Culturally different province icons
Inpired by awesome Campaign Map - Culturally different cities, I decided to make a new stuff: Culturally different province icons.

Idea:
This mod changes the provinces incons to be different according to culture. Every culture has its own icons for the cities, castles and temples, specific to the period of XI-XII century (most of them belongs to the Romanesque style of architecture). Icons are linked to province culture, so, if culture will change itself, province icon will also change.

Download:
Culturally different province icons v. 0.7 - standalone version works with Vanilla map, SWMH 2.9 (and HIP) and with any variations of them.

How to install and use:
1. Download a CDPI, unpack it to documents/mod folder.
2. If you want to play together with HIP (SWMH and CPR), you must delete a "province_new.gfx" and "province.gfx" files in the "Interface" folder, and delete a "00_culture.txt" and "z_CPR_cultures" in HIP/common folder.
3. Play!

Compatibility:
It works with 2.5.2. patch.

Very nice work!

Compatibility:
Now it works only with SWMH 2.0 and BLG (doesn't work with Vanilla), and propably with every other mod (like PB, VIET), that doesn't change the following files:
- culture.txt
- 00_graphicalculturetype

VIET changes both of those, and PB also changes the first one, in case you didn't know, so this mod would currently be incompatible with them without some minor changes.

Amazing.

Would you do a version compatible with CPR and the Recycled units mod?

I just updated CDPI to newest patch (2.0.1.). It works with SWMH 2.85 and CPR (you can use it with PB + SWMH and VIET: assets, events and traits also).

This looks amazing.

Any chance of being able to use it without SWMH?

Vipe,

I downloaded the Vanilla version and installed it according to your directions. But the mod doesn't show up in the launcher.

I have tried installing it to both mydocuments/paradox/ck2/mod and also the steamapps/ck2/mod folder.

Shouldn't it work with HIP and SWMH? Whenever I have CDPI activated together with HIP and SWMH and I click on a province on the starting menu , the game crashes...
Edit: the crashes also appear without HIP and SWMH and yes I have reinstalled and I have patch 2.1.4

As I say in a main post, CDPI works properly only togehther with: Better Looking Garbs v. 10.04.2014 and BLG/CC for SWMH compatch v. 20.04.2014 and SWMH 2.854 (with HIP also ). So, if you will activate CDPI and SWMH only, a game will crash.

Oh yeah Better looking garbs...Forgot about that...Well BLG is probably not yet fully compatible with HIP as it makes a lot of portraits go haywire or just dissappear.Well that means I have to wait for BLG fix to use this one, meh
