths/miscarriages and deaths in childbirth (having a stillborn child should not be a death sentence for the mother the way it was in CK1, but should increase the chance of the mother's death... breach births are dangerous for mother and child.)
Those steps should bring the mortality curve more back in line with historical norms.
It would be cool if you as a ruler without a dynasty blood trait could actually gain one for your own dynasty if you fulfil certain requirements. It would be like becoming a living legend.
Forget Earthly glory, come back to more holy matters: SELIN modifiers. I am striving to complete them for the middle-east, and I realized that many Islamic faiths are still missing them. So here is the complete list of Islamic faiths with their definitions, for public review before coding (half of them are already coded in, but can be change easily anyway).
"There is no God but Allah,
And Mohammad is His Prophet
And [fill in here you preferred optional heretical third sentence from the drop list, and get your SELIN modifier accordingly!]":

* Tribal is the equivalent of "Barbarian." It is only used as an ascendant here anyway since all Islamic religions belong, by definition, to the Islamic civilization. The only doubt is for Maraboutism: it could be considered as more Tribal than Islamic, what do you think? (call to the masses... and their inspired leader, Shayatana)
Can someone give me some guidance on buildings? As it is I sink most of my money into levy specialization, then walls and administration. As I go I buy prerequisites in education. But.really I'm quite lost.
