OK today I started doing the events for Germany, that's how many months since I started this mod?

So, the first thing I did was delete all the Germany events in DH... Well I got rid of all the USA events the first day I started...
I was planning to have my mod run concurrently with the events in DH, and for many nations they do, but for Germany and USA things will of course be much different; as the USA is in a war when you start the game, and Germany is faced by different if similar problems from 1936 onwards...
First off, there is no Rhineland event, although yes, there is still a Rhineland issue to be solved.
Of course, don't forget that Prussia (East Prussia) is also a demilitarised zone, so a complication in the issues facing Hitler, I'm sure he'll cope?
The BEEF are constantly asking for a preventative war against Germany, but of course Hitler side-steps that issue, exactly the way he faced the same issue with Poland in 1934.
The BEEF are very capable of defeating Germany in 1936-37, so Hitler bides his time. He is building, building building...
Mussolini is his agent provocateur (spelling?) and Spain of course, although Spain is still quite poor in 1936.. not like TODAY!!
Because of the problems Hitler faces, GER's war may not start for quite some time yet.
.. Again, as before, FRA may be alone (after not supporting ENG...), so I think we may have a surprise in store for players, as a momentous event may actually totally change the course in history... I'm only following events to their logical conclusion...
But of course we will have other wars. I expect a Balkan war pretty soon in 1937, to test BEEF, and finally get states "off the fence" in who is supporting who... States in this mod will strictly follow their national interests, as defined by the events and problems they face. So expect something different, logical and better than RL I hope?
How big will the war be? It may just be a border skirmish, or something a little bigger, but definitely not WW2 or anything on a similar scale. FRA will also face problems in North Africa in 1937, so things overall will be hotting... AND THE BEST THING... is that the USA isn't there anymore to come charging to the rescue in the name of defending democracy... Yey!!

He has to attack someone and they may as well be his nearest and dearest neighbours than anyone else.. eh? I'm at Austrian Anchluss. This is the very first action that Hitler takes in my mod.
All Facts:

is the Monarch of Britain George VI? if so then Britain should just sit quietly and say it is recovering from the USA/British war.
'That thing that should not be mentioned' was one reason why Britain intervened, also because of the German hostility from 1933-1939 towards peaceful countries, Britain should remain on the fence like IRL...
If Edward VIII is on the throne then by all means make Britain support Germany, he was a Nazi sympathiser anyway

An extremely serious situation has developed in Europe.
Just after Britain and France had put so much diplomatic effort into solving/deflecting the claims made by Italy and Spain.
An Anchluss of Austria was heaped upon Germany, who had no choice but to take over the country... As well as being pretty much told to do so by Chamberlain... so no hassle there for GER.
Immediately BEEF declared war on Hungary, the gap in their security barrier against Germany, and a too-uncertain place to not have within the BEEF envelope... So they went to war and annexed Hungary.
Goodbye Hungary.
Now Germany is threatened by the BEEF states, and has to defend its borders in the Rhineland and Prussia (both demilitarised zones).

this latest post makes it look like you've put Britain 'back in the sun' like it was before ww1, this means that every nation wanting anything has to do it through Britain or with it's permission
I like Hungary and would probably have a game with it on this mod, could there be an option of Hungary appealing to Germany for a direct military alliance in this situation, They could regain all of the lands that they had back before it joined Austria(bear in mind that they will be claims with integration later (Transylvania excluded it should be mixed) ).

Why hasn't the Soviet union said anything at this point? Stalin was very upset that he wasn't included in the Treaty of Munich in OTL and that was one of some reasons of why he helped Hitler annex Poland in OTL.
In this mod the Soviets could protect BEEF, go on a crusade to gain friends both peacefully and militarily to counter the British/German friendship or simply try to befriend Hitler by attacking BEEF under a similar agreement as the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.

Hi razorbird789: Yes, Great Britain is great again, as the USA has been defeated by (JAP/ENG/FRA(maybe)/MEX/CAN/Brit Commonwealth countries). So, basically it has to re-assume its mantle as The Power in the World, although JAP would be on a par with them? Although the Brit navy suffered enormously in the American war, whatever ships were left for the USA were handed over to the Brits as reparations. Chamberlain is very busy at this time, doing all the stuff we are familiar with. I'm taking my events directly from a history book, but I may give it a believable twist to suit my storyline.
For the moment, I'm only doing events one way, or if very convenient, I may quickly do other choices, I intend to go back over the events and build in more choices.
The Soviets are backing the BEEF states fully. They see them as a buffer against the West. But the BEEF have gone too war with Hungary... Why?
... well Hungary was the only east european country not in BEEF.
.. It was friendly to GER
... Its position on the map, with Austria gone, left a gap in the "wall" against GER, it had to be dealt with.. although BEEF is a defensive alliance, CZE, ROM, POL, and YUG all invaded it, and Hungary was split up between YUG, CZE and ROM.
.. It suits my storyline now that BEEF have done this, as now, GER is threatened by BEEF, GER is the injured party.. a twist to the RL story.
What happens next, I haven't had time (MDS2DH modding) to think about it.... :rofl:
In the mod there is a lot of politics reflecting the goings-on at the time, with the western states constantly trying to out-do eachother.
Post Hungary.................
GER has 2 demilitarised areas, Rhineland and Prussia, with Prussia inside Poland basically.
GER hasn't put a single foot wrong or behaved aggressively in any way whatsoever, as before Anchluss, Chamberlain told them to go ahead and annex Austria. He justs wants the unpleasantness out of the way, so he can get back to his major project, solving Hitler's claims and achieving peace in our time...

For Prussia is hesitates, as if it goes ahead, then very likely the BEEF states will attack GER?, or at least possibly annex Prussia as well?
ENG has a dilema to solve. BEEF states have been openly aggressive in Europe. Aggression cannot be rewarded, else mayhem will ensue. International law has to be obeyed... (heard this recently... ?)
.. I think ENG will have to get BEEF to put humpty-dumpty back together again.. bring Hungary back! It may mean threatening war against BEEF?

Way too Americany. As Homeland, imo, has moved from the American theatre to a globe-sprawling adventure, I'd prod for a more global theme, like the ones with the photos.
i agree, an American may feel patriotic about defending America, but this war is justifiable in any cause by any participant

... I tried earlier to use the video image (as yours) but it was way too out-of-focus to use when I enlarged it to 1024 x 768. I'll incorporate your image into mine, if that's ok.. AND I'm minimising Hitler, as after further reading, I think Chamberlain was far more responsible for the war than anyone else... as he seemed to panic in early 1939 and started guaranteeing all kinds of countries...
With RDD option closed: I was running out of steam (ideas) on this mod, maybe I just need to take a day off and recharge my batteries... Cheers for the encouragement!

looks quite good, perhaps it's just me but i don't like the American flag on it, this mod at the moment is focused on Britain and thus the flag should be the Union Jack
