I was playing as King of Markarth and had taken over the Kingdom with all the Hagraven Cults. Then I started getting an event where some Dunmer Arch-Priest kept telling me to convert my heretical provinces.
I don't know why some dark elf would care that a Daedra worshipping kingdom with no relation to him had heretics in it.

Also about a week after I started the game I got an event telling me my son had run away to get educated. I had never had the option to educate him in the first place. But then I looked at his character and it said he was still in Markath and he had no guardian. This event kept popping up until my son was 16. And he was still just sitting in Markath.

Then my daughter ran off and somehow became a bosmer culture battlemage

That's...odd o_O We know about the problem with wrong religious heads nagging people, but I don't know why you'd keep getting events about your kid running off.

Also, how'd she become Bosmer culture? I could've sworn that culture conversion via guardians got nerfed into the ground.

When loading up any nation my game crashes, what could cause this?

Do you have the mod installed in documents/paradox interactive/crusader kings ii/mod? If so, do you have the hotfix installed? Also, do you have Legacy of Rome? If not, do you have the non-Legacy of Rome patch installed?

Hm. I'm playing as the small duchy just north of the K. of Anvil, the duchy of Sutch. I've read that there is a "conquest" CB in the game, and that you should be able to declare war on anyone who is not of your culture or religion. Could one of the devs or someone else be kind enough as to explain exactly how this works? Because I seem unable to declare war on my dear redguard brothers to the north. :)

It means humans can attack elves but not other humans.
Elves can attack other races but not other elves.

edit

I also thought you could attack other humans of a different religion, so I don't know if not being able to is working as intended.

Okhay now I cant even start the mod. Is it because I have ck2 on another hard drive?

CKII should just be installed in the steam directory as it was when you first downloaded the mod. For me this is: D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings II
Then the mod should be installed in the following directory: C:\Users\EnterYourNameHere\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod

There should be no problem with having CKII on another hard drive, I will have download and installed the mod in five more minutes so I'll edit after that as well.

Edit: Works perfect.

IIRC you need either ambitious, ruthless, envious, tyrant, greedy, wroth or reckless as well.

I'm not sure how she became Bosmer. She just ran off and when she turned up again she was Bosmer.

Hm. I'm not sure, that sounds...strange. Gimmie some time and I'll see if I can replicate it.

Edit: Picked the king of Cathnoquey and ran for about a year, only got the event to give me my sign. Did you ruler design?

Nope, just gave a duchy-level fief to the mayor of Sassari (yep, some names remained vanilla. Sassari is a Sardinian city.
Still a nice surprise, tho) and reloaded the game as him, no ruler designer.
This is what sprays up Senza nome.png

I have quite a few curiosities below! Please help and answer them :).

1. How does one join the Tsaesci court?

2. Also, why do the small islands in this game, like the one off the coast of Daggerfall, or the ones of the Yokudans in the west, have their last building barony spot blocked? Its there, but its uncheckable. Like the island of Betony, and all the islands in the kingdom of Yokuda, you cannot build the last settlement. Same thing for a few islands in the Duchy of The Chain off the coast of Hammerfell.

How can I fix this? Adding an extra settlement slot doesn't work, because it seems it still won't build on the blocked settlement spot.

3. When you create the High Kingdom of Hammerfell, the Duchy of Totambu does not port over, it remains part of the Kingdom of Sentinel, being the only zone not porting to the High Kingdom of Hammerfell.

4. In the Duchy of Gilane, County of Gilane, in the Hammerfell province, if you build a Temple, it's name will be Al'ain and you won't be able to do anything with it. It will be yours, but you won't be able to give it away or build anything in it. These orders do not register. When clicking on its banner to take you to its location it sends you to the County of Taneth in the Duchy of Taneth nearby. If you save the game, then reload, the Temple of Al'ain will disappear as if it was never built.

5. Same thing as above with a city in High Rock, can't remember which, and can't find it without starting the whole conquering anew.

6. In the County of Hastrel, Duchy of Sutch, in the Kingdom of Anvil, if you build a city, it will force its owner to make that city capital of the province and force that character to become a Republic, but it will be stuck at making the 5 families. Instead 5 flags will keep appearing for a brief second in a infinite loop, while the interface changes to Republic, and the 5 families tab is empty, no families in. You can give the province away, but it will turn the new owner into a Republic, and repeat the infinite loop of the appearing flags and no creation of the 5 families.

7. How do I help out by fixing the names on the many baronies still appearing as "b_name"?

8. Does Ruler Designer not work with the second scenario? No counts or dukes have the circle around their portrait, but you can use RD on them. But once you press play you end up with the original character of the county or duchy, as if RD never did work.

I noticed this in your screenshot after going through the flag files for a bit and it's happening in my game, too, Daggerfall isn't using the k_daggerfall flag, and a good portion of the flags are mismatched and there are a lot of blank flags, though I don't know if they just don't exist or are being caused by the flag replacements.
