The current dev build features the library of Candlekeep, Waterdeep Harbour, the Citadel of Black Ash, and the Watchwall of Aglarond. We've also planned but not implemented the University of Cimbar, the Land of the Dead in Mulhorand, the Ziggurat of Eternal Victory in Unther, and something - possibly the fortifications of Dun-Tharos - in the Great Dale.

nd

ETA: I forgot two more that are already in: Faerntarn Palace in Darromar (formerly Ithmong) and the Arena of Blood in Manshaka. If I can get my hands on a model for something vaguely resembling the Potala, I might give Ra-Khati and the Yikarian Empire one each.

What about Mirabar as an Underground City Wonder?

any updates, on the release date?
I'm back at it, and I still anticipate a release at the end of this month.

Later this weekend, I will be posting a list of titles which should be settled but don't have canonical holders. If anyone wants to offer up a suitable D&D character (any edition) to be immortalised as a title holder, I'll be accepting nominations (within reason).

Coming soon!

Whould not mind an adventure zone reference...
I think we're trying to keep outright references to other media to courtiers and mercenaries; title holders should at least plausibly originate in this setting.

And so, without further ado, the first vacancy list. Each of these is an OPM in mainland Faerun with the culture and religion listed. Please feel free to put forward your own D&D characters, from any edition. They should have no more than 15 total class levels each (and don't have to have any). You can also nominate CK2 vanilla traits for them to have. We can't promise to include all submissions, and even if your character is accepted, they will be demoted to a baron or courtier if a canonical holder of the province in question comes to light. Unless you tell us otherwise, the characters will be granted the relevant provinces for the whole period 1360-1374 DR as independent feudal counts. Any known liabilities of the provinces will be mentioned:

Beliard - A High Coaster Faerunian county jammed up against three big independent duchies - Sharrven, Delimbyr Vale and Waterdeep.
Lyntara - An Illuskan Faerunian county between Neverwinter and Luskan. Kind of piratey.
Fireshear - An Illuskan Faeruian county at the seaward end of Icewind Dale. Literally the edge of the world - the most westerly mainland province north of Chult.
Ironmaster - Fireshear's neighbours. A Shield Dwarf Morndinsamman county immediately adjoining Ten Towns. Borders the Sea of Moving Ice.
Hundlestone - Another Shield Dwarf Morndinsamman county in Icewind Dale. This one has no port.
Taskaunt - An Aglarondan Faerunian county directly adjoining Thay. This province will become a tributary to the Red Wizards of Thay.
Tilbrand - An Aglarondan Faerunian county. This province will become a tributary to the Red Wizards of Thay.
Laothkund - An Aglarondan Faerunian county.
Delthuntle - An Aglarondan Faerunian county.

And one absolute stinker:

Gallad's Garden - The Ice Hunters. Illuskan Cultured, Ulutiuan Pagan tribal. If you pick this county, your character will be personally killed in battle by Obould Many-Arrows during the canon timeline.

So please, do take the chance to have your character included in the game!

For Taskaunt I whould like to nominate my Gnoll Bella of the Boneclaw dynasty. After showing much promise to Maligor the Zulkir of Alteration as a merc she successfully invaded Aglarondan Taskaunt with her tribe and pledged allegiance to Thay. She is rather cunning compared to the average Gnoll and is known to eat the corpses of her enemies to gain their courage. She hopes to settle her once nomadic tribe into her new county by displacing and enslaving/eating the original inhabitants. She wants to become respected as an equal to her neighbors, a very ambitious if not impossible goal. She is 19 years old and is ambitious quick, Shrewd, Wroth, Envious, honest, a Skilled Tactician and cannibal. She was a warlord when I played her and she and her party tracked down escaped slaves and did jobs for her boss Maligor.

If I can, I'll take Beliard

Name: Silvanor of the Coast (Real name: Tessarion of [ insert county here])

Race: yuan-ti pureblood (hidden)

Level: N/A (he was a secondary character so I never gave him actual stats)

traits: Ambitious, Cruel, Paranoid, Gregarious

Stats: it's fine if the stats are randomised but feel free to give him high intrigue

Short Bio: Long Story short, he was a sort of exiled to a "godforsaken place", for pissing off the wrong boss, ended up being sort of in control of his town, via typical yuan-ti methods, prone to melodrama and revengeful plots, and determined to make best of his situation.

Actual Bio: he was never an actual character, more like NPC that due to time constrains was all i had the time to do, so i was sort of the quest giver to the party,I remember him fondly because for a yuna-ti i hamed him up the max and had a bunch of memorable interactions with the rest of the party, top one was when i sold a Poisonous love potion to a Party member so he would poison his loved one, blamed it on a local wizard, when they went to kill said wizard, i cured said loved one, all the while only the GM knew what i had done and the party was none the wizard and though they had killed evil wizard that was cursing this poor girl.

P.S, I just remembered that CK2 does not have name changing mechanic outside of events or weird culture finagling, so has a compromise i would rather he be named Silvanor of House Tessarion

That's an awesome character - I actually have an alternative province for her, though - there's a gnoll-cultured county, Starwild, just north of Taskaunt which is a vassal of Thay rather than a tributary, which would fit better with the character history, I think. I've been looking for a characterful gnoll to be a vassal of Thay, and she's ideal. Not to ignore her role in overriding Taskaunt, but to give her a stronger context. (So if we go with that, someone else gets to be the subdued ruler of Taskaunt who has had to bend the knee to her.)

ETA: She should gain a strong claim on Taskaunt in the year of the victory there, of course.

Another great character - should he be High Coaster by culture to show his exiled condition compared to the mainstream yuan-ti in (say) Najara?

