Can you give us some more details? What exactly doesn't work? Have you installed into the correct directory (through My Documents)? Have you installed the hotfix? Have you de-activated all the other mods?

I'm new with mods and this is my first one. I installed in the correct directory but it never shows up when i start the game in the box where you can check it to activate it. I am not familiar with the hotfix.

I unzipped everything correctly and overwrote the hotfix file in the elder kings folder, the mod option checkbox pops up but when I start the game I keep getting a runtime error.

Love the mod. Glad it's finally been released, although there are still many children ilnesses that I hope will be resolved in the near future.
I started playing with the Greymane's. I noticed that my income is 0. I searched a bit in this thread and found that it was done because the world is sparcely populated. But an income of 0 is too hars for a count with a demesne of 3.

I also would like to request a FAQ that deals with questions that have arised after the release of this mod asap so that common problems and questions can be looked up that deal with the gameplay of the mod.

It's because he shouldn't be the religious head. He isn't even the chief amongst the Tribunal gods (Remember? they're a "balanced" warrior-mage-thief trinity). The chief of the priesthood is the Archcannon of the Temple.
Well thinking about even more, (I don't know why I'm still thinking about it, probably coffe) if the heart of the Tribunal temple wasn't in Vivec with Vivec. Wouldn't the mod already represent Mournhold and Almalexia more, seeing how she technically is the true leader of the tribunal. Of course the mod isn't nearly finished so maybe something like that was planned.

Could be you're missing Legacy of Rome, there's a compat patch in the first post or, if you have the GamersGate version of CK2 you could get the DLC cheap now in the sale. All the other DLC is on sale for the GamersGate version right now for that matter.


Bad news by the way, there's a CTD in the mod that hit's around 3410-3450. We currently have no idea what's causing it, and until it's fixed I'm dubious on releasing a new version.

Those map objects fails to load when you start the game, I don't think they are the cause. My game started ctd frequently for me after mid to late 35th century. The crashes in my case almost always happens during the 13th or the 29th with a few months apart at most which makes me belive that it must be an event or decision that is either broken or that it simply overload the game for one reason or another. Sorry that I can't be more helpful.


Edit: Two things that came to mind that could potentially cause instability could be the fact that there many titles that lack flags alltogether and the way the atmoran wasteland is presented (That it is filled with empty holdings which doesn't exist in game otherwise, rather than being counted as a wasteland).

Survey province, or battle. Given, the chances are really really low, and you might get a crappy artifact instead of a good one.

Since it doesn't seem quite certain that the patch is coming tomorrow, I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me a way to change the current method of education back to vanilla. The current system bugs me a bit, as it just annoys me that a person I send to be educated for intrigue comes back as a barbarian. So what files need to be changed to restore the vanilla education method or is it not that simple?

I don't think it's even very realistic for the Elder Scrolls universe, any lord's son probably wouldn't receive their education at the fighter's guild.

Maybe in Skyrim and Hammerfell. Mage's Guild, Bard's Collage, or Morag Tong, on the other hand, are far more possible. I really don't see anyone sending their kids off to the Thief's Guild. Not by choice, anyway.

I dont mind the current system, if it worked as intended. But it doesnt, so I'd like to use the vanilla method until it does.

Whats the deal with atmoran wasteland? Is it supposed to be a playable region in the future? I thought it was that -a wasteland.
It's going to be colonisable in future versions.

I dont mind the current system, if it worked as intended. But it doesnt, so I'd like to use the vanilla method until it does.

It's being fine-tuned next patch to my knowledge. I haven't had any problems play-testing it.

Yes, fine tuned in future versions and whatnot is great and all, and I'm looking forward to it. However, Korbah's last post said that a patch is looking unlikely until an issue is resolved. Therefore, I want to use the vanilla system now, and am lookign to see how to temporarily replace the current one.

Could be you're missing Legacy of Rome, there's a compat patch in the first post or, if you have the GamersGate version of CK2 you could get the DLC cheap now in the sale. All the other DLC is on sale for the GamersGate version right now for that matter.


Bad news by the way, there's a CTD in the mod that hit's around 3410-3450. We currently have no idea what's causing it, and until it's fixed I'm dubious on releasing a new version.
I think it may be related to the following errors in the log (since other than some localisation and vanilla errors there isn't a whole lot wrong in the mod anymore, at least that we can all spot);

If any body has any ideas on how to fix these, please let me know, I've tried removing entire chunks of the mod to get rid of them but they just won't disappear!

if i were you id start by cleaning all the broken events and baronies being called "b_something" instead of something and same with dynasties, to make sure they are not the cause
