August III (1733-1763) – Austrian and Russian intervention lead to election August to the throne, in his time there was two significant parties – pro-Russia Czartoryscy and pro-Prussia/pro-France Potoccy, Czartoryscy in 1744 (Grodno sejm) wanted to increase polish army, but Potoccy blocked reforms. In 1749 former king – Stanisław Leszczyński (now lived in France) published
Głos wolny wolność ubezpieczający (The Free Voice Guaranteeing Freedom) – in this document Stanisław Leszczyński proposed reform in agrarian system, improve status of peasants, restriction of
liberum veto, increase polish army to 100.000 men and form real government with ministers, Leszczyński had support of part noble men.
In time when governed both Augusts took place only 35 Sejms (liberum veto with 15, only 8 with good ending).
