Wow this is a fantastic mod! I would help if only I had any modding ability. But best of luck to ye, What would you say is the %done?

It's hard to say...

I just joined the team recently, and it IS actually "playable" right now. The lands are set up, the cultures are there, many portraits are there, and a lot of custom traits and such.

What's needed are a lot of gameplay and flavor stuff, plus a pretty large work in adding the new charlemagne features where appropriate.

If we had a team of 4-5 people working 8 hours a day I'd say "a week or three" ;)

With an all-volunteer effort like this, however, and many of us also working on other modding projects... it's hard to say :p

I've had to spend much of my modding time lately getting my own Birthright mod up to CM standards/compatibility, but I'll get back to working on Warhammer stuff soon of course.

It's hard to say...

Understood. Wish I could help but like I said I dont have any modding experience. If you have any areas that specifically need help I could help come up with ideas though.

Are you still accepting people to help out with lore?

At this point, not really. We've got the lore down for the most a part (do in no small part having a giant WFRP and WFB book collection). At this point we need scripters and artists, though we can fudge it without the artists.

Skaven won't be playable in the first release, and it hard to say for certain if they ever will be. The Underempire is particularly hard to represent in CKII without serious hacks and compromises. I'd like to have them playable but I want to make sure they're done right.

NPCs would be revolt like events, "An army of hideous ratmen has appeared from the sewers in (county)", and then a stack of X skaven units led by Y appears in (county) and a war begins. Of course a player can create a skaven character anywhere.

Ah I get it now. Yeah, rebel stacks from different non-playable races should happen. Ruler designer could work but might have weird implication. Imagine if you used the ruler designer to make Karl Franz a skaven?

Well having Malal be in the files but not atually in-game would certainly be a faithfull representation. :laugh:

Malal could be a nice factor for breaking chaos blobs and doing to them what they do to Empire :)

The problem is that the Chaos Gods don't need a malal to tear each others apart, they allready do it on their own. The realms of Chaos should only be able to blob under the influence of an Everchosen and fragment back again after he die. Malal was a silly concept that did not really make sense from the very start and was promptly shelved indefinilty, for multiples reasons.

Honestly I wouldn't mind malal as long as he is the equivalent of the Hellenic religion in vanilla Ck2. It's there in ruler designer if you want to mess with it, but really does not have any place in the picture anymore.

Then again this is my own opinion and the MOD team will do as they see fit. There are way worses things than malal lurking in the forgotten depths of the lore...
