Alright, so I've been messing with the portrait file, so Dunmer girls now have clothes on, Argonians of both genders use the same portraits, Maormer and Atlmer use reconfigured versions of the Bosmer female faces and etc [i.e. i cant remember if theres anything else].
Anyway its an affiliation alteration to the mod and done with no actual knowledge of how portraits work just copying and pasting bits of the file to other bits.
But seeing as how the old version was download over thirty times, heres the new one.
It's only be a tiny bit tested but seeing as its purely cosmetic nothing bad ought to happen. Most female nords/bretons seem to have hats on but i don't remember if that was true before i starting messing about or not.

The file goes into the mods interface folder mod\ElderKings\interface\



EDIT: not in the file, but ive just tested orc male faces with female hair and it kind of works atleast for the meantime.

Yeah I think most Nedic women already wore some sort of headgear.

Ah okay, thanks. However, when I try to run the mod, (which includes 0.1, the hotfix and the non-Legacy of Rome patch) apparently the CK2 executable file terminates in an unusual way and experiences a runtime error. Is there something wrong on my part or..?
Are you installing the mod in the documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/mod folder?

Just to mention, I've also had quite a few problems in some saves with crashes shortly after loading, and other than that the game runs fine (usually working after a few tries or reloading an earlier save). It's rare, but not due to wrong installation.

So I can load the game fine, and I don't get lag, and I can play for as long as I want and save with no problems, but the game freezes and eventually crashes to desktop whenever I try and load a game from a previous session...

Any thoughts on what the issue might be? All DLC except for SI and the Mediterranean facepack is installed, comp is Win7, mod unpacked to the appropriate directory in My Documents and I do have the hotfix.

The AI will but it has different requirements and from what i can tell, High Kingdoms are permanent and dont change once made

Well when I created Skyrim my 3 held kingdom titles became de jure Skyrim while the remaining kingdoms stayed de jure in their own areas. I also got a unify Skyrim CB that let me take entire duchies with a 10 year truce period.

My question is how to expand beyond your high kingdom. For instance now that I have most of Skyrim, still missing the duchy of Solitude, I want to expand into High Rock or Hammerfell but don't have any CB's and I don't want to create a bunch of claims because I want to keep the local lords in charge just under myself.
