This is funny, I work on my side to a total reconversion of DH for a mod starting in 1287... and I had the same idea for using air unit as agent (spy and assassin). For spy I planned to increase duration of air mission and put ground attack to 0 so their goal will be to give vision on ennemy units without interruption (no coming back to airbase)... In your mod you want to make airbase as economical center but how will you represent it in terms of gameplay ? What will be the economical impact of destroying these airbases ?
I didn't know when to end my mod but I guess I'll try to make it until 1750 so we will have a good timeline ! Good luck for modding !

Ok I have next times for Poland-Lithuania - now times of Stanisław August Poniatowski
07.09.1764 – election (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish–Lithuanian_royal_election,_1764), which took place with russian army, so election other king lead to war with Russia
In Poland was two grand parties:
- conservatives (named Republikańci) – in foreign policy they (until 1763/1764) based on Prusia, Turkey, France and Sweden, after 1763/1764 on France, Spain and Turkey (until 1772)
- liberals/supporters reforms (named Familia) – in foreign policy they (until 1763/1764) based on Austria and Russia, after 1763/1764 on Russia, UK, Denmark, Sweden and also Prussia (until 1772)
They are a strong power to change polish system – the first wanted status quo, the second reforms even in partial dependence to Russia. The first wanted even republican system and wanted to found Prowincje Niepodległe i Zjednoczone Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej (Independend and United Provinces of Republic of Poland). The second wanted strong king power, country reforms (agraric, law, science, military and so on.).
Possible events for Stanisław August Poniatowski:
- conservatives (Republikańci) resistance
- 1760-1763 – Stanisław Konarski published O skutecznym rad sposobie (About effective proceedings way) – it was against liberum veto and called to reform Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, in game may positive affect in reforms
- false coins from Dresden and Lepizig (after conquer these cities by Prussia it started knock out false polish coins)
- Sejm 1764 – first series of events
I think, that suppression these revolts may lead to better future for Poland (for example direct to Sejm 1773-1775, but earlier and without limiation of king power), cause these revolts in real led to second series of events:
- Sejm in 1764 led to unifrom tariff, abolition of liberum veto, creation fiscal and military commision (de facto government) and so on, i. e. unifcitation of measures and wieghts (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convocation_Sejm_(1764))
- Formation of Gabinet Królewski (de facto Ministry of Foreign Affairs) – chief: Jacek Ogrodzki https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacek_Ogrodzki
- Postal reformation (could be conect with your airport-trade system)
- 1769 – proposition forming KEN (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commission_of_National_Education)
- 1765 – polish newspaper Monitor, which was contected with Familia party – it could influence in next reforms
- 1768 – law reform (lords can’t punish death their peasants)
- Republikańci party rebel
- king Stanisław August Poniatowski approach in diplomacy to Austria and Turkey – this led to protestand and orthodox rebel:
- revolt in Toruń (prostestant, supported by Prussia) - https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konfederacja_toruńska
- reovlt in Słuck (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slutsk) (orthodox, supported by Russia) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Słuck_Confederation
- revolt in Radom (catholic, supported by Russia also) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radom_Confederation
- Konfederacja Barska (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bar_Confederation)
If you want I can make map of partition, but I need a blank map of this map version.