And please, keep the nominations coming!

Thanks,

May I take Ironmaster?

Race: dwarf
Name: Kilvar Durthane
class: paladin
education: tough solder
traits: cruel, just, shrewd,
stats: can be whatever you think is best

Bio: when i first made him he was a former constable of a dwarven town, strict with the law and using any means to enforce it. He is a firm believer in order and detest chaos and lawlessness. he was eventually forced to leave his town for his authoritarian nature and became a adventurer.

I'm guessing in this timeline he retained control of his town.

I’ll take Fireshear if possible!

Race: human

Name: Hydra Flammedent

Class: ranger

Education: brilliant strategist (feel free to reduce for mod balance, but she was VERY military)

Traits: Brave, Just, Horrifically Scarred, Shy

Level: Ranger, whatever level makes sense for the province (she was level 6 in the campaign she was in, it was a low level world)

Stats: as you can see, high martial, absolutely terrible everything else

Other: age 23, I don’t know to what degree you can alter a character’s appearance but she had blonde hair.

Bio: she was born to a minor noble family then joined a band of knights. Everything was going well (apart from her suffering massive scarring from an axe-wound to the face) until the knights got wiped out, except for her. She wandered as a mercenary for a few years till she fell in with a band of mismatched adventurers (aka ‘the party’). She was a ranger who thought a lot like a paladin.

In this timeline she deals with the loss of her knights by ruling over a province.

hard to say, since he did establish a serpent cult in the town, with the express purpose of turning the devout population into yuan-ti and enslaving the rest, so i guess ultimately yuan-ti culture would still applie

i'l take Delthuntle ( if it's available )

Race: half-elf

Name: Colophonius Regenschein

Class: Rogue

bio: (gonna try to keep it short and sweet )
Dude grew up in the slums of veltalar ( the older parts of the town also know as Old Velprintalar ) which proved to be a volatile enviroment to grow up in. This left young Colophonius short but tough and scarred, very good at running and with a great sense of smell ( that was his innate ability. Why? because he had a long nose ). He was poor and then "bam!" a group of wizards were mocking around with magic in a cavern under the city and suddenly there was a huge magical shifting tunnelsystem / cathacombe / labyrinth under the city filled with dangerous creatures and , more importantly , wealth and shiny trinkets! There for the taking! lots of people went down in the labyrinth ( these people were armed to the teeth and were colloquially called "boekenjagers". why? because they needed to have a name ), lots of these guys got their heads bittin of by nasty beasties and were never seen again. Rivalries between boekenjagers were made, traps were set, angry shouting to be shouted, yadayadaya.

Colophonius wanted in on the action, so he trained how to fight, trained how to navigate in the dark ( with his nose ), and figured out what stuff was edible in the tunnels and what would make your head turn green and then fall of your shoulders onto the ground and then shatter like a ming vase. Dude was a total success, brought in a lot of gold, bought a nice house in Delthuntle. Made enemies with another bookhunter called Rongkong Coma ( brute of a dude, not sure what race he was but he smelled bad. Colophonius knew that because he had a big nose ), and clashed with him numerous times while down in the labyrinth ( both almost dying a few times in the process, once at the same time when the dramatic duel had to be postponed because of a giant boulder ) and also a few times in the tavern. Eventually they both figured out this wasn't going anywhere, so they avoided each other as much as they could.

He then fought Chekani the Crawler, got in a conflict with goilot the masoner and guldenbart the tinkerer, spend a few days running from a very scary dragon, and then another few days days running away from a scary guy named Bogus Bogus ( he also smelled bad. Colophonius knew that because he was a boekenjager ), and had numerous small and scary adventures in the labyrinth before the wizards magics fizzled out and the labyrith kinda dissapeared ( a bummer, lots of veltalarians used it to store wine ).
Colophonius then joined up with the real d&d adventure since this was all kinda backstory ( Rongkong Coma came back, turns out he was just misunderstood ).

I kinda made him for the story to be a guy who tells a lot of tall tales, which may or may not be true ya know? There was a labyrinth, but what actually happened in there remains a mistery since the boekenjagers didn't have iphones to record it.

Traits: Greedy, envious, brave, shrewd, patient ,lustful( for the heck of it ), sturdy.

stats:
- learning = garbage
- martial = decent
- intrigue = good ( you can't run away from Bogus Bogus if you aren't sneaky, the dude can spot you from a mile away because he has big eyes )
- stewardship = average
- diplomacy = decent

You can do what you want with the character though. Not sure what his education should be, probably something militaristic, but i'l leave it up to you.

Lyntara please.
Character: Niklaus Alpra
Class: Rogue
Race: Human
Traits: just, wroth, diligent, ambitious, gregarious, shrewd, uncouth
Appearance: Messy brown hair, blue eyes, plain clothes
Bio: Born in Neverwinter to a shop clerk mother and trader father. His father was killed by pirates from Luskan when Niklaus was a young teen. With their main sourse of income gone their family fell into destitution. As he became a young man Niklaus started a gang of other poor youths. They would rob corrupt officials and pirates in Luskan as a form of revenge for what had been done. In his mid twenties now, Niklaus leads a decent sized band of Robin Hood-like rogues from a base near Luskan. They recieve aid from poorer locals and support from other nearby towns tired of piracy.

Thanks,

Great. Agreed!
hard to say, since he did establish a serpent cult in the town, with the express purpose of turning the devout population into yuan-ti and enslaving the rest, so i guess ultimately yuan-ti culture would still applie
OK - I might have a vacancy a bit further south where this setup would be a better fit, but you'll definitely get either Beliard or another province in or near the Western Heartlands.
i'l take Delthuntle ( if it's available )
