I have always liked fighting in North America, and the Harry Turtledove mod goes a ways towards that, but i've always liked the idea of the USA having to fight on its own front on its own continent while war raged across the world. Therefore I have created some ideas for building several other American Empires, which i really dont know how to create myself, as modding is not my strength.
What if in the mid-20th century the nations of Central and South America suddenly were inspired with a nationalist fervor for empire-building? Could perhaps Brazil built a communist continent, or maybe Mexico take lands from the United States? This mod, if designed with someone’s help as I am especially bad at modding things, would bring the Second World War to the Americas in full force as western hemisphere nations attempt to match or surpass the United States’ might.
Possible starting events:
Nationalist fervor!- early 1936 (Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, Argentina, Colombia)
A. Time to make an empire!- Gives manpower and moves slider to interventionism
B. This is a passing trend- no effect and deactivates trends
Modernization and Industrialization (to help nations actually fight a decent war)-
A. Military strength must increase!- Free infantry divisions, +IC
B. Civil Industries must develop.- +IC.
C. This is not nessecary.- no effect.
Mexico Pre-War Event Train, if empire choice is selected:
Nationalist Movement gains power through coup!- moves sliders to Paternal Autocrat with high intervention and hawk lobby.
Mexicans in United States-
A. Texas, California, Arizona, and New Mexico are rightfully ours!- national cores are made on all provinces in those states +manpower, lowers relations with US significantly
B. Arizona and New Mexico are rightfully ours- national cores made on those provinces. Lowers relations with US.
C. We need not anger America. +relation with US.
Mexico claims parts of the west (USA if A or B of “Mexican in US”)-
A. Well, it’s not like they can do anything about it- moves slider to isolationism and dove lobby by 1.
B. We should watch the new Mexican leadership carefully- raises intervention by 1.
C. We must prepare for war with Mexico- slides to intervention and hawk lobby by 1
Buy weapons from abroad? (if Mexico not at war with USCA)-
A. Offer to buy from Germany.
B. Offer to buy from USSR.
C. Offer to buy from Japan.
D. We do not need their help.
Germany, USSR, and Japan all have option whether or not to sell, if they do they lower US relationship by 10 or 20, but Mexico gains a few free air and land divisions. Shipments could also come, creating more divisions up to each major nation’s entry into WW2.

Brazilian Civil War- fought between nationalists and communists, unsure of who would control what. Intervention probably would not occur except perhaps on US’s part. Depending on who wins it could go to two different event paths.
Communist Event Train:

A. Brazil is enough, communism will eventually come to the rest.- moves to isolationism.
B. We must unite the continent in socialism!- intervention, manpower increase, rest of event train.
Invite Brazil to commitern? (SOV)
A. Yes, extend a hand to our brothers in America. Lowers relation with US, Brazil joins commitern.
B. Moscow remains the true and sole capitol of communism!
The following Brazil ones could reflect different political viewpoints in creating a Brazilian dominated South America. Some other things i've thought of but really cant pin down to exact ideas:
Mexico unifies Central America, competing with Colombia, who unites northern South America. If Brazil goes commie, Argentina could be their opponent in fighting for ultimate control. Another idea is perhaps a Cuban Caribbean Empire, though i really dont enough about the timeframe to give exact events yet. Any suggestions?