- in 1767-1768 Sejm returned liberum veto (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repnin_Sejm)
- 1768 – Koliszczyzna – huge revolt in south-easter part of country (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koliyivshchyna)
- 1769 – Austria occupated Spisz (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austrian_occupation_of_Spiš_and_Podhale) – in game Nowy Targ province
- 1770 – Konfederacja Barska deposed king in Rada Generalna (General Council) with french inspiration
- this led polish-lithuanian king to turn to Russia
- it also a possibility to invade Turkey together with Russia (I think this let avoid partitions and Poland-Lithuania was Russian puppet state)
- 1771 – Kasper von Saldern called to occupation of Poznań
- 1772 – Russia, Prussia and Austria made partition of Poland
- UK, Holand and Russia are opposit to occupation Gdańska by Prussia, so Gdańsk stay in Poland-Lithuania
- Poland-Lithuania lost 30% of teritory and 35% of population
- trade in these areas fall down
- Stanisław August Poniatowski started propaganda action in whole Europe
- I think, that countries which took part in partition could be a litte destabilizated if they want integrate these areas and Austria should have the most destabilisation (Joseph II reforms), next Prussia and at the end Russia (cause Russia conquered teritories with orthodox or graeco-catholic population)
- Sejm 1773-1775 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partition_Sejm
- formation of Rada Nieustająca (de facto polish government - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permanent_Council – it was 5 departamets: foreing affairs, military, policy, treasury and justice)
- formation of Komisja Edukacji Narodowej (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commission_of_National_Education) – new tech team I think
- uniform taxes
- uniform tariffs
- new structures in army
- limit of king power
- army was to have 30.000 men but this didn’t achieve – i think events should achieve these i.e. for money
Possible althistory events:
- really unreal, but it was a plan by Załuscy family to conquer Silesia in 1763
- in 1762 Czaroryscy family (who were contected with Familia party) wanted to make a coup against August III (proposed king was August Aleksander Czartoryski https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August_Aleksander_Czartoryski or Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Kazimierz_Czartoryski)
- after death of August III could also broke out a civil war in Poland (Republikańci wanted to see Jan Klemens Branicki as the king https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Klemens_Branicki)
- 1770 – Poland-Lithuania invade Turkey with Russia after desposition king by Konfederacja Barska – in this event might lead to new polish-lithuanian lands (maybe Jedistan to Poland and Crimea direct into Russia?, maybe only Bukovina to Poland nad rest like in real?) - after territorial acquisition Poland will be a puppet state – this status keep up until Napoleonic wars – maybe Russia occupate a teritories which occupated after first partition, but in this scenario in west and south Poland have all what had
- after 1775 achieve army with money
I also thought about polish economy and I think, that in August III time should be events with mentioned latifundia – this, difficult to indicate in these map huge farms genereted also huge profit, which could be presented in game by industrial_modifie, which disappeare after succesful reforms (i. e. in althistory without polish partitions).
About names of army tommorow.
Yah, especially that this is only to 1772Certainly, between this post and the previous post, lots of reading to do about the situation in POL-LIT for the mod. Cheers
Yah, especially that this is only to 1772without science end economy
No with so huge problems in the country (divided society, magantes, small army etc..).I was expecting to read about POL-LIT being super powerful and dominating RUS instead.
I thought about it, and it was a few possbilities to conquer lands, i. e. mentioned war against Tureky with Russia (Bukovina or Yedistan, mayby North Yedistan could be polish), next in other history of Seven Years War could Poland join into war with Saxony against Prussia and conquer East Prussia, but then must something weird and bad happend in Russia (it was possible a civil war after death of Elizabeth of Russia? - I don't know). Next opportunieties was in Napoleonic Wars, if Poland wasn't have partition, which will be possible in event, I think (or even with partitions and with Napoleon victory - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duchy_of_Warsaw and propposed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithuanian_Provisional_Governing_Commission (in polish verion is also a map: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Komis...ięstwa_Litewskiego#/media/File:KRTWKL1812.pngAs an ousider, looking at the map, I expected POL-LIT to start conquering RUS and some more of Europe too?
Maybe in the mod that can happen?

Kurland with autonomy and direct govern of Lithuanian Provisional Gobering Commission - gubernia wileńska, gubernia mińska, gubernia grodzieńska and OB - oblast' Białystok, these dots in this map show where was French army in september and october 1812.)). But Napoleonic Wars is in future, I must first end XVIII century![]()
A propos Warsaw and Moscow i.e. in population in 1792 Warsaw was +/-120.000 people and Moscow in 1785 +/- 188.700 so the difference is small, but this are only people. In buildings and developments it hard to said about it, cause at first Warsaw was more European (than Moscow) city, but also much younger. Before 1600s Warsaw was a small town - centrum of Poland was in south (Cracow) - Warsaw is a capital after +/- death of Stephen (I) Báthory.I worked with this Polish guy, Piotr some years ago. He was always telling me that "Warsaw was a city when Moscow was a village". I think that must have been back in the 1600s?
I could see an alt event string where French Agents are in the Polish heartlands, stirring up support for Napoleon as he marches East towards Russia. I read there were lots of Polish mercenary regiments around this time. I could see the Agents organising these mercenaries and a "Polish militia" to join with the French as they march through POL-LIT, and fight with the French in Russia, and maybe they are the different straw that breaks the Russian "camel's back". With a French victory, Poland is restored as a French puppet?
