Hello all,

so, I was obsessed with this game up until the release of winter DLC.. for some reason I thought that the DLC was going to have a real winter season instead of the option to play a winter map (my fault).
And yet, the disappointment turned me off hard enough that I haven't come back since... I can't find any mods that seem to do this, but as a last effort - is anyone aware of anything like this?

To the devs.... any chance this will be a thing some day?

They have said no. That was the last I heard. Of course I can't speak for them or rule out them changing their minds on the subject.

I don't think it is as simple a change as we might think. Though certainly not impossible.

We can wait and see if they have anything new to say about it.

Yes, we did try to make seasons but the development has multiple issues why it will not happen for Cities: Skylines I'm afraid.

Thanks for the confirmation. Now I can bookmark it so when it gets asked again tomorrow then I can post an official answer. lol

Reactions:
Is it something that makes it entirely impossible or just too difficult to do?

In software nothing is really "entirely impossible". And saying that something is "just too difficult" is probably not accurate. Difficulty doesn't say how much work there is.
Usually, the word "feasible" is used. I.e. "we won't do it because, while it would work, it would be ugly and make things worse for everyone.". Or, more likely in this case, "we would have to rewrite a metric craptone of code."
