This is a small mod - very small, as a matter of fact, less than one Mb when unzipped. It just adds the Empire of Italia to the de jure map.
This was an idea I had for a while: how to put an Empire in Italy, without removing Byzantine claims (at the time waning, but still sort of holding) to Sicily?
This was the solution: Italia starts as de jure restricted to the Kingdom of Italy, but can't be formed without owning the crown of Sicily as well. Formed the Empire, one can wage war on whoever is left; and if and when the control over the Kingdom of Sicily is absolute, down to the last barony, it can be claimed with a decision. I will add more options (like forming the Roman Empire, probably), but for now I hope you will enjoy this tiny thing.
