What is the reasoning behind using guild leaders for guardians? There isn't really any basis for this in TES lore and the system is really annoying in some scenarios. Having to repeatedly assassinate guardians because the regent thinks my boy-king should be a thief is both boring and ridiculous.

This, vanilla's mechanics for guardians are much better imo.

Once there are maintenance events to make sure the guild leaders get the right education traits themselves or whatever theyre planning to fix the randomness issue, it'll work brilliantly and be better than CK2s system, the only issue at the moment is that the mod is only in its first release so most things aren't finished yet.

As long as we get the option to allow the king to educate his own son I'm happy.

That doesn't address the fact that landed aristocrats and their heirs training with guilds is completely at odds with TES lore. The system in vanilla seems more appropriate.

I've been having trouble with Skyrim. I form the High Kingdom of Skyrim, but when I reunite all the petty kingdoms, they don't automatically form into superholds, and stay de jure separate kingdoms. And am I supposed to receive the jagged crown trait? I see it in the files but it doesn't occur.

Also, what happened to atmora? How do you colonize it?

Methinks Elder Kings needs a bug report thread. Every time I post my question, it gets buried by another page.
judging by how a new post seems to crop up every 5~10 minutes (as gamma noted, 30+ pages in 36 hours, and since each page has twenty comments, that's 600 posts in 36 hours )

And about half of them on exactly the same problems as each other too. A Bug Report thread would seriously be good for me as a thread reader, but who knows if itd help the mod devs on the mod devs side of thing, i mean itd mean having two threads to have to read.

It's in the mod folder in Steam.

As the instructions to this, and all other current mods says, it has to be installing into documents.
Its the only installation instruction even

I just started a game as Tacitan of the Colvian Estates. After about 10 years of playing, all of a sudden about 20 event windows popped up about me having illegitimate children. Now I have tonnes of bastard children, my wife hates me, and all my legitimate children died at the same time. I must have been very busy. I never got any events asking if I want to have an affair, let alone 20!

You should download the Hotfix, it fixes the Bastard issue.
