The next Pope will be Catholic.

That's 4 built holdings in a span a little over 100 years. It cost 2600 gold just to create those holdings themselves, and perhaps even more spent on upgrades. Republics are overpowered. Just have everyone start as a castle. No exceptions.*

Just an FYI: I'm playing a slightly modded version of the hotfix someone posted recently. I added titular empires of West and East Rome, but I didn't mess with holdings so super-Venice can happen anytime.

*I lied. Exceptions should be made for Rome, Constantinople, and Mecca. Add a temple holding for the head of the Catholic, Orthodox, and Sunni/Shiite religious figures. This way, there'll be a (small) court for the big 3 religions, and the player will be able to convert by inviting courtiers to tutor their children, so they don't need edit saves to convert. I also noticed that the Pope starts Pagan, while the Patriarch starts Orthodox. Is this a weird glitch or WAD?

It doesn't work for me, when I try to start the game the screen goes black for half a second and then nothing more happens.

I have that exact same problem. First I thought it was a mod incompatibility but even just playing DoK it won't load. The game loads fine without mods, or with any other mods I have installed. Is it necessary to wipe the settings.txt file under my documents before starting it the first time?

Maybe you could simulate religion spread by giving the various heads of religion a holding then having an event that triggers their conversion and see how it spreads from that point?

First impressions:

1) the random army levy does make the AI more aggressive, it, however, takes them some time to realize they can use them to their advantages a long time after receving them. I had a county next to me with a random 1000 levy and he took his long time to start using them.

2) That county that received the 1000 levy.... he had like 5 martial skill? (it was less than 10), whereas I received only 500 when I had around 20+ martial. Is supposed to work like that? I thought high martial leaders would receive a larger number of levies, or this was just pure luck?

3) I definitely DO NOT like the inclusion of town holdings. It gives advantages to the neighboring castles that will attempt to conquer them, and thus, there's already a bias on where will blobs start forming. I still prefer the idea of everyone starting equal. please?

4) I see we're back in tribal invasion CB, however after sometime I received the Conquest CB as well. I had both. Is this supposed to be working like this? Also, when will these dissappear?

Because you requested Feedback, I have more then a few things to request.

1. Personally I think Cultural Converstion should be overall faster. I know conversion has been reduced by 75%, but so far I have only managed to make one of my provinces convert to my culture. I may be jumping the gun a bit here, since I haven't played too much. However, considering that its currently year 57 and fast conversion stops at year 150, I hope you can get where I'm coming from.

2. Make it so that you can only create one Titular kingdom title. Because honestly, seeing 20 or so "You can create titular kingdom of X!" notifications can get annoying, especially if you want to create an actually, meaningful title. And while were on this, make it so that you can make your Primary title a kingdom, mostly to deal with the AI creating Kingdom titles that don't actually have anything to do with them. ie: The Duke of Anatolia creating the Kingdom of Athens, The Duke of Ulster creating the kingdom of Galloway, Duke of Ferrara creating Kingdom of Carinthia, ect ect.

3. Make Kingdom titles generally cheaper. Mostly because I seem to be running into a lot of odd situations where the big powerful entities who spent all their money on conquest still being Dukes, while the small nations who really didn't do much conquering and kept their money becoming Kingdoms.

4. Dukes can set Primogentive succession before changing into kingdoms. I thought I should inform you of this exploit.

5. I felt like I should've had a 5th point here, but I couldn't think of anything I feel should been changed. So Tacos.

Is it at all possible to fix the issue with Rome? It can make starting a game a bit tedious. Tomorrow I'll run an observer game and see what sort of bugs come up.

Do you mean the fact that you have to start as Rome, then pick another ruler by loading a save game?

This can't be fixed as it currently stands, unless something significant has changed recently. The reason you have to load from a saved game is because the game won't randomly generate leaders until play starts. The only way to "fix" this is to create leaders for every single county in the game. Of course, this means you'd no longer have random leaders--they would be the same every time you played the mod.

1) Agree with this u.u

2) I don't really see the problem here.

3) Superdukes are indeed a problem, but I don't think the solution is to make kingdoms cheaper.

4) This is on purpose (for now), according to the changelog.

5) Burritos!

Well, I brought up 2 is mostly because I find some of the Kingdoms that the AI create unrealistic and Immersion breaking. It may just be a personal problem. Then again, I just encountered the Kingdom of Austria, ruled by someone in Hungary, who doesn't own austria, and while the Duchy of Austria is still independent. Thats kind of a Problem for me.

Also, there was a changelog? Where?

Did you put your marshal on the province? A good marshal may make a lot of difference.

Martial affects the rate of a character receiving levy, not how much he receives. If anyone thinks the MTTH is too small, I can change this immediately. There is a conquest CB because that's how it has been since the 1.06 patch, it is available to all religion groups but the Christian group. The culture conversion should be 25% if you are a pagan. I checked the event file it it has "ownder" instead of owner. I will give every province a proper character and remove towns after my one week vacation, as well as creating more pagan religions (the names and placement will be arbitrary.) If you have any problems with the flags, then try loading up only the mod and no others. Also, if you have Steam, try deleting your whole gfx/flags folder and then verify the game cache (you're pretty much just reinstalling the game). This may solve the problem.

I will upload an update tomorrow after some more feedback.
