Regarding the kingdom of Naples, why not add Greek culture as a condition. Another culture could be Frankish; IRL the Capetian house of Anjou, with Charles d'Anjou, the conqueror of Sicily and later first king of Naples, had Frankish culture.

Good ideas, done!

I'm not so sure about the kingdom of Yougoslavia...It's not really a kingdom since it resulted from an union between the crown of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Could be an idea for the formation of an empire, but i don't think it brings so much to the game.

With its' current location it will only really ever get made by the player. It would have to be one incredible fluke of chance for the AI to make it and only really serves as an interesting player venue option more than anything.

New Version is out!
Version 1.17 said:
  • Bypassed the Dynastic naming system for specific titles that Muslims can make (i.e. Oman, Jordan etc.)
  • Changed the CoA for the Kingdom of Wales (as well as its' map colour)

Sweet Vanilla v1.17

I do think an Italian or Sicilian should also be able to form Trinacria.

I'll add that onto the reqs. This was mostly from back when I had very specific culture reqs so as to not overload the player with about 12 creatable titles of no interest necessarily for a play in the Italian Peninsula. Since then I've found another way to do so. That will be for next version though

Great mod!

I can't seem to figure out how to create the Kingdom of Asturias, though. Do I need to start a new game for the mod to work or will it work with an existing save file?

Edit: I'm using the vanilla version of the mod, by the way.

You can always press "F" in game and type in the name of the kingdom to see its' requirements. For example pressing "F" and then typing into the text box that appears "Asturias" would give you this:

ck2_19.jpg

Then by hovering over the "Create" after clicking on the title you are looking for in the box, you will get this.

ck2_20.jpg

So in this case you must be of Castillan or Basque culture, be a Christian, have 200 piety and not already be a king or emperor and hold the county of Asturias de Oviedo to create the Kingdom of Asturias (on top of the default requirement of having at least 2 duchies as well)

Thanks for asking the question as you motivated me to make a picture guide on the front page (something I've been wanting to do for a while) :)

You should be able to use this mod in an already ongoing no problem, as long as you follow these steps as well:
  • 1. Load up into your save
  • 2. Save as soon as your are loaded in
  • 3. Exit the game
  • 4. Load up your new save and continue playing

With the new destroy title mechanic in the game, I am considering making it so you can make a titular title if you have only 1 king title if you want to switch your primary to that instead. Any thoughts on that, or keep it as it is?

I like the 1 King title idea a lot!! It would allow us to create a Kingdom to simply play more realistically then holding on to a ton of Duchies so you can make that ONE titular title you want. BTW as the Great Duchy of Tuscany I can still form Sardinia, Naples, and Trinacria...is this intended? Cause if it is I'm all in favor of that as I like to Grant Sardinia to a loyal vassal in the Empire. Plus who doesn't like racking up massive awe inspiring thirty minute long title introductions ;)

It was an oversight that I have since corrected in the upcoming version... which is now delayed as I add the 1 kingdom allowance (not too much though) :)

New Version is out!

Version 1.18 said:
  • Updated to be compatible with CK2+ 1.22
  • Removed most of the requirements for all titular kingdoms. The majority of titles now require that you are not an emperor, or have less than 2 king titles. Some kingdoms have retained a portion of their restrictions however.
  • The Serene Republics can be usurped by non-republics once they become non-titular and you have claimed enough of their land.

CK2+ 1.22 compatible: Vanilla Plus v1.18
Base Compatible 1.06: Sweet Vanilla v1.18

You can make most of the titular kingdoms in this mod if you hold no more than 1 other kingdom. So for example, if you are the King of Sicily, you can also make yourself be the King of Naples or the King of Trinacria, but not both.

Very few do not follow this rule. For example the Nordic ones in the British Isles do not, as they are meant to replace those ones as a what if the Vikings completely took over type scenario. The Saxon heptarchy retains its' old restrictions of Saxon only and not King of England.

Ahh ok gotcha so you're limited to only ONE titular title in addition to your main title? Does this count titles that were de Jure that then become titular?

Afaik there'd be no way to distinguish like that, so yes you can have 1 titular and one landed or 2 titular. Doesn't factor in whether or not it has land. The best I could do is check someone's primary title if it is titular or not, but that's about it.

Yeah, it's to limit a player to choosing one titular title without having a bunch of titular titles forever hanging in the "Title Can be Created" widget. In the case of Saxon England for example, you would see about 8 extra king titles for the rest of the game without it. You can have as many landed king titles as you want, it will just stop you from making titular ones.

Ah I can see that for those regions. Although I would argue it makes less sense in other areas of the globe but either way the extra titles add to the fun of the game :)

Edit: I should clarify what I mean, I like to unite Italy into one kingdom which then makes Lombardy and Sicily titular titles that I like to make after incorporating the entire peninsula for historical flavor. Plus Sardinia is fun to give to an heir after forming Roma. However, titles that were de Jure that then become titular should be formable because I believe they lack the line about whether or not you have a king or emperor level title.
