Yes I suppose I could give the USA a new flag if they take Canada. But can they hold onto Canada? That is the problem, as they are coming up against was was still in 1936 the biggest EMPIRE ever in the world.

I have all the vanilla units and then 63 new units, I think counters will have to do for the moment. I'm just concentrating on doing events for a new start to the mod, something different and to put pressure on the player, a challenge I hope.
well, you always make a great mod. i like the Roosevelts Folly one, just say after it in small letters that the mod used to be called Homeland.

If I remember correctly, they impounded all my uploads of Homeland on the servers, so guys could not download Homeland after that. They wanted $35 dollars for each instance of the uploaded files. I was forced to change the name, or take them to court in California and you can imagine the cost of doing that?
So much for freedom of speech (or modding for fun). Je Suis Homeland!

I have the original Homeland mod as a scenario now. In this scenario, the war has already started between USA and ENG over Canada. I still have some work to do to get it to where I would like it to be.
I have a new scenario now called War Plan Red. Here the war has not started yet, so the US player has a little time to get his armies ready before he sends them north into Canada.
The events will be different from one scenario to the other.
I was thinking I might still call the mod ... "For The Homeland"... I just like the word homeland, just like motherland and fatherland.

Yes, unfortunately here in America certain people have a very strange concept of "Freedom of Speech". They seem to think ONLY they have that freedom and everyone else has to cater to their idea of what freedom should be.
On further thought, even if you changed the name to Roosevelt's Folly, someone else in America would pitch a bitch just cause they think it's their "God given right" to do so.
Here is an idea that even I can't imagine any American nutjob would have an issue with it... Just call the mod "Patricia" then below it on the first page say "the mod formerly known as HOMELAND".
We, mod players of DH would easily understand what the new name is and the idiotic Americans who threatened you with a fictitious Law suit shouldn't have a legal leg to stand on.

Look, I can actually understand why you would want to change the name. Your upload service won't bother fighting DMCA complaints so they'll just lock it out to avoid any trouble, leaving it to you to fight over.

With my return to full time working in RL, I'm going to try to sort out the original Homeland mod first and release that asap.
The issues I have are mostly AI issues 100% related to this "loss of org on movement" change that appeared back in DH1.02. It caused my AI not to work in the way it previously had. Why? Well there is a lot of AI invasions in this mod, and units were arriving on the beaches with little or no org, and being wiped out very quickly.
Now with DH1.04, I'm sure I see a way to fix that in the misc.txt file.
I have already started a 2nd scenario War Plan Red, which will be a different take on the original mod above. But I think I'll repair the original mod first, give you guys something to play, and this will take the urgency away from WPR.

I might yet do this mod for the E3 map. I just need to get used to working with the E3 map and let it become routine.
Are you sure? It's one thing to start a mod in E3, but converting a preexisting one sounds like a rather lot of work.
