Aztec reptile-warriors lead by magical toad-mages aren't wacky enough for Sunset Invasion? The Lizardmen wouldn't be wacky enough to call it a Sunset Invasion. The invaders would need to be the Imperium of Man or something else completely anachronic.
They also have lazers, spaceships and a galaxy of troops. Using them would be like having Klingons or the Borg invade earth during the Thirty Years' War for a 'wacky' DLC. It's way too far out-there. Lizardmen exist in the Warhammer Fantasy universe, are clearly influenced by Mesoamerican cultures and are generally the best-suited Aztec expies within the established universe. In the context of the Warhammer Fantasy world, no. A space xenophobic anthropocentric neo-feudal Roman Empire invading it is much more wacky.
Make all the 'female' orcs look exactly the same as male orcs, use the male orcish nameset for females, make all orcish succession absolute cognatic (since we'd be pretending the female orcs are still basically male), and disable all "My wife is pregnant!" notification events (but still keeping pregnancy itself for the sake of reproduction)?I have to ask; are orcs going to be playable? Also how will they be represented given that they are technically fungi? Will you ignore the weird reproductive system for the sake of gameplay or will you do something else (killing off all female orcs or making 'female orcs' into goblins perhaps).
Couldn't that itself throw the vote? I was going to cast a vote for A before I saw the question come up, went back and realized that B was the first listed option.Hehe, I know, it s confusing, but I did it cause I didn't want my own preferences to be on top which might bias the vote, so I switched them around once I realised that it might have been perceived as biased![]()
Thank you, if there's some problem, feel free to report it and I'll try and fix it.That's awesome!!! I'll look into adding it when I get home tonight.
That is tempting. The problem is not as much of willingness as it is of free time, sadly.Also... Any chance you'd be willing to do other portrait work for us? I could bribe you with access to the mod...
On a side note, those portraits are awesome, but do Druchii have that purplish skin? I always thought Elves looks almost the same no matter what subspecies they belong to.
Skaven are my favourite, I wouldn't mind drawing them, but for what I've read and seen, both them and lizardmen are not among the factions developed by the modders right now.Would you mind drawing Skavens or even lizardmen? Those are vital for making Lustria a fun place to play.
There's also an additional problem for portraits of Skaven, Kurgan and others for what concerns the attire, as the difference would be greater depending on which Clan/Chaos God the character belongs to rather than between a King-tier and a Count-tier.There's no custom mechanics for those two races atm. But Lustria was re-worked recently and we need to put something reasonable there. But you are right, races that already have custom flavor content created should be prioritized.
Read my mind, I was just writing it in an mp.I'd say greenskins would maybe be a good choice after the elves are in order.
I have something a little different in mind, but I don't want to hype needlessly before I've tried it myself.A special crown for Malekith could be cool too.
Well, the Skyre should be more steampunk too, but it's a problem for later on, I'd prefer to focus first on the current priorities.Although really the big clothing difference is only for Clan Eshin and Clan Pestilens and the associated warlord clans. Clan Moulder and Clan Skyre could get by with regular skaven stuff.
Fact is the design already in place for the Emperor-tier druchii is already the one used for Malekith in canon material, the pointy helm cannot really be represented properly with so little space..A special crown for Malekith could be cool too.
Also, shoudn't the Dark Elves need to defend from the hordes coming down from north as well? The Asur are relatively more sheltered, whereas Naggaroth is directly below the Chaos Wasteland. If you've read the Malus Darkblade books, you'd see just how often the dark elves kill each other, not to mention slaves/humans/elves etc in battles abroad and at home. I figured that if that was how often dark elves die in their culture, they would have died out centuries ago unless they had a positive birthrate. The Malus Darkblade books also mention very large families; for example Malus has 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
