But with the character editor DLC you could alter that, no?

Re. the Vampire thing, should their not be a trait for people who are vampires but hidden, but if they rule for too long they are found out, and vassels and others get a CB on them? Or are vampires a culture group?

So everyone should automatically hate vampires? Afterall the most powerful vampires in elder scrolls dont feed at all. Therefore they are no nuisance. A -20 or a -30 relation debuff would suffice in my opinion.

They are feared, not hated.

There are three stages to Vampirism;

  1. Porphyric Hemophilia
    After contracting the vampirism disease.

  2. Secret Vampire
Actual vampirism. Gives some stat bonuses and immortality.

    [*]Known Vampire
Gives similar bonuses but also gives a major diplomacy penalty

We would love a way to make it so Secret Vampire is invisible to everyone except the character, but that's impossible unfortunately.

Fair enough, although is there some way of giving people CBs on Known Vampires? If a Vampire became High king in skyrim, outside forces should be able to oust them, similar to depose CB.

BTW will Tiber Septim get an event giving him a claim on the Empire? Or a Dragonborn trait?

This is just speculation, but you could give vampires a plot to try and infect nobles in their realm with Vampirism, canceling out diplomatic problems when they are found out (If you make vampires like each other slightly.), but with a chance they will be unmasked themselves.

As I've told Korba, having it secret is entirely possible: Just don't define a trait icon and it will not show up. And as long as you don't code any opinion modifiers, AI characters will act as though they don't know about it.

Yes maybe I wasn't so clear about it; with that method, the trait will be invisible to the character himself as well.

Indeed, however isn't the dawnguard only in skyrim?

And a possablity (50%) to cure it before it becomes fully fledged vampirism.

One thing you could do is add some kind of "Strange person" trait. The bonuses would differ depending on why this person is strange (Is he a secret vampire? Is he crazy? A werewolf? Just a bit eccentric or misunderstood?). The player himself would, of course, have a few events that tell him why he is considered strange, while other players (In multiplayer) could not be entirely sure. Although they might suspect something if you live forever. :p

Will there be [Daedric] invasions, by the way? Having Mehrunes Dagon trying to invade now and then could make for a great story... And the Akaviri arriving would also be pretty damn awesome.

Both are a possibility, the former is a definite, it's something we'd already been discussing, the latter, Akaviri invasion, won't at least be included in the beta. Expanding the map to include the western coast of Akavir and potential Akaviri invasions is something that has also been discussed but is pretty low on the priority list.

I like your strange person trait idea ;)
